Please discontinue reading Tough Love threads if they are going to cause you to become upset..

Medifast is a wonderful program with many different types of support and a fabulous community. We understand that everyone is an adult and this is not a "mean" group. For some of us, we thrive on this program if we have a place where we are held accountable, where we commit to the program 100% and where we have a place to chat with others who feel the same..

What we believe:.

1. Cheating on Medifast is NOT a strategy to get us out of our fat suits.

2. The only way for us to learn about our problems with food is to take the word "choice" out of the equation when it comes to Medifast. Our only "choice" is 5 packets and 1 weighed and measured lean and green a day.

3. We look to those who have been successful with this strategy to continuously remind us about why this way, for us, is the way to go.

4. We believe that, even though we are completely committed, knowing that we have a group that holds us accountable for our actions is both useful and important.

We commit to:.

1. Remove the word "choice" from our vocabularies.

2. Follow the Medifast plan as written, including transition and maintenance.

3. Tell our "inner brat" to shut the H-E-** up and quiet him or her through abstenance from off plan foods.

4. Give and receive tough love without complaining or calling each other "mean".

5. Cheerlead fellow group members as they follow the path to thinness.

6. Make Medifast the LAST diet we ever go on.

7. Check in with the group as often as our schedule reasonably allows.

8. Be honest with ourselves and our Medifast family and to stay 100% OP at all times. We also swear that WHEN (not if) we are having a tough time and feel like we may eat SLUDGE, to come to our Medifast family first and ask for support and help to get us through the struggle..

Ye, but... you might want to make sure and wait for another person here to confirm it as I am not confident. Better yet, why don't you call the Medifast guys because they can help better...

TGIF. Sam & I are both ready for the weekend!..

Rachel the coffee is great...

Nan me and my cats are ready for the weekend too just wish they would let me sleep past 5:30....

Tons of rain last night + flooded roads = No School.

Kids will be happy, I'm done I still have to go to work.

Guess it's time to put the news on and see whats happening.. Looks like I missed a lot over night.. We have a lot of customers in Japan, hope they are ok.

*Yawns* TGIF..

Morning all. Thanks for the coffee. Not bad for a non-coffee drinker..

Nan, I'm so ready too..

Sump pump watch was on as of 9pm last night. My river floweth. The pump is keeping up (yay) but my two neighbors across the street are reporting swimming pools under their houses. I bought a high capacity pump that uses a 2" hose. They went cheap and it shows. Although the one did install a second pump that's like mine. Both of her hoses are dumping water I see...

Good morning Rachel, Nan, Cindy & MT! Thanks for getting us up and running, Rachel! So far no flooding the basement, but certain roads are closed. YUCK! Hope everyone's doing well. I had a major NSV yesterday not eating wedding shower sludge. Even my boss who swore he would be true to his WW points ate some. Oh well. I passed my first real OP test yesterday!!!! And now I have a stupid cold.

When I first started Medifast 15 days ago my right knee was buckling. Like every half hour. I've noticed that it does it maybe once or twice a day now... huh. I'm thinking if I keep this up I could be mall walking again... that would be nice..

I don't "work" on Fridays, so today's pretty much a clean the house/dog/home office day... depending on how I feel..

Hi to everyone who comes in after me, I'll check back soon!.

Good Morning to all of you.

Thanks for coffee Rachel..

I hope you all stay dry!!!! My friends in Hawaii are under tsunami warnings too and the volcano is erupting, fun times..

Eric heads out today, so we're going to finish up laundry and packing. I'm letting the youngest stay home from school , my oldest has a band field trip or he'd be home too..

May I say that just in the 9 days my dh as been home I've lost 4 lbs. It's been harder to resist the sludge while he's been here, not b/c of him just b/c of the upset to my routine I think. I did resist it though..

Hope you all have a great weekend if I don't get back here today..

Good job Anna! Tough times require us to be even tougher - you did great, I'm really proud of you!!!!!.

Anna & Melissa great job in resisting the sludge.

