Got a question, hope someone can answer... Acai Berry + Nature Cleanse while on the Medifast Diet? Thanks in advance for any response. Another quick question... Other topics will be discussed that may not be appropriate for the easily offended..

Please discontinue reading Tough Love threads if they are going to cause you to become upset..

Medifast is a wonderful program with many different types of support and a fabulous community. We understand that everyone is an adult and this is not a "mean" group. For some of us, we thrive on this program if we have a place where we are held accountable, where we commit to the program 100% and where we have a place to chat with others who feel the same..

What we believe:.

1. Cheating on Medifast is NOT a strategy to get us out of our fat suits.

2. The only way for us to learn about our problems with food is to take the word "choice" out of the equation when it comes to Medifast. Our only "choice" is 5 packets and 1 weighed and measured lean and green a day.

3. We look to those who have been successful with this strategy to continuously remind us about why this way, for us, is the way to go.

4. We believe that, even though we are completely committed, knowing that we have a group that holds us accountable for our actions is both useful and important.

We commit to:.

1. Remove the word "choice" from our vocabularies.

2. Follow the Medifast plan as written, including transition and maintenance.

3. Tell our "inner brat" to shut the H-E-** up and quiet him or her through abstinence from off plan foods.

4. Give and receive tough love without complaining or calling each other "mean".

5. Cheerlead fellow group members as they follow the path to thinness.

6. Make Medifast the LAST diet we ever go on.

7. Check in with the group as often as our schedule reasonably allows.

8. Be honest with ourselves and our Medifast family and to stay 100% OP at all times. We also swear that WHEN (not if) we are having a tough time and feel like we may eat SLUDGE, to come to our Medifast family first and ask for support and help to get us through the struggle..

Getting the banner:.

We accept anyone who follows the Medifast plan 100% as written, but not limited to, the Quick Start Guide. We recommend participating on the team for 1 week prior to requesting the Tough Love Banner to ensure that compliance to our bylaws is do-able for you..

Anyone can start the thread. If youre the first one here in the morning, copy this opening post and create a post for the new day. Anyone is welcome to join, and if folks have additional ideas on how we can commit, we are happy to hear them!..

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could help you..

Good morning Penny - hope you're feeling better today!.

Hi Zoe! Luckily, I did not wake up to a blanket of snow - just sleeting rain - yuck! I'm waking up. I think Penny went back to bed, so I'll put on some coffee. I like Columbian Fair trade. And of course, hot cocoa, which in this stupid weather is quickly becoming my favorite!.

Good morning to all that follow!.

Good morning, Zoe and Melissa! No, I didn't go back to bed, but I'm slacking on the coffee. I'm having one cup, then switching back to my Earl Grey..

We dodged the bullet here snow-wise. They were talking about a foot for us; now they're only forecasting an inch or two of wet snow..

Melissa, I meant to ask you if you've seen the Melita Ready Set Joe pour-over thingy. I love my fresh pour-overs. Even better than K-cups!..

Huh? Nope, clueless in a field of clues at the height of clue-mating season! I will have to go investigate. Does the internets understand "thingy"?.

I'll be back after looking for this pour over thingy!!!!!.

You can get just the top part separately - that's what I did. It uses the #2 cone filters..

Love mine!..

So you put fresh grinds in it and then just pour hot water over it, is that the idea?.

Huh! Looks Veeeeeeery interesting!.

Ooooh, now that I'm looking, I'm seeing they make them in porcelain and also in a larger size you can use with a carafe.....

Yeah, I used to pour in the water slowly, but then I realized it didn't matter. The longer the grinds are in the boiling water, the better. Best cup of coffee EVAH...

I'll get one and see how it goes! Now that I've ordered a bunch of water bottle/travel mugs, I'm set!!!!.

Penny - are you feeling better?.

Zoe - whats up this weekend, anything fun?.

I'm finally making the duvet cover I wanted to make - I'll start it this afternoon and finish probably tomorrow or Sunday. At least I've got most of what I need - though I'm running out of thread - always an excuse to buy more fabric for some strange reason... :-).

Ok, so who's joining me in pancakes this morning? I've waited all week for these da*n things (dd's asleep, and I've got a can of oust, so she'll never know!) She goes back to her externship on Monday (can't wait!!!)..

Melissa I already had my honey mustard pretzels. I wanted something salty and Connor's not up yet. I'll have a pancake for my midmeal, though probably..

I wish I could say I'm feeling better, but I'm actually a little worse today. My doctor's office just opened, so I'll give them a minute to let the phones die down and I'm calling to get my butt in there...

