First question I got is Any good cookie Medifast recipes for kids to make? Thanks in advance for any response. Second question.. Gosh..I.

Hope.

I can make this all make sense to everyone! first of all thank you from the bottom of my hear for all your concerns and prayers.. seriously could not have gone thru the past 4 months but for the grace of God! the prayers have lifted my up in my quiet world! I'm so glad to call you all friends and family...I think the words are one and the same. I have been so apprehensive and EMOTIONAL the past few days... I guess with not being able to hear.people, myself included, knew what to expect.nothing! and with the implant working...I was afraid people would expect me to hear...perfectly, like putting on glasses..you can see!! well with this implant it's not like that.. and there is no way to gage what you can expect to hear or understand..I was so pleasantly surprised and amazed at how well I could hear..the first sentence out of the audiologists mouth I could understand her! there is 12 channels in the implant and she had me hooked up to a computer and had to tell her when the sound was comfortable...it was not a big deal.usually I could tell when it was too loud and we would go down from there. so it was easy...

Same with the tv..closed captioning ... so it will take a lot of time to hear and recognize sounds and voices.. sometimes I think a person sounds like them selves and other times they dont..I prolly need to quit analyzing it and just listen! my incision is behind my ear and is healing well. I go back to the dr and the audiologist next week for one of many adustments...I will have to be patient about what I can expect to hear at this point.. she told me some things to do, websites to look at, watch tv, listen, turn off captioning, listen to.

Books.

And read along..just practicing.

Talking.

To people! so I'm pretty excited.. and my best friend kim is coming tomorrow from arkansas to stay 10 days.. that will be a big help...talk to her, and we have lots of fun stuff planned to do.. different things in different environments...even a bff car tripwith toni my other bff and sisrwe! so a day trip, lake trip, arboretum in dallas, trip to seemy daughter...so lots of different situations!! still not sure when I will be going back to work..its been great being off..ready to talk to dr roland next week to see when he will do the other one..for everyone that did not hear..the operation was a bit over $97,000.00! the implant was 85! thank you for insurance! .you cannot tell I have it on...so may be keeping my hair long for a bit!.

Its so awsome to hearmy families voice again..my mom, sisters, brother in laws, aunt and uncle maine ! cant wait to talk my daughter and it's been great hearingmy son, nephews..everyone.... you never realize what you have..till it's gone..so tell some one you love them... love and blessings to you all..debbie...this is prolly tmi for everyone. it's really an email I sent to everyone to let them know how I was doing..the thing is distressed about I guess was working so hard to have the sugery, have 3/4 of the weight gone and lose my hearing. just when things were looking up..but ya know what? with my.

Cochlear implant.

, losing the weight...its still a heck of a lot better than it was at 237 lbs!..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..