I've declared today a no day!!! It started with NO SCHOOL.. No goes hand in hand with tough love!!!!.

Off to shower and get ready for work...

Morning, all. Thanks for the coffee...even after all this time, not bad..

All caught up from yesterday and time to go to werk. We got SNOW - YUCK! Will it never end? The calendar says spring in March, but it rarely is. We used to say "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb." I remember it coming in like a lamb some years and going out like a lion. This year, the lion seems to be roaring with no signs of hibernation - oh, lions don't hibernate, do they?.

Have a great day everyone! I'm hoping to stay tuned from werk, but that hasn't been happening lately. But to continue yesterdays Thankfulness, I'm thankful I have a job that I love, even if it means I can't keep up with you guys during the day. And DH is thankful I have a job that 'keeps him in the style to which he's become accustomed' - his words..

Good morning, ladies, and happy Friday! Thanks for the coffee, Rachel and Nan, Sam has the right idea! What a sweetie! My cat Gary is also lounging, tucked down into the dip between the couch cushions looking like a Pillow Pet!.

Anna, congratulations on losing during Eric's stay! And Melissa, good girl resisting the nastiness! Why do we equate happy occasions with the most unhealthy food? Whenever I have to order food for an event at work or at home, I always make sure I have fresh veggies and/or fruit. Lowfat meats, pickles, olives. Someday they'll thank me..

Horrible things happening in Japan and waiting to see how Hawaii fares. I think it may lose momentum by the time it hits our west coast, but you can never tell..

We are heading to CT tomorrow afternoon for an overnight, going to see hubby's friend's band. It will be the first time OP going to this BBQ place. They do have plenty of OP choices, so I should be fine..

Off to shower and get my day under way. So glad to be planning on wearing jeans today! I have a few pairs to try on this morning, and I will report back from the office...

Good morning Penny! I hear you on the healthy offerings, unfortunately this time I was rather limited because I could only work with donations and I wanted to put most of the $ into a gift card at the store he has his registry, so sludge is was... When I do other work events and I'm using their money I always do healthy options. More because a lot of people in my office are on WW. They have someone come in once a week to meet with them. So yeah, I try and do the right thing for them..

I'm thinking I may break down today and tell dd I'm doing MF. She's probably already on to me, so fessing up would be good. We had both started off on WW in January - I switched to Medifast 2 weeks ago. But my dd stayed on WW and last week she gained three pounds. She loves to go out to dinner with her boyfriend, where she's off and running. I've tried to talk to her about healthy options while dining out, but I can't control her - all I can do is be a good example!.

Morning all!.

One of my good friends lives in Maui and is currently evacuated to the top of a hill. She lives across the street from the beach. Hopefully, the tsunami dies down before it reaches there and here too! My heart goes out to all the people in Japan..

Anna- When does your DH come home for good? Congrats on doing so well while he's been home!.

I've worked out 3 days already this week! Woohoo for me! Two of them have been for only 20 mins, but hey it was a workout. Plus I have softball tonight and tomorrow..

I received my pink-slip yesterday via certified mail... there's something wrong with that... 900 pink-slips costing $6.40 each to send via certified mail. So I posted that I received it and that I was going to the gym to work off frustrations on FB. Some of my FB friends are parents of children that I've taught over the last 9 years and whom I've gotten to be close friends with. While I was gone, I received many comments of support and shock from my friends.

Anywhooo, happy Friday! Have a great OP day! Don't forget to drink!..

Knitty he lives (sort of) in California and we live in NC. We will be moving to California when the school year is over. (so late June).

I am so sorry about your pink slip, how awful..

Good for you for going to the gym instead of the sludge...

Knitty, so sorry about what's happening to all the teachers. Makes you wonder how the kids will make out. Well, it makes.

Wonder. There are evidently others who could care less..

Well, a couple pairs of jeans didn't fit, but I'm thrilled for those that did! And also thrilled that this cute fitted jean jacket I have fits again! So picture this - a long black tank top over black/blue jeans with a short, fitted jean jacket, buttoned at the bottom and open at the top. I. Am. Stylin'. I went downstairs to see a coworker to whom I was delivering some jewelry and she yelled out, "Look at you, you look so skinny!" Tee hee hee.....