Morning, thanks for starting us up.

Last day of school before cycle break for my 2nd grader, I'm going to go take him lunch. His student teacher leaves today and they are having a "party" for her too. So after today he has 3 weeks off, I LOVE LOVE LOVE year round school.

I've got to try to get everything in this house in good order before I leave, my Mom will keep it like that if it's nice when I leave..

Also hoping TOM will just start so I'll quit being so damned hungry...

I'm so glad you're taking care of yourself. Take it easy and please feel better soon!!!!!.

Dang - I just called the doctor's office. Their website says their office hours are 7:30-6. I got an answering service who said their "phone hours" start at 8 and to call right at 8 to get through. Yeah, this is what I feel like doing...

Good morning Anna! Lots of great stuff coming up for you soon! Cleaning is a pain, but worth it. Have fun with your little one! I'm off to make my pancakes..

So, I started what I thought was a clever April Fool's thread, but wasn't awake enough to realize what the title REALLY said. Here's my original post from the.

As you can see, I'm still not in gear....but I'm out the door now!..

Jan, your vacation is just around the corner! It sounds like they're trying to get all they can from you before you go!.

I love the idea of full year school! Who do I talk to to get me some of that!?.

I'm off to see the doctor. I was lucky to get through on the phone the first time I called and get a quick appointment for 9 am, so I'm off. I'll be back.....

Thanks, for the coffee,.

I need it this morning more than I did on Monday! I am a tea drinker when I'm sick too. IO liek it other times, but I prefer it to coffee when I'm feeling blah. Love Earl Gray myself. As of late I have been drinking Twinings Green Tea and Jasmine. The steam from that cup smells so delicate and nice, and it transmits nicely to the taste buds too..

I hear you on the snow issue. Woke up to about an inch or maybe two. But we're forecasted for the sleety rain for the rest of the day. The western part of our state was slated for what you upstate NY folks were supposed to get..

April Fools, right? Ya thanks Mother Nature, Right back atcha! (as Keri thumbs her nose and gives the Bronx cheer!).

I AM gonna join you in a pancake this morning. CAnt decide if it will be choc chip pr plain. Decisions decisions...

Good morning Jan! Glad to hear you're OP while life is crazy all around you! We can do this no matter what!.

Good morning Keri - how are you doing this morning? Enjoy the pancakes - I made Oatmeal pancakes - YUM!!!.

Off to take a shower and get ready for this busy day. I may even check out the consignment shops later.....

, no plans this weekend. There is a lot to do around the house, perhaps some of it will get done. Perhaps not..

, I use a french press coffee mug sometimes, but the only issue is that the grounds stay in it the whole time so if it takes me a while to drink, it doesn't taste as good. But I like it anyway because I can pour in the water and run out the door on really frantic mornings..

My coworkers pranked me already- I came in and my mouse and one of my monitors wouldn't work. I forgot it was April Fools Day and got mad, then heard the snickering. I actually like getting pranked, I think it is funny, so, no harm done..

Good morning again to everyone who has arrived since I last popped in...

I love it, they go for a quarter (9 weeks) and then get 3 weeks off. FOr summer they get about 4.5-5 weeks off. We start school in Mid July but then have a week in September and the first two weeks of OCtober off, then 3 weeks at Xmas times and 3 weeks for spring break. Our local daycares facilitate care for "cycle breaks". This is a public school you get into by lottery and it is fabulous, it'll be the thing I miss most when I move..

Morning Keri and Jan,.

Sorry about the snow..

UGYH. Got a call from DH...When I picked up the phone and said "Hi Honey" He said. Tis is NOT , I repeat NOT an April Fools Joke. You're new stove is arriving in an hour, they gave me an hours notice. It needs to go into the garage until I get home, you need to move my motorcycle and blah blah blah..." He was PO'd. They were supposed to give a warning call the night before so we could prep.

He is so mad..

Good thing his lovely bride is strong like bull. (LOL) I got everything moved outta the way...

Morning, TLers! Another whole week at home - it's the lap of luxury being able to check in daily! I miss you guys when I'm too busy to check in. I still can't keep up - no chopped tofu today! - but i'm here!..

Stove is here...yay. Maybe Hopefully DH will be able to have it all hooked up by the time I get home from work this evening. (Tee Hee Squeal!!) Need to run out the door to work now..

Happy Friday my dear Tough Lovelies! I will try and check in through out the day if I can. Gonna be a busy one,though..

