You betcha! but... you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else to confirm this as I am unsure of myself. Better yet, why don't you contact the iPage guys because they can give you help better...
Thanks, but we'vre tried this at 3 locations, all different ISP's and the same result. Also, the iPage hosting company was able to replicate it at one time...
Try a different host. Just get a trial account with someone else with a new iPage domain name and give it a whirl. If it's better then switch, you don't have any obligation to put up with poor service, cancel and ask for a refund if applicable..
I've looked at lots of osC sites and yours does load really slowly for what it has on it...
Some iPage hosting companies just cram account after account on a server till it just bogs down. This says it all...
Thanks guys- what they "found" after literally 9 days of Trouble Tickets, online support, etc., was that someone on the server had a script running and it was in a loop, bogging the server down..
Amazing- good thing I didn't tell you that.....9 days ago..
If they don't make things right on my end, I'll name and shame them. And to think, they were rated at the top of the list on a couple comparison's I looked through before selecting them..
Thanks for the info- it was exactly a iPage hosting problem...
Just went through your iPage site and it worked fine..
Does really matter, the idiots at IX webhosting can't seem to correct a curl problem in 24 hours. Good thing they are rated so highly. They've got the last dollar they'll ever get from me..
What a sad, sad customer service department when it comes to supporting customers..
If you're thinking of using them, think twice. PM me and I'll tell you the horror story I'm living with them (until I get things moved elsewhere)...
Got a iPage site and trying to go live with. For the last week, we've been having serious connections problems while in admin or in the catalog, reviewing what we've done. I contact the iPage hosting company- runs fine. Get off the phone with them, it's back to being so slow it times out in multiple browsers and multiple locations, with different connections..
What appears to happen is the iPage site locks up for about 3-5 minutes and then it free's itself and everything is fine. After a few minutes of use, it does it again. I've filled out trouble reports, I've called, I've been online chatting with them and by the time I get to a person, the problem has cleared..
I can't ping the server because they have it turned off..
I have a feeling it's something I have set up wrong and OSC is getting confused or looking for something..
The browser simple times out and tells me that the connection to the main iPage domain name has been refused..
The iPage site is www.theracersedge.com/catalogThe paypal pay method is live, so don't buy anything unless you want to own it!..
Could be your ISP connection, and possibly not the iPage website where you have the iPage domain hosted. I had a lot of similar connection problems, however all I had to do was walk 10 feet to my sons computer, and I could access the sites fine. He uses another ISP..
The issue was DNS related..