Hi Everyone. May I post with you guys? I love the concept....100% on-plan. Sounds like a great idea to me! Today is op day #1 for me. I've never been on Medifast before, but I'm quite excited to get this weight under control! I've never lost more than 30 pounds on any diet before throwing in the towel. This time, I determined to make this journey very different. I'm also at my highest weight ever and starting to feel the impact on my body..

I'm really looking forward to getting to know each of you and building a great support group...not to mention, building a great group of friends! I'll be starting a daily blog this evening and taking my pics and measurements...

Good morning everyone..

I share in all the sentiments posted about Japan, I turned on the tv this morning and couldn't believe what I was seeing. I get emotional about these sorts of things because I empathize so much and there's nothing I can do to ease any of the pain..

I'm off work today. It was supposed to be a lazy day, but I'm a spaz, so I've already scheduled basically every hour of the day. Overscheduled. I'm just happy to have a day off work that isn't a sick day for a change. I've already made multiple trays of dehydrated veggies as treats for the dog. And I'm baking sludge later because I'd rather DSO eat junk food I know the ingredients of than junk food whose ingredients I can't pronounce..

Nan- I have an orange desk cat too, he heard today was tax day so he's geared up and ready to roll on everything I try to read..

MT - glad your basement survived, as of right now, mine has too, but the yard looks like the Everglades..

Melissa - great NSV on the knee. I'll be cleaning a dog today too..

Anna - I'm impressed!.

Knitty- I've been really wowed by your ability to stay so focused while having a major upheaval in your life..

Penny- I can't wait til my cute stuff starts fitting again! Congrats..

Everyone I missed or will miss, happy Friday!..

Morning and Happy Friday!.

I am home with a major headache and unstable stomach. Figured there's not much going on at work that I couldn't do from home..

Girliegirl - Welcome. TL isn't a concept, it's how we roll. Sticking to plan 100% is the best way to get to goal quickly, so if that's what you're interested in then you've come to the right place!.

Anna - Well, at least he's within visiting range now and not over seas. Summer is coming and soon you will be together all the time!.

Haven't turned on the news so I have no idea what's going on. Guess I'd better check it out..

No shout out's right now. bbl...

Morning TLers.

Turned on the news this morning to tsunami warnings. Thoughts and prayers to those in Japan and Hawaii. I don't think the tsunami will be a real problem here in So. Cal. News said maybe 3 foot waves down here..

I don't work on Friday's, so, it's usually a fun day for me. But today I am trying to get all my weekend chores done (laundry, housework, shopping). We are planting trees in our back yard this weekend and I am sure I will need all my energy for that. We already have 8 large trees in the backyard waiting to be planted. Should be fun digging holes, hauling trees, etc.... LOL.

So, our adventure begins..

I hope you all have a great OP day...

Rachel... good morning... thanks for putting the coffee on!.

Nan... Sam looks so cute!.

Cindy.. I hope everyone stays safe... I'm sure the kids are thrilled..

MT... here's hoping you stay high and dry!.

Melissa... good job staying OP! It will pay off in the end!.

Anna... good job staying OP with the change in schedule/household upheaval. Times of stress make it so easy to give up, but you stayed the path!.

Jan... LOL... my husband feels the same way about my job. He hates weekends when I'm gone/sleeping all the time, but he definitely likes the payoff!..

It hit post before I was ready! Whoops!!.

Penny, have fun at the concert!.

Knitty, that sucks. I'm so sorry..

Welcome, Rhonda!.

Zoe, I'm with you. I may have to turn the TV off soon... I can't even imagine. It's the sort of footage you hope is just a bad movie... but it isn't..

Morning, Mia!.

De, I hope you feel better soon!.