No time for added chopped tofu. Greetings and happy Friday to all who follow...

Hi everyone! I'm introducing myself to hopefully become a part of your group. This is my second rodeo on Medifast and the tough love approach is how I like to do Medifast! I am 100% OP kinda girl and I'm awesome ON Medifast...I just suck at eating when I transition OFF of Medifast..

So do I join?!.

I'm very open and honest, so if you have any questions about me...feel free to ask!..

Fast check in as I have a lot to get accomplished in the next 30 minutes. Just wanted to say 'hi' and that the blessed scale finally shows a 2# loss!!! YAHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (scale has been stuck since March 8th)..

Hope it is a great friday (no foolin')...

Good morning ladies! I just wanted to check in real quick before I go running. Can't wait to see what it feels like without smoking a cigarette before and after a run! Will let y'all know and will probably be able to chop some tofu when I get back. And thanks for all the congratulations last night!..

Morning Tls'.

Ah....Friday! I hope everyone has a great weekend...

Good Morning Kris - keep it going, you're doing great!.

Hi Mia!!! You have a fabulous weekend, too!.

Talien - WAY TO GO!!!!!! Congrats on the 2# loss. Glad you got some movement going!.

Hi and welcome Debra. The rules are simple. We don't go off plan, and if you're tempted to, you must come here FIRST to let us help you. Ok? Great, welcome aboard..

I'm off to the bank and run some errands. I'll check in later!.

Mornin' to all who follow!!!!!.

Morning lovelies!! No chopped tofu this morning because I'm subbing and checking in from my phone. I had a blowout this morning on the way in. Thank God my husband didn't think it was an April Fool's joke when I called him! He came and got us, delivered us to our destinations on time and is now getting me 2 new tires!! Soooo thankful he is off work today...

I'm glad he was off today!!! And that you and A made it to school.

When I quit, my cough actually got worse for a few weeks, so don't be shocked if that happens to you. My doc said it was the healing thing going on...

Good Morning Lovelies!!.

Ok so April Fool's on me... it's taken me how long now to figure out what "chopped tofu" means! Hahaha!.

- I hope your doctor can fix you up quickly!!.

- Wow! You're lucky you're okay. Good thing hubby was able to come to the rescue..

- Where in the Hudson Valley are you from?! I'm from Southern Orange myself!.

Teehee to everyone else I forgot - HELLO and HAPPY FRIDAY!! That's all the chopped tofu.

I can muster at the moment. We got some snow here this morning and I don't want to hear from all those Westerners how hot it is over there - send it our way! Summer needs to come asap.

Good morning TLers! Ugh, rainy morning but I'm glad it's Friday. Off to the Dr so no chopped tofu...

Happy Friday TLovelies... And go play a prank on someone. Really. It'll be fun. Just run away fast..

Thanks for the coffee Penny. I hope your dr. appointment goes well..

I will join the pancake brigade for my mid afternoon snack. Coffee and hot cocoa for breakfast. EVERY. DAY. Love it..

Kris, keep up the good work!!! Woot!!.

Talian - Two lbs is great! Good job..

Penny and Melissa - I use a french press every morning. It's da bomb..

Welcome Debra!.

Good morning to Melissa, Steph, Keri, Zoe, Anna, Yia Yia and Mia.. Waves to those who are undoubtedly posting even as we speak. eta: Lisa and Sassy posted while I was posting. Hi girls..

It's going to be a very lovely 84 here today. Love it. I have Friday's off, so after a bit of housework, I see some outside time in my future..

I slept so well last night. I actually slept for 8 hours straight. Didn't get up once to pee. I haven't done that in over six months. Wahoo!!!..

Good morning, everyone! I actually get what chopped tofu means from context but how in the world did that term come about?.

Good luck to.

: if you have prank ideas, I'm so ready to hear them... I just don't have any ideas this year! I think studying abroad in Senegal (where they definitely don't have the April Fool tradition) put me off my game...

Good morning everyone..

Penny and Melissa, I've used the melita filter holder for years. I even have a gold plated filter (very inexpensive) when I want especially yummy coffee and want to be nice to mother earth..however, it's kind of a pain to clean. My mom has a small compost bucket in her kitchen which she puts the coffee grinds in and then it all goes out to her huge compost area (she lives on over an acre) when it's time. LOVE my easy delish. I bought mine at the grocery store and they have them at Fred Meyer and usually carry them at Starbucks...

, welcome, welcome. You join by just participating. We don't even have a hazing tradition..

