First question I have is After you buy a domain from iPage.com, what does status : pending registration mean? Hoping for any answer or 2. Another question... Ok, how can I set up no right clicks.. or if they try to use the right click>properties, it will link them to a error page?.

Since ive went live and ppl seen the site, they are linking my pictures all over the net, andmy bandwith is killing me;;.

To save money, id rather them just put a link to the item, not the picture..

Any help???..

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can answer it..

Remember that only works if I have javascript enabled on my browser so it wont stop the bandwidth stealing if people really want to do it..

You will need to look into hiding the path to your images...

As far as I think I know "right-click-prevention" (stealing pcs) is not the solution to prevent "deeplinking" (linking to yr pics) to your pictures..

This seems to prevent "deeplinking" if that is what is causing your huge bandwith usage..

Put this in a *.txt file:.

AuthUserFile /dev/null.

AuthGroupFile /dev/null.

RewriteEngine On.

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.yourdomainname.tld  [NC].

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://yourdomainname.tld [NC].

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.yourdomainname.tld:80 [NC].

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://yourdomainname.tld:80 [NC].

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://12.34.56.78 [NC].

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://12.34.56.78:80 [NC].

RewriteRule /* http://www.yourdomainname.tld/ [R,L].

12.34.56.78 being your IP #.

Transfer file into the directory you want to protect..

Rename to .htaccess..

My host gives Hotlinks protection in cpanel so it mught be worth asking you host if they provide this service ...

Comment #4

My host doesnt have that...

But they did help me write a basic .htaccess page.

And using the internet, I was able to somewhat stop it.

But the problem is that you have to insert it in the .htaccess page...

Well it's all good but one thing....

Shipping confirmation.php is in the same main folder.. so it blocks all my buttons and logos on my iPage site from being viewed, as you go to check out...

It ok , till you go to check out...

Anyway you can get around this?..

I can link you to the site, to show you want I mean, if that is a must...

Aim:= mkteller8.

Yahoo:= kteller8..

If your htaccess is anything like the one posted above, then you will also probably need to add lines for port 443 in addition to port 80, as those images would be accessed using port 443 on those pages..

Basically just copy the three lines with port 80 on the end, paste them in, then change those to a 443. Also change the http to https on those 3 entries..

It's just an access list that only allows connections from your iPage site to that directory of images..

Be aware that many people who use firewalls with privacy protection software will send blank referrers, so they won't be able to view your iPage site at all.....

<!doctype html public "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">.

<html dir="LTR" lang="en">.

<head> <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> <!.

Var message="Sorry, Right Click is disabled. Bandwith cost money, help keep our cost low.\n\nContents & Graphics Copyright Kteller.com\nOur pictures should NOT be taken from this site."; // Message for the alert box.

// Don't edit below!.

Function click(e) {.

If (document.all) {.

If (event.button == 2) {.

Alert(message);.

Return false;.

}.

}.

If (document.layers) {.

If (e.which == 3) {.

Alert(message);.

Return false;.

}.

}.

}.

If (document.layers) {.

Document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);.

}.

Document.onmousedown=click;.

// > </script>.

I used that in the index file... to stop right clicks...

But I need to figure out how I can send all "direct links" to an error page:..
