Of course! but you might wanna make sure and wait for another person here to confirm it as I am not confident. Better yet, why don't you ask the iPage guys because they can help better...
1. I have created new user to administrator table with empty password - did not help.
2. I have created new user to administrator table with new MD5 encrypted password - did not help.
3. I have created new user to administrator table with plain text password - did not help.
File permissions are -rw-rw-r.
Stupid question - what is cpanel.. We are using our service providers File Manager application to end files..
And how you created new user?.
Cpanel is a common ISP control panel, basicly you should have a section that allows you to password protect a folder...
This area was the where the problem lay for me by removing access to the admin folder I was able to get into the admin section, I then re protected the folder within my ISP's control panel...
Your folder needs to be 777..
I see. Currently the folders' permissions' are 2775 (-w-rwxrwxr-x) and for files 0664 (rw-rw-r)..
I also "refereshed" permissions but I did not help :-(..
You didn't mention that your received an error but.....
If it is a password and user problem your could try:.
Otherwise, try to access the admin with the admin ".htaccess" file removed (or renamed) (make a backup 1st).
(don't mess with the shop .htaccess file).
Did you try re-uploading your admin login files?..
Quite interesting, because I'm not able to find any ".htaccess" files - neither in eShop nor in admin folders...
Would this be the root cause? What might be correct content of .htaccess.....
Files under admin/ direcotyry? Like login.php, LoginAction.php, index.php or what?.
I re-upload couple of above mentioned files....
Are you using the mod "Secure Admin Login - Logout"?.
If so see the forum at.

Probably not,..yes I'm rookie with this system, because so far the previous service provider configure everything and we did not have to make any PHP/code changes. And we don't want to upload anything new to our existing webshop (osCommerce installation) - if it is not mandatory..
The current service provider does not give any osCommerce support, and we just want to get Admin up-and-running as soon as possible...
Issue solved. Thanks for all help, but the issue was quite clear.. The password in administrator table was not MD5 encrypted format or so. Basically it might have been corrupted when our webshop and it's mysql database was transferred to new web iPage hosting platform..
I just deleted lines from administrator table and created new lines with valid "password" encryption method in SQL-insert clause..

We changed our webshop's service provider and moved osCommerce software (webshop) to new service provider; including PHP files and MySQL database. Everything went well except that we are not able to login Admin pages anymore. I have checked that configure.php file's settings from paths and DB settings are correct. Also the content of database is ok, (administrator table!). The problem occurs so that after given valid username and password information and pressing "Login" button the control returns back to Admin login pages. I can see at LoginAction.php is called, which should perform the autentication using database and finally redirect the call to index.php..
I also create new customership to our web page, and after that copied the created account (username and MD5 encrypted password) to administrator table, but it did not help..
I found out that this (cannot login to admin page) is quite common problem, but there was not any common and clear workaround to solve this issue. So, I am asking help to solve this issue, because we are not able to maintain our products which has affects to our business..
I had this problem a little while ago after moving my site, it turned out to be the Web Protect in my cpanel..
Delete user and remove all access rights (so the admin is no longer protected).
Create new user and password...
Hope this helps!..