Okay, still no wooosh... guess I'll have to wait until TOM is totally over for that... the scale is stubbornly holding in spot. However, that is still down 2 lbs from last Friday (the day I put my weight into my Bodybugg) and I'm down 3.5 inches in my chest (measured up over the top like a dressmaker), 1.5 inches in my waist, and 1.25 inches in my hips, 1 inch in my thighs and 1/4 inch in my calves from last Friday! That's a lot of inches lost!.

Which also means that (according to my Bodybugg), my percent body fat has gone from 35.7% when I started using it to 31.8%.... and total pounds of body fat has gone from 73.03 to 62.52 (with this weeks drop going from 68.51 to 62.52... that's a loss of nearly 6 pounds of FAT (and a gain of nearly 4 pounds of muscle)..

Now, I can't POSSIBLY complain about that!!!! Yay!..

Good morning all!.

Had a great NSV last night. A PB and J sandwich was calling my name. It was really hard and I was mad that I could not have it but I didnt. I hadnt eaten any of my condiments yeaterday so I had a little taste of PB2, drank some tea and I was good. I would have totally given in in the past. Today I feel so good that I stayed OP..

I just want to say how impressed I am with that. There are so many people on Medifast who would have completely gone the other way with a pile of excuses about how they "couldn't" stay on plan while he was home, and on Connection there would have been twenty people saying "of course not, the important thing is not to beat yourself up about it"..

You stayed on plan regardless, you showed yourself again that you can do this, and in the long run that's a lot more important than the 4 lbs. Great job...

Morning all!.

I've trained the dogs to get the paper, so here I sit with 2 devoted dogs at my feet, my paper, and my coffee. Boss is letting me show up a few hours late for work so I have a lovely relaxing morning ahead of me..

I ditto Ella's shout outs, I'm too lazy this morning to do my own..

Steph... how was the hockey game? Coyotes or Roadrunners?..

Say it with me. SLUDGE..

Glad you were strong!..

I love it nan! That picture is exactly how I felt yesterday... and today...

Penny is right. We don't name foods in here. For some of us, what you said was a craving trigger. We replace all food items names with the word SLUDGE...

LOLCat Friday!.

I gotta get it out of my system because I've been asked to go and cover for a coworker for an hour or so and I won't have access!!!..

Sam thanks everyone for the nice complements! Penny those are some mighty cute kittys there you have, too. All you SoCA people what is going on with the tsunami? My youngest son lives right on the beach in Huntington Beach and he won't answer his phone! Mom's getting worried here! He's just a little boy of 30!..

Morning all! Today is a sunny day and I'm thrilled to only have one hour of class and then the rest of the day off. I got a new Medifast shipment last night and I've been looking at all of my new stuff and making up baggies for each day for the next two weeks. I'm like a 6-year-old with a whole box of brand new Barbies! Lol. Anyway, I have been trying to think of how I want to add activity into my program and I think I'm just going to start with the Medifast 12-week walking program. It seems easy enough that I won't get overwhelmed and quit, which is usually my problem..

There is so much inspiration on this board that I can hardly stand it! Congrats to all of those with victories, scale and otherwise. You rock!.

Today will probably be a pretty lazy day, but I'm working on a "storage" system for all of my Medifast foods. We'll see what I come up with. And I REALLY need to go to the store. I'm all out of egg beaters. NOT ok..

I was hoping to do measurments today, but I started with my arm and I measured it 3 times because it was almost 2 inches larger than what I had written as my original! Then I remembered that I got a dose of allergy shots yesterday (they go in the back of your upper arm) and the whole back of my arm is very swollen. Whoops! Guess I'll wait for that until Sunday.....

Knittya pink slip via the MAIL??!! How hateful! I love your spirit, though. Inspiring when someone on the team keeps a stiff upper lip during troubles!..

Welcome GirlyGirl! Welcome to the wonderful world of MF!! This group will help you all they can with all their heart, I assure you!..

I've seen some folks with an over the door shoe organizer holding all their packets. I know some tough lovers have some good storage solutions. But the shoe thing is a great way to do it. I only wish I could but I don't have a pantry and my dog would eat it all if I hung it over any of the other doors in the house! So mine is all crammed into a cabinet...

