I really dont know any local merchants. My business is going great so far. I just want my business to do better. I feel that It can go so much further if I could accept credit cards instead of just paypal. I wish there was a way...

Most merchant agreements that I've seen clearly state that you may NOT accept credit card charges on behalf of other merchants. I certainly wouldn't 'share' my merchant account with anyone else. The only one on the line if the deal goes bad would be me..

A merchant agreement is a binding contract. If you are under the age of majority in your state/country, you would have to have a parent or guardian sign the application form and accept responsibility for the credit card charges. Perhaps that's a possibility for you?.

You may be able to convince a local merchant, if you know them well, to let you share their account. I've seen it done before where two related businesses will share the same merchant account..

I have no idea if there are legal or contractual problems with that..
