Question I have... Anyone out there ever lose weight with Nutrisystem? Hoping for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... This is my first post. I enjoy reading all the positive threads on this board..

I have been on Nutrisystem for one week and have lost 7lbs which is great! I haven't done the best job mixing in the required additional items to the Nutrisystem food. Not terrible but not quite all the items. I might miss a carb here or a dairy/protein there..

I am starting to feel more sluggish. I have some sleep issues as well so I'm pretty sure that is the main culprit. Should I be taking vitamins or other supplements? Is the sluggish feeling normal from the diet?.

Also, any way to take care of my salsa craving? I have eaten the Nutrisystem tacos and fajitas with adding a bit of salsa, but man that is my craving food at this point..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably know..

I have been on Nutrisystem for 2 weeks. I take a multi vitamin every day, have been for about 3 years now, I can really tell when I miss it.....

As for the Salsa, I use a little hot sauce on just about everything I eat (except oatmeal) It gives the food a little extra kick. I really like the habinero suace. It does not take much but really adds a bit of flavor. I also use a lot of black pepper. I never touch the salt shaker though. If you like salsa, maybe a touch of hot sauce will fill the bill...

Dan, 7 pounds in the first week, you're on track to lose 365 pounds in the year! The salsa thing is something that I fought too. Cowboy's cure is the one I used, Franks Red Hot fixes just about anything for me. Damon's salsa suggestion is right on. When you're buying make sure you look at the label, the calorie and SUGAR content of salsa vary. I found a salsa at Sam's Club that is awesome on the mashed taters, very garlicy though. If you look around the message boards you will find a lot of great recipes.

Yeah I remember that first week I was feeling really weak and everything. For me it was my blood sugar I think. I was at a 500 (Should of been in the hospital) and basically crashed the first week..

Because of this thread though I think I will look into a multivitamin...

Give it another week, and you'll probably start to feel the energy not only come back, but actually exceed what you had before. The sluggish is probably just your body saying "WTF?!?" and wondering if it needs to go into hibernation for awhile. Just keep eating, and your metabolism will get the picture eventually..

As for salsaI use a little "Herdez" salsa imported out of Mexico once in awhile and Louisiana Hot Sauce on everything else...

Always eat the add ins. They are there for a reason. You don't want too few calories either. There are no shortcuts...

True, but after many drinks I once hooked up with a vertically challenged girl and my then girlfriend called her something that sounded like short cut...

I never really had startup issues other than shock at the portion sizes. Talk about mind-bending! Don't do vitamins either. Anyway, only suggestion I have is to hit the gym. Hard. (Add some protein on days you do hit it hard)It will kick your butt, but the resulting energy boost and the synergistic affect with the Nutrisystem plan is amazing. I feel 20 years younger..

Welcome! Sluggish or not a multi-vit is a really good idea...
