First question I got is Can anyone recommend a high quality, good value iPage web host? ? Looking forward for any answer. Another question on my mind: When I try to log into Admin I get this:.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/hasselfr/public_html/wholesale/catalog/admin/includes/functions/html_output.php on line 290.

Line 290 is:.

$field .= '>'tep_output_string($values[$i]['text'], array('"' => '&quot;', '\'' => ''', '<' => '&lt;', '>' => '&gt;'))'</option>';.

When I try to bring up the catalog it gives this:.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/hasselfr/public_html/wholesale/catalog/includes/functions/html_output.php on line 277.

Line 277 is:.

$field .= '>'tep_output_string($values[$i]['text'], array('"' => '&quot;', '\'' => ''', '<' => '&lt;', '>' => '&gt;'))'</option>';.

The store was working fine .. then I added the contrib for thumbs9 .. it went amuck with a ton of errors, .. I then backtracked and uninstalled all changes as were required .. and now I get these errors .. can someone help? I am totally lost ..

Actually I am .. but this one has me dumb founded!! I guess I was just lucky on the others I added!!..

Yup, but you might want to make sure and wait for someone else to confirm it as I am on the fence. Better yet, why don't you e-mail the iPage guys because they can help better...

I don't understand it .. the error was not not even a part of the thumbs9 code ... this has something to do about forms .....

How do you restore from a database ... I am just now learning mysql and php ......

Your code looks like it was added using cut and paste from internet explorer. Copy it to notepad and then to your PHP file. Then it should work..

Comment #3

That didn't work either .. would it hurt if I was to upload the untouched copy from the original install?..

It depends if you have added any other contributions or not. If you have not you will probably be OK though you should not copy over your two configure.php files..

This may be a hard lesson, you must backup your database and any and all files you plan on making changes to before you install any contribution. That way if all else fails you can upload your backups and be back to where you started before things got screwed up. Another thing to think about doing is using a local copy of osC to make changes to so you can test them before uploading the changes to your server...

Evidently you didnt remove everything. go back thru the instructions putting the code back into place. else restore from a backup, including the sql database.
