Yup, although you might wanna make sure and wait for another person to confirm this as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you e-mail the iPage guys because they can answer you better...

In California you must charge tax on shipping if shipping to a California resident...

OK Shari, that fixed it! There is one more. To the left of tax amount I have a blank. It should read Sales Tax or something like that...

I think this is probably kind of like "the blind leading the blind." I really have no clue what I am doing. Under 'tax rates' there is a place for description, I have California Sales Tax. I also have that under 'tax zones' under California as the description. I don't know which one it is coming from, but mine says 'California Sales Tax' on the order..

Actually in California, shipping is not taxable, handling charges are. If you charge handling and don't keep track of the amount of actual shipping charges, then you owe tax on the total shipping/handling amount. That is right off the tax return. As long as your actual shipping charges are equal to what you charge the customer, you don't need to charge tax on the shipping amount. Other states are different, some do require a tax on the shipping amount..

When you set up your shipping modules, you make the shipping non-taxable in there..