We just ask that you only refer to off program things as "sludge" and if you feel yourself about to slip and go off program, come in here first and get talked down and not after. We're a fun group..

, Morning. I have been unimaginative on the April Fools front too. My Yia Yia (Grandma in Greek) used to call us EVERY year starting at the age of 87 and would tell us she was getting married...

Morning my Lovelies!.

Going to be a quiet day. Some light cleaning and unfortunately, I will have to do some work today, but nothing that's going to stretch my brain too much. Just some prep work for the new invoicing cycle next week..

Debra - Welcome! All you need to do to join this group is to stay OP all the time, never discuss off plan foods or if you do, call it sludge, and promise to come to us BEFORE you give in to any cravings or thoughts of off plan eating. If, in a week you still want to be a part of this group, then we will send you a banner. This is a great group full of fun, opinionated and off-color people..

Penny - Get thee to a Dr, even if that means Urgent Care! You have a date tomorrow, remember? 163/8/10.

Morning to everyone else...

Welcome Debra!.

Still no chopped tofu, have to shower after that run and then me and hubby have a lunch date with a friend who hasn't seen me since before I started medifast. After that, I'm going to my hair consultation appointment..

Thanks again for all the encouragement. You guys are AWESOME!!!.

Corbie-I did wake up with a little cough this morning. Other people have told me the same thing. It's gross but I'm glad all that stuff will be coming out! Even with the little cough, I can already tell a difference in how I am breathing when I run. I don't THINK it's in my head, but who knows. My husband told me my breathing sounded better as well..

Everyone else, I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll check in with y'all later...

, that sounds hilarious, especially the first time!.

Today, I'm trying my coffee without any adornment... if I can handle this, I can totally save my condiments for other things! We'll see how it goes...

Quoted for TRUTH! I just quit smoking on March 25th and immediately got bronchitis (not sure if that was coincidence or side-effect of quitting) and I am STILL sick. It's like the tar was holding my lungs together and once I quit smoking they fell apart lol...

, it was so funny the first time...then it got to the point that on the date (although sometimes she'd get the date wrong and call 3/31 or 4/2) the phone would ring and we'd all say "act surprised"..

I LOVE LOVE my sea salt, pepper and Mrs. Dash, so I am so selfish with my condiments. Luckily, I have always drank my coffee black. People have been talking about Almond Milk in coffee..

, isn't it the consensus that it is okay to use? I think I saw you agree to it on a thread. If not, just smack my ***...

Hey everyone. No chopped tofu!!.

I am exhausted. I have been exhausted since recommitting. WTH is going on? I'm starting to get a little concerned about it. Today is Day 11 100% and I should not be this tired, should I?..

Good morning all!.

Zoe, that does sound funny! Steven got on the intercom this morning and told the kids they were late for school. Only one of them fell for it, as this week is spring break!.

Melissa, I'm with you. I have enough with my "gifts" to make it through almost 3 months, but I may be placing some case orders for pancakes, brownies and hot cocoa!.

G'morning Penny! I found that I had to just give up coffee altogether. (Sacrilege for a nurse! Steven asked if they were going to revoke my nursing license if I didn't drink coffee!).

Anna, I'm with you... I feel like I'm STARVING even though I'm not doing anything differently! Was expecting it today but I know Medifast can mess with your schedule. I'm just busily studying to try to keep me distracted until my phone alarm goes off for my next meal!.

Jan, that is soooo something I would have done. It'll fall to the bottom of the threads soon as long as no one posts on it..

Keri, good job on getting everything moved. Your poor DH!.

G'morning Corbie!.

Welcome, Debra!.

Talien... yay on the loss!!.

Kris, pretty soon those runs will be much easier with the improved oxygenation!! Good luck and congrats on the quitting!.

Ugh, Jasmine.... glad he got you (and I'm sure he could tell from your voice that it was not a joke!) but what a PITA!!!.

Lisa... Idaho is western, too, and it's definitely NOT hot here. We are still having bouts of snow with lots of wind and drizzle!!.

Morning, Sassy! Hope it's nothing serious heading you to the doctor....

Hi, Cheri!! Glad you got some uninterrupted sleep!.

Good morning, De.... invoices means income, right?.

ETA: Good morning to Susan (our grandma sounds like a hoot!), Carolyn (maybe all the exercise means you need a 4&2?), and Claire!!..

Strep - check. Ear infection: check. Z-Pack: check. Feel better for my dinner date with my husband tomorrow: let's hope so...

