First of all Anyone have some good Medifast recipes with peanut butter? Many thanks for any comment. Another question... I am three weeks out from GBS and I know I am supposed to drink (sip) 64 oz of water a day but I can't after about 24 oz I just can't drink any more it starts tasting horrible. Does anyone have any suggestions in how to make it taste better?..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you an answer..

It will take a while to get to the full 64 ounces... My doc said min 48 and I was alwas a big water drinker, but I am having a hard time reacing the goal some days. It does get easier though. I use sugar free crystal light or ice tea (I make my own using teabags, a little cheaper and I control the sweetness) good luck..

I couldn't drink plain water right after.

Either. I agree with vmac and sweetsal as far as crystal light and decaf iced tea are concerned. They also make some sugar free hawaiian punch and koolaid which a lot of people tolerate, they were a little sweet for me though. Don't forget that sugar free popsicles count toward your fluid intake also...

If I ever can get my 64 ounces again, I will just kiss the sky...pre-op I drank about a gallon a day...now I am struggling to make a quart...it will come, this I am sure of...the question is when...I seem to do a little better with a glass of skim milk, but do so miss all my water...what I would give for a big ol long drink....so not gonna happen..ugh...

I eat a lot of hearty soup with plenty of broth and that counts. Some drink tea, which I would, but it makes my colon...well never mind...lol..

SF popsicles count too, even though they're only about an ounce. Try Dreyers no sugar added, the orange is my favorite..

For the first couple months, I drank quite a bit of herbal tea. First thing in the morning, it kinda relaxed my stomach. I actually got to the point where I craved it...strange because I didn't like tea before the.

..

I'm 8-9 months out from.

Surgery.

Now and still drink my water at room temperature..

LOL Lucifer you are a hoot!! What would we do without you!.

I would suggest crystal light or the walmart great value brand. That is the only way I can get as much liquid as required..

Good luck!..

Thank you everyone for your suggestions I will definitely try the crystal light and sf popsicles. I love lemon in my water and Ice tea but my doctors said no until two months out...
