Yes sir! however you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else to confirm my answer as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you give a call to the iPage guys because they can answer you better...
I really do not understand why people have a problem answering this issue. I am not the only person who has had this problem. And they also did not get any answers. To put it simple: When 1 clicks buy product it goes to shopping cart page and says your shopping cart is empty. So it is not adding the products to the shopping cart, and lord knows if the payment modules are working. I did this install from my Host providor via plesk if that helps.
I wish php was around when I was in 7th grade when my mind was great to hold on to memory. If anyone ever writes websites in BASIC I can help you. lol Anyhow, please could someone just help me with this. The quantity setting has nothing to do with it before you give me that answer, because I already tried quantities of 0-10 and it did not make a difference because the product still was not added to the cart. I am assuming it's something in the coding, not sure though...
I have this same exact problem and would love to see how this is fixed. My iPage website is:.
When you are there go to the blankets section and click on the ADD TO CART button for the first picture on the left in the first row. You will see what happens. I am in experimental mode so that is the only button you can click on for this. Thanks for your help in advance!!..
The best thing I can suggest is to see if your permissoins on your includes/english/checout_***.php files are all ok so that you hace wright permissions on them..
If they are check in the root directory of your shop for the permissions in there..
Remember if your add something to your cart it needs to put it into the database and if it cant..... well you cant!!.
Hope this helps dont know if it will?!?!?!?..
Could you pretty please look at my permissions and tell me if they are set right and if not, what I should set them to? Thanks!..
I did this to solve my problem with empty shopping cart.
Creat .htaccess in /shop or /osCommerce or /catalog dircetory.
Add this line.
Php_flag register_globals on..
Post your code for catalog/includes/modules/product_listing.php.
I'm pretty sure that's where the problem lies because I fixed it just a little while ago...
Ok all I have searched the posts and found people asking similiar questions but they are not getting answers. My iPage site is pretty much done you can view it at.
The problem I am having is when a person clicks buy now no item is added to cart. I installed the paypal module as well as the check/money order module. I entered the pay to information as well as my paypal email address as the module requested. I have no knowledge of php or coding. What I am asking is how can I fix this so the items are added to the shopping cart and when people check out they goto the payment screen regardless of the module used. Please explain this to me in laymans terms.
Also I wouldnt mind changing the look and feel of the iPage site so I can remove the oscommerce Copyright info, any suggestions on free themes would be appreciated also..
I am learning slowly, but at my age the learning process in itself is slower..
Oh yes 1 more thing. I even tried playing with the quantities and whether they were on 0 or 10 did not make a difference...