, Z-packs tend to kick in very quickly, I bet you feel better by then..

I almost typed quick in very kickly..

, I don't know what to do. I am staying under 45 minutes, and I've cut back on treadmilling and I do a 4 & 2 on CrossFit days...

Good Morning my Tlovelies!.

You won't believe this, but we had another sewer pipe leak yesterday and my plumber is suppose to come and figure this out this morning! It only leaked in one place and I'll be snookered if it isn't leaking from the pipe that was cut and capped off! No water from the house flows through it! *sigh* It has to be ground water from outside the house. I just can't get a *freaking* break on this!.

Welcome to your new Medifast home,.

FYI, because I know.

Is at the doctor right now...she might razz you about your sparkle signature. She has trouble accepting sparkles...not sure why since the jewelry she makes sparkles!.

I am so so so proud to see you have that first day off of the cigs. That is awesomer than the awesome!.

No more chopped tofu...plumber just arrived...

DAMN! You got slammed with everything. Poor thing!! Hopefully the Z-Pack will kick everything to the curb so you can get better ASAP and have your dinner date with your hubby!..

Holy hell, woman! That blows. I'm so sorry. Definitely hope you feel better for tomorrow. If he's going to be so sweet and make a reservation and all....

Carolyn: yes, it's reasonable to still be exhausted on day 11. I was tired as crap for weeks. Just rest as much as you can and give your body time to adjust...

Okay, thanks,.

Looks like I am just impatient!.

Yet another reason to 100% it to goal .....

, I'm on day 40 and I'm.

Tired. And your posts last night about not being able to find Trader Joes made me laugh because the first time I went to mine, after google mapping it, I couldn't find it at all! It was on the bottom level of the back side of a shopping center, behind and partly beneath a huge parking garage. I felt like I'd stumbled on a secret when I finally found the blasted place...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's not feeling the amazing MFin' energy that everyone talks about... I think I'm more tired on Medifast than off it and that's saying something, since I have issues with chronic fatigue...

Good Morning Everyone!.

I'm loving this friday. The bosses are all OOT, no to-do list, phones are not ringing, and I am in the office alone. Meaning that I get to hang out on the board more today. Woot, Woot. Maybe I'll get to participate more in the conversation instead for just lurking..

Zoe- It sounds like we will be getting that blanket of snow and cold next week. I wish it would come and go quickly because I would really love to start my garden..

Penny- Boo for being sick. I am sorry. Sending you truck loads of get better dust your way..

Melissa- You'll have to post pictures of your duvet cover once you are finished..

Keri- Yay for a new stove! I'd move mountains for one..

Welcome Debra!.

And.... Hello to everyone else!..

Thanks for all the well-wishes, Tough Lovelies. I would take a nap, but I want to enjoy my alone time! But my butt is firmly planted on this couch..

Momma and poppa eagle switched places a little while ago and I got a glimpse at the eggs. They say there are three, but I only saw two. I was lucky to see them since I only pop in every now and then to check...

Thanks! That's strange...I can't see anything sparkly in my signature at work. What's sparkly!? Will have to check it out when I get home!..

Debra - your name? Where it says "made with"? That's the sparklee bit...

Today is a half-day for students and the library secretary and I are going out to lunch after they leave and then to Trader Joe's so I will finally know where it is..

! Welcome!..

Hi melissa & Zoe - snow in april? rain? pfft - I won't mention my weather out here..

Lisa - sending you some of our gorgeous weather. I AM gloating but we just came of 20 out of 25 days of rain. i'm not used to ANY weather except fog in the summer..

Cheri - I tried the raisin in the toothpaste with my husband. um - he didn't get it. lol. I didn't hear a peep. came into the bathroom and finally asked "did you brush your teeth" he said "yes" "with toothpaste!?" "yes" SIGH "did you see anything odd in the toothpaste" "yeah" LOL. not much of a prank if you have to describe it step by step.

I wanted to dye vivian's milk blue this morning but had no food coloring...maybe next year..

Susan - love your grandma - that is super cute..

Pittiekisses - omg, I think you need to light some sage down there! now my inner hippie speaks - but it couldn't hurt. thats some serious bad luck..

Freya - your message last night made me laugh and absurdly happy... i'm happily putting off exercise and just focus on 100%ing MF..

Hi everyone else - have a great on plan friday..

Weigh in is tomorrow - I really really want a 25 lb loss - think I can lose 23 lbs by tomorrow morning? JK - we will see. ticker will be updated manana..

Xo - teri..

