I am dieting presurgery AND I am diabetic AND I have been seeing a nutritionist (just finished 3 sessions and will go back after.

Surgery.

...so I went to the Balloon Fiesta here in Albuquerque, NM. The Medifast food is a big deal... I broke down and was just going to have "a little piece" I ate half of one and then...later split another with my husband ... Then we both go sick from the sugar ... Neither one of us has had the.

Surgery.

But we have been dieting... So we weren't used to the sugar. It was like getting an "instant" spanking...lol. So we are both back on our diets immediately... Nothing tastes as good as thin feels...especially since losing 20 pounds of fat...this is the first time my husband has had the energy to go with me to the balloon fiesta!..

Oh I forgot to say, it was a streusal cake with powdered sugar on it..

I was told by the surgeon that the important thing is when we slip, we get back on the diet. It is when we continue to slip and blow the Medifast diet that is when we are asking for problems. It was nice to hear the surgeon tell me he did not expect me to be perfect..

Pretzel M&M's are my weakness. I will thank God when they no longer make them.....lol..

I must confess, I too am a pill skipper. not too often, as I'm scared, but occasionally!.

I don't know if this is a true secret as I did tell my nut. I love cheddar cheese. I keep 3/4 ounce packets in my purse and they are my "go to food" when there is nothing that I can have. I know I should eat lower fat cheese, but I love the tillamoo medium cheddar....

I have a weakness for potato chips AND french fries!! So at work if anyone has potato chips on their desk, they know I have to have a few and I keep the children's lunch box sizes of Utz potato chips around. Its better than in the past when I opened a family size bag and ate the whole thing within a day or two!! Deb..

Coffee- they said it's a no no but there is no Fracking way I can go the rest of my life without it. Besides it's one of those no no's that is not a no no for everyone- so I gave myself a free pass. I also partake of canabis daily- helps with the shaky tummy & bonus I don't get the munchies anymore!! lol..

I confess I hoped this thread would be successful, but I am so impressed that everyone made it work..

You don't have to be perfect, you just have to do the best you can, and it will work! No guilt, blame or shame..

And an encouragemebt to the members who recently shared weight gain. Getting back to the basics will work for you again. Just do your best!..