GOOD MORNING ALL!! I was so busy yesterday with work and dr. apt that I didn't get a chance to check in..

Yesterday was a major WOW day! Went for my monthly check up with the Dr. who is overseing my weightloss program. I am so happy! lost total of 38.5 lbs (two months exactly yesterday) The first month just over 50% of what I lost was fat...this past month was 92% fat!!!! I lost 4 INCHES from my waist alone last month!.

My goal is to lose another 60 lbs. He feels that I should rethink my goal. He feels that another 30 lbs might be more appropriate for my body structure. I don't know about that. Accourding to the charts I would still be "over weight" so I will lose the 30 and then go from there..

I had a couple NSV's too!.

#1...I bought a cheap pair of cotton pants at walmart off the clearance rack (size 16). and since they were so cheap and I know that I will lose more I grabbed a size 14 too. When I got home I HAD to try on the 14's just to see how far I needed to go & THEY FIT!!! I started two months ago in 22's! It is just so amazing! When I went down stairs to ask my husband if they looked to tight he said "you look good, Real good!" he just kept saying how good I looked. The last time he was that excited about how good something was was when he ordered some really fancy SLUDGE dessert at a restraunt a while ago!.

#2...My jeans are having a hard time staying up so I went to find the only belt I own as I have never had a need for one before (they came with a pair of pant that I bought that I never wore as it was too tight) The NSV....There were no holes tight enough for me to use the belt this morning!.

#3...My daughter is in a career class at school and her teacher asked if I would come in and talk to the kids about my job and what I look for when I hire people. So I went and my daughter came home after school and told he that one of the guys in her class said that her mom was hot...LOL!! so funny I know he is just a kid but my daughter started singing that "Stacies mom has got it going on" song to me just exchanging her name for Stacies..

It made me feel good!.

Any way the moral of the story...Not every day is gonna be a WOW day, but when they do happen, just smile and say WOW! today my happiness is radiant!..

Jess if you look on mypage I have a pic of my over the door shoe holder with my Medifast foods, I just have to store my puffs in the pantry...

Nan - Been watching the news and so far there's been nothing in CA. The HB area is only planning on 3-4 foot swells, so I really think you don't have anything to worry about. He may have been evacuated if he's right on the beach, but if he's elevated at all he should be good...

I loved seeing this today! I started Medifast over a year ago and my starting weight was 254. I hit my goal of 170 in October and have kept it off since then. So I want to encourage you to keep it up! I ran into a plateau at 200 lbs and at 180 lbs. But I perservered. I loved reading about your day as it's those kinds of days that help you stay OP. I've had a lot of those days during my journey, as a matter of fact just last week my nextdoor neighbor (who happens to be a Baptist preacher) mentioned that his son saw my hubby at the movies. And I said "Oh, yeah, I remember seeing him and his new wife", to which the preacher just said "WHEW!" I didn't understand until he told me his son thought my hubby had a new girlfriend and thought that we needed to be lifted up in prayer!! Yeah, his new girlfriend is his old wife with a new body!!..

Loving the cat pics.

It's great to hear eveyone's NSVs! I had an emotional roller coaster week. Wednesday I was on a high from The Boy (actually, The Man-he's a grown up, not a 30 something living in his mama's basement), a fun weekend planned, a 3 pounds loss, and just general happiness. Then Wednesday night got a really irritating email from a really irritating person, which deflated me on Thursday. All I wanted to do was eat SLUDGE. Instead I came onto this board. Yay! Irritating emotions have passed thanks to you all..

Happy Friday!..

Sass... that's what we're here for. I'll kickbox any annoying people you want right in the head, 'kay? LOL..

So sorry, Knitty, about your pink slip..

I feel so heartbroken for Japan, I don't know even what to say; possibly whatever I did say would be nullified by that goofy kitteh above..

LOLCATS for President! Have a good Friday, everyone. My Medifast gets here Tuesday, my restart day is Wednesday. I'm sticking with you guys, because I can tell shtuff gets DONE around here...

