My 1st question is: A bot iPage hosting service compatible with DeviantArt Chat? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Another question on my mind: The shop's showing the price of all items before tax. is there a way of showing the final price AFTER tax?..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

Yeah I found that bit in the admin section, but It doesn't seems to work. prices are still displayed without tax....

I'm confused.....

Make sure you have the tax class set right for all of your items. I know it seems like a silly thing but it was something I forgot to do when I first imported my catalog. Other than that it should work from the admin...

Tax class? Sorry, but what's that?.

When I select "Taxable goods" and enter the complete price, it calculates the price before tax automatically and it seems to be the right amount..

Does that mean that the tax class is right?.

Other than that it's all fine, but this is the one slightly annoying thing...

I had the same problem so I started searching for the solution to the tax problem on google and it led me to this forum and the following iPage website and contents. Hope this helps..

How do I setup a tax class?.

How to create proper Taxes in osCommerce..

Step 1:.

Click on "Locations / Taxes".

Click on "Tax Classes".

Click on "new tax class".

Enter in a name/description for your new tax class, ie:.

Name: Sales Tax.

Description: Sales Tax.

Click on "Insert".

Step 2:.

Click on "Tax Zones".

Click on "Insert".

Enter in a name/description for your new Zone, ie:.

Name: YourState (2 letter abr).

Description: Taxes for my state.

Click on "Insert".

Step 2.1:.

Click on the name that you had created above..

Click on "Details".

Click on "Insert".

Under "Country" select 'United States'.

Under "Zone" select your state(s) you can charge sales tax in.

Click on "Insert".

Step 3:.

Click on "Tax Rates".

Click on "new tax rate".

Select the "Tax Class" you created in step #1 for 'Tax Class Title'.

Select the "Zone" you created in step #2 for 'Zone'.

Enter in the percent of tax you can collect for 'Tax Rate'.

Enter in some description.

Click on "Insert".

Step 4:.

Now the long/boring part ... you will need to go into each item.

And select the name created in step #1 for 'Tax Class', and save..

That should get you the ability to setup taxes on your osCommerce site!..
