Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can help you..
I had that fixed along time ago. it just indexed my iPage site completely and just still getting that. google doesnt. msn, yahoo, alltheweb, altavista all do get session ids. it sucks. sid killer contribution doesnt work either...
I have the following entries in my spiders.txt file. Maybe you need one of them added to yours?.
I have these 3 for yahoo. still doesnt work?..
Btw, where hsould be the location of spiders.txt. it s now in includes folder. you think is hould move it soem where else. my robots.txt is in root folder though...
No, that's the proper place for it. You may want to try searching the net for spiders and yahoo. Maybe there is a new one that you need to add?.
I have slurp as spider in spider.txt. still doesnt work. rest of the search engines are fine. any idea why yahoo is getting session ids...
I have the same problem. I suspect it's because slurp has already gathered some of your pages before you modified your spider text. And may be returning with the same ID's. I have enterd "slurp" in my spider text and in some cases it appears to be working. These are probably new pages..
For what it's worth, I have sent an email Wed Aug 18 toHave yet to get a response..