Ooops, scratch that, I have enough left over to start on Sunday. BOOYAH!..

Thanks Ella! I'll be posting a list of people for you to kickbox in the head >:-)..

As predicted, I went to bed for several hours after I started the thread this morning! So I just finished my breakfastchocolate chip pancake in a cupdrizzled with a tablespoon of WF syrup, which I just received yesterday and had never tried before..

It does have that chemical Splenda taste in it that I notice sometimes, but I haven't had anything with sucralose in it for a while and I bet I'll get past it again, just like I have before. Otherwise, what a treat!..

Jeannette Love the Cat! Cats DO rule the world! Or at least the internet..

Sassy Way to rock the plan, stay strong, and not let external aggrivations knock you off your program!.

Rachel What do you do only sleep like 4 hrs a day or something?? Also I think WF syrup is good in vanilla shakes, too..

Heh. On my work days I'm happy with 4, yes, but right now I'm on vacation and am getting at LEAST 8! I went to sleep in the 3 o'clock hour and got up for real around 11!.

I don't invite the shakes into my house anymore...

Thank you SO MUCH for this, De. This is the clearest and most precise information I have been able to find this morning! He's probably still asleep and that's why he doesn't answer the phone (he's a single guy living the fast life on the beach)..

Mainly because it was all I could do to finish off the ones I had when my first order was a variety pack, and I don't see any need to torture myself by buying more of a product that I find unpalatable when there are so many other options that I CAN swallow without wanting to gag.....

Anna love the new avi!!!.

I made it back in one piece from covering for the coworker! I'm just about ready to call it a week. My work here is done. I can take off my cape..

I talked to my girly who had half a day today. She's home with Daddy playing Wii until I decide I've had enough beads and wire in the hobby shop to come home..

I have a beef roast and a tray of chicken breasts in my fridge and I'm going away for the weekend early tomorrow. So my plan is this - I am going to cook the whole tray of chicken tonight and do something with it for dinner. Then I will cook the beef roast in the crockpot overnight and pop it in the fridge in the morning for Sunday when we come home. I don't want to freeze either of them..

While I was downstairs covering for my coworker, I was able to sketch up some great new ideas for... well, you know. Jewelry...

Hi guys! I'm in and out today. I have filed all my paperwork from my catchall bin, filed both federal and state taxes, dumped cat litter, washed dog laundry, and now I'm going for a walk in the woods with the shedding, barking, ridiculous dog. I'm hoping to trade in some ugly gold for pretty money today or tomorrow too..

Kerrigan, I'm up long hours as well, so I sometimes get hungrier than I should. And we had the exact same breakfast. It was delicious. I'm also getting past the fake sugar taste...

Still no answer from the son out in CA. The last time there was a natural disaster out thereflooding, I believeI finally heard from him 2 days later by email "On the roof. Send money" was all it said...

I had some errands to run. Hubs told me that Northern CA got some waves 7-8 ft, but SO CA only got the anticipated 3-4 ft swells. I'm sure your son is fine. If I'm not mistaken on my HB geography, there are no houses/apts. directly on the beach there, but are across PCH and at an elevation above sea level. I doubt he even got his toes wet...

My friends in SO Cal are in San Diego but it was low tide when the swells came in and they said it didn't even get to where High Tide does..

Just dropped off my dh at the airport, his flight is already delayed. As long as it doesn't get further delayed he'll make his connection to Seattle..

I love the shakes but they don't like me. I can only do the ready to drink ones b/c they don't have lactose...

I'm sure you're right. He lives on 21st St about 4 blocks North of PCH. Thank you again. I'm not kidding that your info is the best and most concise I have been able to find. Thanks to your husband, too.

Anna I love your new pic! What a handsome husband you have!..

I've been keeping pretty close watch. I have a brother who lives north of PCH on Werner and my mom live in Seal Beach. Basically grew up on the beach in HB,.

I think the worst is over now. He was probably hanging out on the cliffs above the beach watching the action. Kids have no clue how much their families worry!..

