Got a question... Can I use GoLive to build my site on iPage.com? Looking forward for any answer or 2. Another question... I had to upload my 'configure' file again. What I have overlooked is I have to input the settings again. I have managed to define the database connection but when I open the page in the browser it looks like.

This.

Please tell me what I need to do..

Cheers..

Yup, however you might want to make sure and wait for someone else here to confirm this as I am unsure of myself. Better yet, why don't you contact the iPage guys because they can give you help better...

Hi Mark, yes it was the catalog/includes/configure.php file that I uploaded. Still cant seem to get it to work. This is the code, can you see from this if I have not added anything??.

You need to fill in this info:.

Define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '');.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '');.

Well, if you do not define the address of your web-server, you cant expect your shop to function ... !!..

Also advisable to change this.

Define('STORE_SESSIONS', ''); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql'.

To this.

Define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql'); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql'.

Vger..

Change to this either set the SSL to false or if you are using SSL set the paths for the SSL parts server, cookies, catalog.

Define('ENABLE_SSL', false);.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/catalog/');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/catalog/');.

Define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '');..

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiig thankyou Steve, that has done the job, very much appreciated..

Thanks also to the all the others!!..

Just taken a quick look at your site, and apart from two things it now seems to be functioning..

First thing, your footer info is appearing in your right column - don't know if that's deliberate or not (but it doesn't look good)..

Secondly your configure.php file is not chmod'ed to 400 (it's probably set to 644), which is why you're getting the error at the top of the page..

Hope this helps - Vger..

Try setting your cookies path to /catalog (don't forget the slash!).

And your http catalog path to /catalog/ (don't forget the slashes!)..

You mentioned the footer info appearing to the right, the strange thing is when you do a refresh it all sorts itself out and all is ok. Why would it be doing this??..

PAGE DISPLAYS WRONG ON FIRST LOAD.

Catalog/includes/application_top.php.

On the line below <?php at the very beginning of the file, add.

Ini_set ( 'session.use_trans_sid', 0);.

Chmod would be 644 and then if you still get the message try 444 read only state..

Then your next question will be how can I remove the three images from the header right hand side.

Chances are that you only re-uploaded your catalog/includes/configure.php file ? .

If so, take a look at the admin/includes/configure.php.

File for some of your missing info..

It's a different configuration, but many of the relevant paths will be in there....