Teri- Sure no problem, I will grant you an overnight weight loss of 23 pounds. If you will grant me one of 38...

Ha Ha. Ok fine. You can have your 23 but, you owe me one...

I hope you feel better.

I can't believe you have another leak YIKES.

The sun came out, I was starting to feel like I lived in Seattle...

EW EW EW I just opened a packet of old-ish cream of chicken, and there were BUGS IN IT. I'm not even kidding... I've seen what cream of chicken should look like, and these are definitely bugs... I'm so grossed out I might puke... this is not the first time this has happened to me, either. (The first time was with an old box of Ramen.) PUKE...

That'll teach you to not eat your Medifast quicker! How on earth are they getting into sealed packages though?..

Trying cream of broccoli now... I pray that there are no bugs in it, or I will DEFINITELY lose my appetite...

That happened to me on my honeymoon.. we bought some sludge at the grocer and there were bugs in it. YUCK..

, I know, I know! This stuff was from my first time on Medifast (shame). But I have no idea how they're getting into sealed packages it was the same with the Ramen. All I can think is that, after a while, they're able to burrow into the small holes that come from a package not being perfectly sealed. Obviously they're small enough to do that..

, that would have to take away from the romance! :P I can't even imagine... Bleh...

It makes me think that they were in there before they were sealed. ewww..

Hey medical types, I have a question for you. So I know our body temperature varies from 98.6 but I wonder if being in ketosis lowers our body temp? At the Dr I was 97.2 today. I'm definitely always cold while on MF.

I'm not concerned, just wondering...

Good Afternoon Tough Lovlies!.

In bed, but just ran errands with DH! Got my new super-security Driver's license. We ordered a new mattress ( back to a King), shopped at Sams, stopped briefly at Target to get my favorite Paul Newman's salad drsg: Sun-dried Tomato, then home. Blessed home..

I started all the lunch prep while Dh emptied the car. We're going to enjoy salmon, fresh asparagus, and sliced fresh tomatoes..

Today DH weighed it and 133. I can't catch that Dude and he isn't even trying. But, he's fully recovered from the colonoscpoy prep and procedure yesterday..

Hope you feel better soon, Penny..

Hope the snow and yucky weather stops right now and we can all enjoy a glocious Spring..

Skyped with DD1 and DGD1 yesterday. It was 65 degrees in Tahoe with tons of snow bulit up around everything. Dgd1 really enjoys daycasr a few hours each week. She's taking more and even said, "Hi, Grama." Okay. I did live for that..

Hope you all enjoy your weekends fully..

Congratualtions, Kris! You are home and you are working this program..

Welcome Debra. read those rules and if you can stand us, you're in..

Love to you all in all your adventures..

EEE-yoo on the bugs! There are these little bugs that lay their eggs in flour and wheat and they hatch when the stuff gets old. I guess the eggs are microscopic. Keeping my flour in the freezer ensures they die. I wonder if it would hurt to keep packets in the freezer? Regardless, CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was probably from a third party supplier and they do need to know about it. They'll ask you for the numbers on the box or packet.

My ears keep popping open and closed. I wonder if this ZPack is working already?.

, I loved the April Fools Gramma story, too!.

The good thing about being sick is that I'm working on some jewelry things that are on my To-Do list and have moved some of them to my Ta-Da list..

, your ring is done and I will list it in the morning as RESERVED for you,.

, your ring is done (and it's gorgeous) and I am working on the earrings. I will let you know when I list them for you..

, your ring is also done and I will list it as reserved for you, too. Something about cold beads is soothing on my fingers. And dont' worry. I'm sitting in a tub of Purell..

Oops... I just threw the packet away in total disgust, and the dormitory housekeepers just took away the trash bag. And I definitely don't have the box number that disappeared about a year ago. Man... I'm still revolted. Bugs are just not my thing!..

It isn't weird at all for old dry foods (grains, beans, etc) to have bugs. I'm really hard to disgust..

Gross yourself out more by reading all about it:.

If she's had the same bugs in her ramen, it's not a Medifast problem. Bugs can get into sealed packages if given enough time. If it were me, I would fix the problem rather than complain to MF, since she knows it's her pantry. Where do you live, BTW?.

Anyway, pantry bug protocol:.

1) Throw away everything infected or that might be infected..

2) If you're keeping some stuff that might be infected, it has to go into ziploc freezer bags to keep it away from other things. That means all your currently in the pantry Medifast stuff has to go in freezer bags. Get them from Costco so you don't go broke..