Thanks again, De. I just heard from him and he echoed what you said almost verbatum"my feet aren't even you know how high above sea level we are here?everyone's just hanging out partying here" kids. It was ironic how he said almost everything you did about the situation..

So you are from HB? I was there just once last October and thought it was absolutely the prettiest place I have ever seen...

Ella- Coyotes beat the Flames! It was a fabulous game. The Roadrunners left town last year I believe it was. I desperately need the 'Yotes to stay to get my hockey fix. This Detroit girl lives for hockey.

I shouldn't be shocked but here goes: We have advertised for A MONTH! 30 Days! that the library would be closed for renovation. So our doors are shut, with a sign that says CLOSED FOR RENOVATION. You can see inside (windows for walls) and see there is nothing in the library. Sure enough, we've had people come in the door the workers are using and ask if we are open. hello??? THERE ARE NO BOOKS ANYWHERE. There are no computers.

Ok. had to get that out..

Bonus.... very very cute workers. And one flirty librarian...

I'm from Buena Park, which is about 20 miles inland, 1/4 mile from Knott's Berry Farm. But I lived at HB. As soon as I was old enough to take a bus, groups of us would go out just about every day during the summer. I am the ultimate CA Beach bum! I love that my mom moved to Seal Beach. That is one of my all time favorite places...

Hi everyone. Melissa with a cold here. I just wanted to stop by and say hello before taking a nap for a while. De - how are you feeling???.

Hi Ella - great job on the loss of inches!.

Welcome Rhonda!!!!.

Jeanette - the cute, it hurts my head!!!! :-).

Kd - enjoy those wonderful NSVs - worth every wow you can fit in!.

Megan, SO glad you resisted your red flag sludge. I have zip of it in the house - won't allow it in..

Hi Penny & Jan and everyone I missed - head's all stuffed up. Going down for the count - but 100% OP. Got fresh trout for tonight - can't wait..

Love to all,.

Melissa - Headache is still hanging on, but not as bad as it was earlier. Not sure what was going on with the stomach, but that seems to be over. Thanks for asking. Fresh Trout! YUM!!!!..

Let's say I'm exhausted and whiney and want to call my SO and ask for takeout. What's a good OP choice? There are a lot of restaurants on the way home...

I love fresh trout. When I was in New Zealand, they had it on the menu. I ordered. The waiter asked me for my fish. I just looked at him and said, I would like the trout please. And he said, I need your trout please.

I wasn't sure what he wanted, afterall, we were both speaking the same language. He finally explained that they will prepare your trout for you, but they don't have any. BYOT.....bring your own trout! Needless to say, I didn't get the trout...

So what do you have in your pantry/refrigerator? I'm sure I can help you with a quick and easy on plan dinner!..

Knitty, where are you? We are probably going to see teacher cuts in PA too. I am hoping my over 20 years are enough. But 9 years...that's a deep cut. What frustrates me is that they cut by seniority, not performance. I get really upset when good teachers get a pink slip and bad ones don't..

I'll be thinking about you!..

Thanks, I really appreciate the offer. I'm actually pretty good at quick and easy dinners, but I just saw the sparkles of an impending migraine, which I was really hoping was just a headache..

I ended up using Chipotle's nutrition calculator to make a simple salad, lettuce and meat that I'll dress at home. I just have a feeling I'm going to be cowering in the dark in a few minutes. Stupid migraines...

Hi Rhonda! Welcome to the Tough Love group. I also was determined to make this journey different. I know you can do this!..

I'll hope that a dark room and some time to close your eyes will help!..

KD....great NSVs. I live through all of this groups NSVs. They are fewer and farther between at this stage...

Friday.....Tough Love with the Scale Day for Fuzzy.....below goal.....weight constant. Loving MF!..

Zoe - I see your migraine and raise you a sinus infection! hehe..

Can I say how much I adore my kid? We were going to take CC to the Ren Fest tomorrow, but turns out she is going to her other Grandma's tonight. So I thought I would still get tickets for my boy to take his GF. Didn't want to be a 3rd wheel or wander by myself..

