My 1st question is: Can I be blocked from iPage emails? Hoping for any comment. My 2nd question... I need a bit of help changing the actual URL of "TOP" in the breadcrumbs.

I have a specific url I want my customers to go to, not: HTTP_SERVER.

As in application_top.php.

Is how it is now.... what Im after is a specific.

Http://example.com/example.html.

Url.

Rather than the server".

Im ok at editing the php...but Im still too new at it to know what specifically to change to get.

A url there rather than the http_server...

So beearing that in mind I'm hoping someone will toss me some bonehead...copy and paste kind of answer.

Thanks in advance.

Yep, but you might want to make sure and wait for another person here to confirm this as I am on the fence. Better yet, why don't you ask the iPage guys because they can give you help better...

Thanks....but it's either that or they get dumped at the iPage site root.

And that is an index page that they would have to click back into my site.

If you have a suggestion that will get me to a specific page.....

Without dumping the session...Id appreciate hearing it..

You could make "Top" and "Catalog" point to the same place like this:.

$breadcrumb->add(HEADER_TITLE_TOP, tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT));.

Or remove the "Top" link altogether in your.

/catalog/includes/.

Application_top.php.

Like this:.

// $breadcrumb->add(HEADER_TITLE_TOP, HTTP_SERVER);.

It just depends on your situation..

If they have no reason to go back to the root, I'd remove the "Top" link altogether...

I could... but the shop is not the main part of my site...its only a portion of it...so for simplicity of navigation.

I have already changed the verbiage so catalog reads "shop" and "top" reads "home'.

But "home" is not the root of the site, it's a specific page.

So I want to make top=home thought it wound be better if I could do that without it killing the session.....

Any way to do that? doe anyone know if will it work maintain the session info if....if it's not a true and is a relative url instead?.

Everything is on the same domain.

I could eliminate both it if I add a navigation bar under the logo but I really dont want to do that.....

I prefer to keep it simple and simply have my "home" link.... go where I want ot to go.

I went in and tried changing it to a hard coded url...and it did not delete the session or clear the cart.

It worked fine in IE, firefox, and in safari (for windows) I navigated to sub-domains and to totally different domains....

And came back to the cart to find all my items still in the cart.

Do use a true URL as in.

Http://example.com/example.html.

NOT the relative url.... DOES NOT WORK.. the cart ... at least if it's in a subdirectory as mine is.....

Redirects the relative url to it's own sub-directory then adds the relative url on the end....creating a bad url.

So no session problem after all.... thanks for the help.

$breadcrumb->add(HEADER_TITLE_TOP, 'http://example.com/example.html');.

Would work..

A word of caution..

Linking to a pure HTML page will cause all session data to be lost, anything in the cart will be lost, and the customer will be logged out (if logged in)...
