I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could answer your iPage question..

Hi Steve,.

Is this the file and code that I have to change?.

Create_account_success.php.

<title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title>.

<base href="<?php echo (($request_type == 'SSL') ? HTTPS_SERVER : HTTP_SERVER)DIR_WS_CATALOG; ?>">.

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="stylesheet.css">.

</head>.

<body marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" topmargin="0" bottommargin="0" leftmargin="0" rightmargin="0">.

<! header //>.

<?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES'header.php'); ?>.

<! header_eof //>.

If not where can I find it?..

Comment #2

Ok, I am lost!.

From File Manager>www> .. includes is there but catalog is in there and no "configure.php".

If I use Admin, I wont be able to change anything...

Comment #3

I think I find it;.

// Define the webserver and path parameters.

// * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical).

// * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL).

Define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.gourmetcollections.com'); // eg,.

- should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('HTTPS_SERVER',.

'https://www.bagic.com.

Define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.gourmetcollections.com');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/~.

/');.

Define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');.

Define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES'icons/');.

Define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/');.

Define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES'boxes/');.

Define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES'functions/');.

Is this the part I have to change?..

Comment #4

Ok, I did it but on top of my index page I get.

:Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /home/gourmetc/public_html/includes/configure.php:59) in /home/gourmetc/public_html/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 67.

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/gourmetc/public_html/includes/configure.php:59) in /home/gourmetc/public_html/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 67".

Now what?.

Anybody?..

Comment #5

The headers already sent error can be corrected by reading this.

Http://www.oscommerc...mon_Problems/15.

If you still get a page not found error when clicking checkout then you need to confirm the settings with your host and reflect those settings in the configure.php..

Comment #6

Hi Sparky,.

I tried everything and it did not work..

I did not have this problem ( heading) before and I've changed everything back to the way it was. STILL NOT WORKING!.

Does anyone know?..

Comment #11

You used the file manager to edit the files. It is broken and corrupts files. I delete file_manager.php from my stores....

I tried your store, and though I didn't try a full checkout, it all looked ok to me...

Comment #12

Hi Steve,.

Thanks for checking my site. I wish you did place an order so you could see the problem..

Orders are not proccesed online and you could choose the option of paying by check..

I don't understand the part about corrupted files. How can I fix that?.

Thanks a Million..

Please plain English!!!..

Comment #13

You sent me an e-mail but my reply to your "cs" address bounced.....

I can see the same symptom when I try to log in again - the login works but I am taken to an invalid page. I see the same thing on the checkout. The symptom is that of an HTTPS_SERVER and DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG define set that is incorrect. However, the error I usually see is not reflected in the excerpt you posted above. I have to wonder if perhaps the copy on your web iPage site is different?.

The usual error I see that causes this symptom is to put the ~username on the SERVER line instead of the CATALOG line..

Ignore for now my comment on corrupted files. Just don't use the File Manager again...

Comment #14

This was a strange one.....

In includes/functions/general.php is the following function:.

// Redirect to another page or site.

 function tep_redirect($url) {.

   if ( (ENABLE_SSL == true) && (getenv('HTTPS') == 'on') ) { // We are loading an SSL page.

     if (substr($url, 0, strlen(HTTP_SERVER)) == HTTP_SERVER) { // NONSSL url.

       $url = HTTPS_SERVERsubstr($url, strlen(HTTP_SERVER)); // Change it to SSL.

     }.

   }.

   header('Location: '$url);.

   tep_exit();.

 }.

This is what causes a page redirect when you submit a form. The problem is the "if" code at the beginning. The comment says "We are loading an SSL page", but what it actually looks at is if you're CURRENTLY on an SSL page. If so, and if the URL being redirected to starts with your HTTP_SERVER URL prefix, it just replaces it with the HTTPS_SERVER prefix, not adjustintg the DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG. This means that you'll get your HTTPS hostname in there but NOT your ~username prefix..

Commenting out the "if" code fixes the problem. But it seems to me that the code as written would break EVERY osC iPage site that uses shared SSL where DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG was not the same as DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG. Furthermore, the code doesn't do what the comment says and I can see no earthly reason for doing either one! I think I will see if there's a development section I can ask about this in...

Comment #15

Ok, looks as if others have hit this before..

Here.

Is one report..

Here.

Is a bug report, with a remark that there is a "more complex fix" in the works. The latest CVS sources don't have such a fix, though..

Apparently the reason for the code is that some browsers throw up a little warning if one starts to load a secure page which then redirects to a non-secure page. I think I've seen that, but never paid any attention to it. If this is a problem, you can work around it by adding a third parameter of 'SSL' to the tep_href_link call (and remove the bogus code in tep_redirect.).

One possible fix is to also replace the DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG string with DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG...

Comment #17

The usual cause for this is incorrect defines for HTTP(S)_SERVER and DIR_WS_HTTP(S)CATALOG in configure.php. The _SERVER lines should consist of the http or https prefix, colon, two slashes, and then JUST a hostname. No ~username, folder name, or anything else. It should also not end in a slash. The other stuff goes in the DIR_WS_HTTP(S)_CATALOG define. Examples:.

Wrong:.

Define('HTTPS_SERVER','https://secure.example.com/~username');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG','/catalog/');.

Right:.

Define('HTTPS_SERVER','https://secure.example.com');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG','/~username/catalog/');..