They have INSISTED that I go with them and hang out. How many parents have an 18 YO that will let his mom hang out with him and his GF?..

De.....that means you are a cool mom! Also an NSV!..

Hi all - quick check-in before I'm off to our usual Friday night dinner (OP) with friends..

Congrats to all the losers and maintainers. We're all winners!.

No chopped tofu - just {{{hugs all around}}..

Hope you all have a great night!! My dh was able to sprint to his connecting flight (his first flight left 90 minutes late). Hopefully his bags (with his uniform!) also make it!.

My son's band got Superior ratings at competition today so that was awesome too...

Oh Fuzzy, too, too funny!!! I've never been to New Zealand, but it's one place I'd really love to go to. So happy you're maintaining so beautifully! If you can, then someday I can....

Wishing everyone a good night - I'm off to bed, hopefully get this stupid cold out of me..

Zoe... I get migraines too, so I totally empathize... I hope you feel better soon!.

Anna... congrats on the Superior rating. How long until you get the whole family moved to the same spot again?.

De, have fun! (And yes, that speaks volumes!!).

Realized I had gone to my night schedule early because I didn't sleep well last night and re-weighed this evening when I got up... and my 2 lb loss for the week (it's still Friday so I'm counting it official) is actually a 3.8 lb loss!!! Yay!!..

Zoe- Ooooh! I feel your pain. I have gotten migraines since I was 14. No good. Feel better soon!!!.

Cali- SO happy you got some quality time with DH and the family. At least you have learned to savour each moment together.

Went to WallyWorld tonight and all of my Medifast food is now happily peeking out fromt its' new shoe organizer. I've heard of a lot of people on the boards doing this, but for some reason I was determined to make my own or something. So glad I just bought this. Works perfectly! (I even hung a second one on the inside of the same door for my "quarantined" foods, hehe.).

Ella- You really ARE shrinking! Congrats! I hope to keep my numbers going like yours..

De- Teenagers are snarky, you are snarky. I totally see why your DS would want you around!.

On the other hand, you're still his mom, so it's pretty awesome that he wants you to be with him (and in PUBLIC, with his GIRLFRIEND no less!)..

Steph- I used to work in a library when I was in HS. It was in a good area, but they just seem to attract strange people for some reason. One summer we had built a totally new building and had to walk everything the 50 ft to the new building. The whole place was swarming with workers and I was talking to my friend while we were working. We kept going "What? I can't hear you." It was about halfway through the workday when we realized we were still whispering....

Sassy- You're so great! I love reading about your dating exploits. I can totally relate! Though I've cut it off for a bit while I'm on MF. I just don't feel that sexy yet..

Aaaand I think that's about it! Went to the store to get more egg beaters (and TP...). I need to quit buying SF syrups, though. I have 7 on my kitchen counter and I don't really use them, like not even once a day. Oh well. Kind of fun to have I guess, and may help to change things up as I go along..

Oh! One quick funny before I sign off! I was getting TP and (per usual) standing in the aisle staring at the 50 different kinds and had no idea what I wanted. Then I went, "You know what? I'm going to splurge!" and I got the nice, strong, fluffy stuff that costs a bit more. I just started laughing right in the middle of the aisle. A month ago, if you'd have told me my biggest slpurge nowadays would be on TP, I would've been very depressed about starting MF!..

Thanks jsang! I totally understand what you're talking about. People kept telling me to get out there (when I was bigger) but I didn't want to because I didn't have the 'sassy' in my 'sassyhope.' Now that I do men are nervous around ME instead of the other way around. I'm actually having fun rather than stressing out. Don't wait forever to get out there-just wait until you're feeling a little sassy, even if that's just a few pounds from now.

I totally hear ya on the SF syrups. I bought two last August to put in my shakes and puddings and they have sat there since then. I've learned to enjoy the Medifast as is, though putting coconut syrup in my chocolate pudding will be nice once the weather gets warmer. I'm all about the oatmeal, chili, and chicken noodle soup right now. Frickin cold NW weather...
