Quick question: A good iPage web host with monthly payment option? Looking forward for any answer or 2. Another quick question... I have an error on my catalog page. The left catagories box shows BOX_HEADINGS_CATEGORIES. When I view the source in my web browser I see the code that needs to be changed. Where do I find this in the oscommerce file structure..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you an answer..

Hi:.

Try searching for BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES (not HEADINGS). This should be defined in each of your includes/languages/***.php files..

Oops, I'm a bit slow on the draw....

Your right it is heading. I have changed all instances of BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES. I searched the catalog and did a fine. I changed it to just CATEGORIES but still get the same error. I also made sure that the / categories box text in includes/boxes/categories.php.

Define('BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES', 'Categories'); string was correct..

The strange thing is that when you first log on the error is not there, then when you revisit, the error appears. I just can't seem to figure this out. IT is driving me CRAZY!!.

You can view my iPage site here:.

Thanks!.

You kinda lost me with the changes you made, but whatever you did, just make sure that BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES matches in includes/boxes/categories.php and your language files..

$info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'left',.

'text' => BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES.

);.

// categories box text in includes/boxes/categories.php.

Define('BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES', 'Categories');.

Why change BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES? But of course you can change the 'Categories' string if you want......

Thank you for your response. I changed it because It shows up as BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES on the catalog page, so I thought that it must be pulling that text from somewhere. If I remove all instances of this statement and change it to just categories why or why would it still be pushing the text BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES. Where is this statement comming from?.

Can any one help..

Thank you for your efforts!.

Hey, you already got the answer on the other thread. At least the most likely answer.

Without "<?php .." you are printing BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES just as any other words, but if you enclose it into "<?php ..", OsCommerce looks for a variable named BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES. And this variable is defined in your english.php.

Hope I manged to explain it in not very complex manner.

Have a look at catalog/includes/boxes/categories.php. Search for BOX_HEADING.

Probably you made a typo while installing some contribution. Correct string shall be BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES.

This includes text defined in your catalog/includes/languages/english.php:.

// categories box text in includes/boxes/categories.php.

Define('BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES', 'Categories');.

Or spanish.php or chinese.php or whatever language you use.

P.S..

It is nice to include URL to your site. This way it is usually easier to understand what you are asking about..
