First question I have is Any good Medifast recipes for using up green tomatoes? Many thanks for any comment. My other question... When I started this journey I was assured by the bariatric doctor's office staff that my insurance rarely takes more than 3 weeks to approve or disapprove.

Surgery.

For someone. Wednesday it will be four weeks. I can't plan my.

Surgery.

Date until after I get approval and I can't start my four week 800 calorie Medifast diet to shrink my liver until after I get approval. I have a very small window of time in which I can have the.

I am so frustrated..

I don't want to miss.

Next semester and my doctor will be on.

Vacation.

In January so I want to have my.

Surgery.

Between the 10th and 20th of December so I am really freaking out. I would love to have it on the 15th because that will be my half year birthday but I am still waiting. I have done everything I can now just the wait..

How long did it take any of you to get approval after all the paperwork and tests were complete?..

I had my nutrionist visit on a Thursday, dropped off all my documentation on Friday, and got the call on Wednesday! But I am dealing with an extremely organized (well-oiled) bariatric center team and my health insurance is with my employer who is part of the hospital so I think it all just runs smoother that way..

If your window is that narrow then I would call.. first the bariatric office (did they submit for you)? Then then insurance company. You'd hate to find out they were holding it up for some dumb reason and it was just a lack of.

Communication.

Don't hesitate to call you bariatric team. After 3 weeks of waiting, I called only to find out that my psychologist forgot to send in her sign off sheet, holding up the whole process. After that, it only took 10 days to get the insurance approval..

Everything works out for you. The waiting is the hardest part. Oh, and the.

, that kinda sucks, too...

Isn't the waiting just the hardest thing to do?.

Go ahead and make the calls that others on this post have suggested. Being your own best advocate is a very good thing. Better to check it out than be on pins and needles waiting..

Thinking of you,.

I have called several times to the Bariatric office and I have even called the insurance company. The insurance company said they didn't have the paperwork and I called the doctor's office back and they said they had talked to the insurance company a week ago and the nurse had it. I don't know. Thanks for the support...

Mine got approved in 3 days, but my friend whose paperwork was submitted on the same day as mine to the same company/plan that I'm on took about 3 weeks. It varies. Hang in there, it'll happen..

MY WELL OILED MACHINE, AND YES THEY ARE SUPER GREASED...A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE, STILL TOOK NEARLY A MONTH...REMEMBER YOUR BARIATRIC OFFICE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY...2 DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS...WAITING NEARLY DROVE ME CRAZY BUT NOW IS THE TIME TO BE WEANING YOURSELF DOWN TO BE PREPARED FOR YOUR 800 CALORIES, AND HOPEFULLY NOT GOING OFF THE DEEP END WITH EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN...STAY FOCUSED...IT WILL HELP MAKE THOSE FOUR WEEKS SO MUCH EASIER.....