3) Clean, scrub, boil, bleach. Pull *everything* out of your entire food storage area. Scrub it down. Use Windex or spray bleach on every surface. Get every last crumb..

4) Only utterly impervious things can go back in this storage area. Glass jars, metal cans, and things in freezer bags. If it were me, I'd avoid having anything they like to eat for a while - I'd just not re-purchase grains, crackers, ramen, etc, and only have stuff in jars/cans..

5) You might want to store any new Medifast food in an entirely different place (top of the dresser in the bedroom?) sure to be free of pantry bugs while you give them a while to be really good and gone. If you've got some bugs inside one of those older packets, they could re-infest. Best to leave a wide berth and not give them snacks or new food to invade...

Bugs. In. Your. Packet. Why, hello there, apple-cinnamon-oatmeal-that-I-ate-for-breakfast. It is good to feel you in my throat again.

Penny. I am so full of salty goodness (again, jeez, Freya, mind of the gutter! There are innocent people here!), I'm like a freakin' sea. A Sea of MFin' Awesomeness. I'm sorry you're sick though. But hopefully the cool beads sliding through your fingers continue to soothe you (Freya- ok, just kidding. I'm done.

Debra. Welcome. Clearly no one has told you about the rigorous hazing that all newbies must go through. It involves Cheez-Whiz. And pickles. And your sparkles might end up some where interesting.

De can fill you in on it in more detail, but it's not for the faint-hearted. Then again, neither is De..

To everyone else, hello and happy Friday! I'm taking my first trip on MF! Seriously, I have not traveled anywhere since Christmas. This weekend we are heading to my parents' house. It's not far (4 hours away) and they are well aware of my new lifestyle. But....

....Wednesday a friend and I head to Miami Beach for 5 days! This mini-trip will be a good way to test out "Traveling with MF"!.

Swimsuit shopping sucks, I might add. Anyone read the children's book, "The Saggy, Baggy Elephant?" Well, that's all I could think of yesterday while swimsuit shopping. That, and sludge that rhymes with "fausages"...

Connor, good to see you in such fine form this morning. You must be feeling better? So glad you get to have a trip - that sounds great..

As for the fausages issue, well, here's what my BFF had to say when I was complaining about a particular lower abdominal sagging issue: "I see what you are upset about, but it's not as bad as you think." Gotta love someone who will speak the truth. Yes, you have issues from having destroyed your body through being a fat hag for too many years. But it's not as horrifying as you think and men will still want to have sex with you..

That's the kind of feedback I need to hear. If I could check out your situation, I'm sure I'd say the same to you...

All of the Medifast stuff was sitting in my parents' house in Phoenix before I brought it back here (to Michigan) after spring break. The Ramen Incident occurred in northern Arizona. It wasn't the same bugs (these looked more like weevils, the Ramen bugs looked more like maggots and were much tinier), and they definitely were never in the same place at the same time I had the Ramen at boarding school when I was 17, and didn't start Medifast until I was 19. So... in short... two isolated and disgusting incidents..

I will definitely de-bug the food area, though. Never a bad idea, even if the bugs got into the packet in Arizona instead of Michigan...

Exactly! Regardless of point of origin, they're in your food area *now.* Seek and destroy...

Thanks Calire! Now I really am not going to be able to eat any time soon, thanks! Just kidding - But follow Freya's instructions exactly -she knows what she's talking about!.

Ok fast chopped tofu:.

Lisa - I'm in Tappan, which is in Rockland - 20 minutes up from the city. Love.It.!!!.

Hi Sassy!.

Susan - your grandmother story is the BEST and if I ever become a grandmother, I will DEFINITELY copy her - what a hoot!!!!!.

Freya, thanks for the confirmation on the tiredness issue - I've been exhausted as well but did not attribute it to Medifast as much as just me being tired - nice to know I'm not alone!.

Tonimarie - great idea, I will take pics of the duvet cover because it will match the curtains - so I'll try and get that in too. The curtains are done and this is the last piece I'll do until the fall when I change colors in the room..

Penny - I hope the zpack kicks in fast. Get lots of rest, ok?.

PK - Can't believe this is happening to you!!!! Hey, you wanna come stay with me? I've got an extra room or two! :-).

Hi De!!!.

Hi Bethie!!!.

Hi Kris - keep up the great work!!!!!.

I'm off to sewing machine for a bit. Be back later!.

Love to all,.

Blech with the bugs..

- Cracking up at your husband's response to the toothpaste. How anticlimactic..

