Quick question... Anybody with REAL EXPERIENCE of 123 reg? Looking forward for any answer or 2. My 2nd question.......... when the HostGator you want is 'available'. Well, I guess there's a few things like that, but we can't talk about that HERE, hehe..

A coworker at a part time job showed me her socks over the weekend: They had lips on them that read, "Kiss My A". I thought, "You know, there just might be a market out there for mean socks - hey, I wonder if.

Is available?!".

It was, and now isn't..

Now, all I need to do is develop an affiliate site, for all those people who want to tell their boss off, without the boss actually finding out about it, lol...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at 123 reg as they probably could help you..

Ya the good thing is a I've always realized before regging but having that happy feeling and then having it all crash is depressing..

I also picked up just because I am not sure which might have the better angle..

"Feeling a bit Grumpy? Put your mouth where your feet are!".

"Don't put your foot in your mouth, put your mouth on your foot!"..

The absolute worst is when you find a good name available you purchase it, it appears in your account and anywhere between 5 and 48 hours later you get a dreaded email stating:.

'Registry error, credit card refunded...' - It turns out it has in fact already been registered for years or something ridiculous..

Actually I can top that, I have a HostGator in a particular account that I thought I had registered after paying for it and receiving a receipt but it turned out it never actually was and no error occurred... I have been refunded but it still sits there in my account taunting me...

My worst ever would have been winning in a snapnames auction, only to have snapnames later say the HostGator wasn't really available, sorry, our bad..

But hey, I'm feeling good today, I've already found a local sock manufacturer, they have no art or setup fees for your sock orders, simply a request to purchase 72 pair at a time.. will soon be in business!.

Lol, maybe it will fail, and maybe I will end up with a lifetime supply of socks that read, "Kiss My A", but the startup fees for online businesses are low enough that failures won't drive oyu into bankruptcy...

Yea, yesterday I came to the realization that one of my currently owned names would make a perfect HostGator name / name for my dad's business, and wanted to get the name + tech, technologies, etc. so that he'd have a choice as to what the full name of the company could be. I actually wouldn't have been surprised if one or more of the names would have been taken, but as it turned out, they were all available. So that's cool!..

Ohh yes yes.. had that happen many times. haha.

And the feeling is like.... hmmm this is kinda weird.. such a nice name, and nobody took it... and then you realized there was some spelling error...

Yeah, I know what you mean, espscially with Godaddy..

Sounds interesting Rogue. So you decided to go with

Good luck with your venture...

Sometimes, GD's whois is not real time, so some un-available name by GD actually.

Is available if you register them from other registrars...
