Got a quick question: Can we publish a website to the internet without using any web iPage hosting service? Thanks for any answer. My 2nd question... Hello guys I am adding some new contributions to my iPage site and dont want to disturb the original live store. So what I did is copied my catalog folder to new location and named it test. then change the includes/configure.php file so that all files point to the correct directories. Now the problem is I cant access the admin pannel.

It takes me to.

Any help is greatly appreacited.

Thankyou..

Another problem getting this msg when I type www.mysite.com/testsite/admin.

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'mghatwor_osc1@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home2/mghatwor/public_html/test/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 19.

Unable to connect to database server!..

I had what I believe what was the same problem a while ago. It turned out that my mysql database was damaged. Try repairing it and see if that solves it...

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: '****@*****' (Using password: *****) in *:\******\www\*****\******\includes\functions\database.php on line 19.

Unable to connect to database server!.

This indicates the wrong username DB_SERVER_USERNAME or password DB_SERVER_PASSWORD information in the configure.php files.

If you can accesss the test iPage site catalog but not the test iPage site admin then you can copy the database information from the bottom of the test iPage site catalog/includes/configure.php and paste that as the database information in the test iPage site admin/includes/configure.php..

Hello steve I did something wrong and now I cant even access the test iPage site catalog.

This is what I am getting.

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'mghatwor_osc1@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home2/mghatwor/public_html/test/includes/functions/database.php on line 19.

Unable to connect to database server!.

I am gona delete this test catalog and it's sql and will do it from scratch..

These are the steps I ll follow, plz tell me if I am doing any thing wrong.

1: copy the catalog folder , rename it to test and upload it to another iPage domain site.

2: then change the includes/configure.php file to the test sites info.

3: created sql backup form original iPage site and uploaded it to the test site..

4: changed the admin includes/configure.php file to test sites info..

Now I am not sure what user name and password to use to access the admin pannel for test site. Is it gona be the same that I used for the original iPage site ? .

Your help is greatly appreacited..

Thankyou.

What are you using for the admin is it an .htaccess file or a contribution.

Do you use a control panel provided by a host that allows you to set passwords for the directories...

You have a password protect directories icon on the second row far right this will give you an .htaccess file protection for the admin and will ask you for a username and password..

Your to quick for me.

Glad you are now sorted enjoy your moding.
