Quick question... Can a 12 year old go on Nutrisystem with a doctors note? Hoping for any comment. Another quick question... Time to fess up..

I started back in July 2007 @ 225lbs with a goal of 180. Closest I got was 184 in May of '08. Really got into the exercising, working out 4-5 times a week. Stayed right around 190lbs for months. All seemed well; I slayed the fat Bungle..

Although I kept up with the exercising, eating habits really started slipping around February this year. Going out to lunch, the grilled chicken salad occasionally became a BBQ burger w/tater tots. Pizza & buffalo wings reentered the picture. Alcohol flowed freely. Concerned that some of my new clothes were getting a little tight, I stepped on the scale April 15: 201lbs. Mother#*$@%#!!! I said I would NEVER be over 200lbs again, and there was the scale staring me in the face..

I recommitted that day, cut the booze drastically, and this morning almost 3 months later weighed in at 188. Just proves we can never go back to the habits that got us in here in the first place, gentlemen...

Thanks for the reality check and warning Bungle!.

I know what you mean. I'm pretty sure I could regain my 85 lbs in the same 7.5 months I lost it if I put my mind to it. My Goal(2) is to stay under 200 for 1 year from July 1, with the continued help of Nutrisystem on a 5 day/wk plan..

Been there, done that - and got a drawer full of XL t-shirts for the effort! This is a huge concern of mine since I just bounced up from 172 to 230 in about six months. Now, I'm back at 173 and moving downward so, this issue of maintaining my weight loss is very important to me. Thanks for the warning. It helps to keep my goals in focus...

It just doesn't seem fair. I would like to take this moment to say what a poor design the human body is. It should be easier to stay healthy than not. But it doesn't work that way. Many moons ago, humans lived in caves and the body learned how to store fat just in case, cause it may be a while till the next meal. This is no longer the case <raise fist in air> Damn you evolution<put fist down>...

It's all Adam's fault for eating that darned apple in the garden of Eden..... Everthing would have been perfect for all mankind..........

Thanks for the warning Bungle! This is the reality we all need to hear about!..

Ah...the daily struggle that lasts a lifetime..

My goal is to never get comfortable with my eating habits again..

Thanks for reminding us what happens when we do..

One day and a time till there is no more...

Yup, you gotta take it one day at a time. I sat there and said "How did this happen?" and then I took an honest look at what I'd been eating those last couple of months, it was painfully obvious. Although I should have known better, my whole family is overweight. Borrowing from Damon,.

*shaking fist in the air*.

"Damn you, inherited slow metabolism!"..

Thanks for the vote..

I shine-up like a new penny sometimes. The black suit hides many sins..

As for running for office, never..
