Question I have... Can I edit a iPage web page using HTML? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Second question.. Hi all,.

[size="2"]I have been working on my iPage site on my local machine using XAMP local server and MYSQL/PHP..

Was now just wondering how I can upload it to my host server..

Do I need to create an empty Database on my Host Control Panel or something..

What changes do I need to make to the catalog directory, example the SMTP on php.ini etc.

I would be so so glad if someone out there can help me out..

Thanks..

Hi Nic,.

Thanks for the reply. So when you say create an SQL database using PhPmyadmin, do you mean phpmyadmin on my host server control panel or the one on my xamp local machine..

How do I create the paths on the catalog and admin directories?..

Yes use your web iPage site CPanel phpmy admin.

They are pretty self explanatory once you look at the configure files.

// Define the webserver and path parameters.

// * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical).

// * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL).

Define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg,.

- should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg,.

- should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '');.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '');.

Define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');.

Just need to fill in the blanks, or overwrite the data from your local install.

Hi Nic,.

Thanks once again. I really wish I could afford the money to employ a developer..

This has forced me to do everything by myself and I am really struggling as a newbie. To be honest I dont know where to start..

I am going to give that advise a try and see how it goes.

1) create an SQL database.

2) FTP the documents to the server.

3) use phpmyadmin to change the paths.

I am sure it wont be long till you hear from me again..

Dont use phpmyadmin to change the paths, you use it to upload your database..

To change the paths use your FTP, Web stile file manager, or do it from your desktop and upload it.

Regards.

Hello.

You need to create an empty SQL database and use phpmyadmin (or similar) to populate it with your own..

FTP the documents to the server.

Change the path ways in your.

Catalog / includes / configure.php.

Catalog / admin / includes / configure.php.

Php.ini "should" be ok.

Files.