- my temp is always below normal. I'm usually at around 97. If I make it up to 99, that's a fever for me..

Toni Marie.

- Yay for the bosses being gone. Now that's my idea of a good Friday. Enjoy!!!.

- I hope the meds kick in soon and you get to feeling better for your date tomorrow night..

Just made ten batches of homemade doggy treats. My friend and I started a business, South Paw Pet Treats. She is doing a farmer's market this weekend..

Now it's laundry time. The fun never ends...

So plumber thinks the problem is the laundry line. Either it is tied into that pipe outside the house or the laundry line ties into leech field or anything and the constant influx of water on top of saturated ground (much rain here) is too much for it..

Either way...need to re-route the laundry pipe and dig a new (or perhaps first ever) leech field. The people who built this house did a lot of short-cuts on the plumbing. It's truly ridiculous. The guy was a carpenter and all the wood work is homemade and amazing. Why would you spend so much time making a gorgeous home and then let the plumbing go to h*ll?.

(Those are my daughter's thoughts exactly! She's such a beautiful girl, but God gave her problems in the plumbing department!).

It's frustration Friday around here...

! I'm so excited about my jewelry!.

I'm extremely excited to report that I found Trader Joe's! WHOO HOO! I have 3 boxes of chili lime chicken burgers! TJ's is also right next to a "Life is Good" store and I love their stuff. I don't want to spend money on new clothes right now when I'm shrinking, but it will be a nice treat to get a work-out t-shirt or two as I get smaller...

My temp has been low my whole life, in fact my kids too we rarely make it past 98.0..

Awesome job to those who quit smoking. Black hacking lungs aside, I'm proud of ya!.

PK... you poor lady. Sucky news..

Bathing suit shopping does suck Connor, but just think of the fun you'll have..

Penny I hope you feel better..

Claire- Eating spaghetti squash while reading about maggots = not so awesome feeling..

Carolyn... I'm ever so glad you found TJ. Though the thought of you driving around taking months to find it made the evil in me giggle..

My brother vaselined my toilet this morning so when I went to go sit down... I slid completely off. Yeah, awesome huh? That's ok, saran wrap on his toilet is my fairplay tool tonight ..

Next to tell my parents i'm pregnant, and my April Fool's Day will be complete..

Gonna be high 90s today. April Fool's to us in Phoenix. Would've been nice to enjoy a spring..

Hellos to everyone else!..

, I feel your pain... Phoenix is really starting to heat up. By the time I get back, it's going to be smoking! (And so will I be... I hope..

Spaghetti squash is delicious, though, I must say, even when reading about bugs... I hope...

Pittie, sorry about the soggy mess that's been such a headache for you..

Carolyn, I just put the finishing touch on the earrings for you. Dang, I almost wanna keep 'em!.

My little one is so funny. She's a horrible liar which makes her a pretty unsuccessful prankster. She just came home from school and told me that she played a great prank on her class. First thing this morning she told them, "I'm gonna play a prank on you all," and they were all like, "yeah, sure, right..." because they know she's not the greatest prank-puller. So all day they were asking her, "Emma, when is your prank?" At the end of the day, she had the last laugh when she DIDN'T prank them after all, but yelled, "April Fools!" as she got on the bus! I love that girl!..

Hi fellow TL'ers! Guess I missed a lot this working 50 hours in 4 days. I got caught up on today but I doubt I'll catch up on the rest, we are a busy group!.

I'm either 5 or 10 pounds away from goal, depending on how I look, I may decide to lose the extra 5 pounds. We shall see. What scares me about T&M is work. Yes, I realize I need to plan, but 5 packets and a L&G works so perfectly for my weird, unpredictable hours. I'll start lurking on T&M boards for suggestions..

Be back later!.

I have to say I definitely do not love subbing Jr High art. I'll be glad when this day is over. Also thankful I didn't find any bugs in my CN soup @ lunch...

Hi Megg. Again, someone warn her about the hazing. I'm still finding Cheez-Whiz...just sayin'..

Ok, bye everyone! Hitting the road in our little Chevy Malibu with two hyper kids, a husband with a thrown-out back, and me, the worst traveler in the entire world. Should be awesome...

Ladies, can I say TIGF?? I'm having a HUNGRY Friday and have flexed my no muscle many times today. I decided to do a 4 & 2 day because I have dinner plans (I'm eating salmon and salad) with friends and cannot wait until tonight to have my L & G without obsessing about food. I'm hoping this is a signal that my body is going to woosh a pound or two off...
