Yep, but... you might want to make sure and wait for someone else to confirm this as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you contact the iPage guys because they can help better...

Set the "false" to "true" and enter the location of your secure site..

If you are not sure what you should use for your secure domain, you will need to check with your iPage hosting provider...

Define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://mywebsite.com eg,.

- should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://mywebsitesecureaddress.com); // eg,.

- should not be empty for productive servers.

Define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?.

Define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'your domain');.

Define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'your_secure_domain');.

I must be missing something. I have played with this all night and still not getting my cart to recognise ssl..

I replaced the empty '' with my information yet when I log on to admin it still says I am not secured. and my shopping cart is not showing the security. My host offers shared ssl so I am using the alias address for the ssl address. Have any other clues?.

Thanks in advance..

Change that to your real iPage domain and secure domain..

BTW Thanks for all this help for this poor Newb!.

I have followed your instructions. I have found that there is a configure.php in both the catalog and admin folders and have made changes in both. I added the iPage domain address as both the normal and the secure. Problem now seems to be that when I log on to the secure shopping cart and clik on a picture it takes me to the insecure site. Any suggestions?..

Thats how it should work..you dont need the full iPage site to be secure, that would just slow things down..

You only need it to be secure when you are dealing with account info and such like...clicking on a picture to go to a product description will throw it out of secure mode and then when you go back to anything account related it should be back to https..

Thank you, I found the location but not sure what to do with it. I found a line of code (define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module) Is it as simple as changing false to true? Also how do add ssl protection to my admin? Thank you in advance..
