My 1st question is: Can you drink Coke Zero while on the Medifast Diet? Looking forward for any response. Second question.. I am NEW, I am EXCITED!!!! (but my order won't be here until Tues 2/1).

Wondering if there are any new starters this week that would like to hook up to start together. I need and want this program to work for me and get this weight off and keep it off forever. I have been reading the sight for a few weeks now and decided last week this is where I need to be. The success stories from people here have given me so much inspiration..

I hope this is the appropriate way to proceed for a new group, or if there is a group that is already out there I would love to jump in with you...

You betcha! however you might wanna make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm my answer as I am not sure. Better yet, why don't you contact the Medifast guys because they can help better...

Welcome both of you! Yes it works! As for groups, as far as I know all you need to do is pick one that you like and start posting in it...

Hi, I just ordered MF. Never done anything like this befor! I'm going to need all the support I can get. I'll check back in when I get my goodie.

Good luck to us all...

Welcome to you both and good luck! Medifast really works! Make sure you take advantage of this site. You will get allot of good ideas, motivation, and support...

I Just started today! It was not as easy as I had hoped, but I got through and I know it will be worth it. The biggest challenge for me was figuring out my lean and green meal. Also, I made cream of broccoli soup for lunch and it was lumpy- a friend told me that I need to shake it and let it soak for a few hours before I cook it.

Can't wait to get past day 3!.

Weight now: 215.

Goal Weight: 140..

Hi all!Mf does work if you follow the plan as written.I am re committing as of 2/2 100% OP.Have a challenge going on another board to lose 5 pounds by Weigh In Monday.Good luck to everyone!! Diane..

Question- I keep seeing "OP" all over the discussion boards. What does this stand for?..

OP stands for On Plan. Some people use it for Off Plan, but that's not what it's for. According to the veterans of this program, you should type off plan if you need to say it. Some people use it for Opening Poster or Post...

Hi everyone! Medifast definitely works. I would love to join this group. I've done this before and had good success! I always do better with help from other people. I'm starting tomorrow and I feel better already! My weight started to escalate again so I figured I better throw on the brakes. Good luck to everyone!.

Darlene - it will be great to have someone in the group who has done it before and can lend some inspiration!..

HI guys I started on 2/1 as well.. I wanted to be a friday weigher though so my first week was only 4 days but I lost 11.4 lbs.. I weighed my self 5 times to be sure!! SO far today (day 4) is the first time I'm hungry. I wasnt able to get in my 5th meal last night cause I was too full from dinner so maybe thats it.. all is well so far. Good luck to all my fellow Februarians(is that even a word lol )..

I guess I technically started in January, but I'd love to be a part of this group! My first weigh-in is slated for tomorrow morning, and I'm loving how I feel on MF. So far, so good. One thing is for sure - all of the support from the Medifast boards definitely help me keep my eyes on the prize. Good luck to all of my fellow Feb. starters!!..

@Darianna75 - Congrats girl!! 11.4 lbs in 4 days- way to go.

Welcome @Thinbride- how'd your weigh in go this morning?.

My weigh in is scheduled for tuesday. I think I finally got over the energy and mood slump- feeling like I have a lot more energy. My biggest hurdle is still the Lean and Green. Living in NYC, everyone eats out all the time. I guess we shall see how things go on Tuesday.

Happy Weekend!..

Hey Everyone,.

Thinbride is right. This works so much better if you log in every day and hear other's success stories or support ones that had an "oops" moment. That being said, I had an "oops" weekend! Man, I'm so mad at myself. Two days of perfection then I hit fall apart. Now I'm going have to start all over again Monday. Ugh! I'm not giving up though! I'm starting again on Monday and logging in everyday!! Good luck to everyone!!.

@abcdlb - I'm so happy that you're NOT giving up! Monday will be here in no time, and you've got another entire week in front of you to make good choices. It doesn't matter if you have a bad day or two, the important part is that you've committed to getting back on track. Best wishes to you!.

@ChristinaNYC - my weigh in went extremely well! I'm down 6.9lbs to 197.9 - a number I haven't seen in at least two years. As a reward for re-entering onderland, I allowed myself to go out for lunch with one of my very best girlfriends...the food wasn't the reward though, spending time with her was. I managed to eat out and stay 100% on plan by going to Duke's Chowderhouse and having a salmon caesar salad (with out croutons and cheese, dressing on the side). the salmon was delish, and so flavorful that I didn't even need the dressing. (which is good, because I really didn't need any servings of fats with my salmon.).

I know it's hard to get the L&G meal in when you're looking at restaurant menus (I find that I'm pretty limited here) - are you able to cook much at home?..

Thanks @thinbride! Im able to cook a little bit - since my apartment is tiny, that means my kitchen is too so I'm trying to maneuver my way around.

I also just bought a sandwich maker which is super helpful when making a bunch of the recipes. Tomorrow starts week 2 for me and I get to weigh in fro the first time - nervous and excited all at the same time..

Hope everyone has a great week...

Thanks Thinbride!.

Today went great and I'm so glad I'm writing again. It helps so much. I received more food today too so that will help. I'm super fussy with food so I can't let it get to the point I did this time. I'll have to look at the recipe book again. The sandwich maker someone mentioned was interesting.

You'll do great ChristinaNYC! You'll see! Have a great day everyone!..

Ok first day and it's not over. I messed up and only planned a 4 and one day. had the chicken rice soup...GROSS I was disappointed it was awful. I will try to make it with chicken broth (1/2 cup) and soak overnight and hope it helps. also if you have the peanut butter does it also count as a healthy fat? if so, wello, I went over my fat's. but all in all, so far a successful day one. onto day goal is to just do this for one month and see how it goes..maybe go to Medifast after the first month?..

Just checking in - I've lost a total of 9lbs as of my weigh-in this morning!! Possibly more exciting (to me) is the loss of a total of 13 inches. Incredible! Medifast is a lifesaver...I'm so happy I found it!..

Hi everyone!! Mind if I join?.

I am looking for a group but most of them seem to be very much just feels weird to invade..

I started last Tuesday and had my first "official" weigh in today. I only lost 3.8 which kind of has me down. I was hoping for a little more. I did not go off program at all. It just seems like it should have been more. Sorry for whining..

How is everyone doing this week so far?..

I'm re-committing TOMORROW and this is it!!!! Please wish me luck!..

Hey Everyone,.

My goodness I've been so busy. I have like zero energy but hanging in there. I've actually convinced my husband to do this with me. It's helping a lot. I'm going to weigh in on Monday. Next week we have off so I'm a little worried about staying on plan.

At least I'll have more time to post more. I had the pancakes today. They were yummy..

Do great everyone!.

Hi, I started 2/7/11 and I'd like to join you. I am a very slow loser, so I hope(not wishing it on anyone)I can find someone else that struggles to loose as I do and can inspire me. I don't have any problem staying on Medifast but I do become discouraged that my numbers don't go down like everyone elses. I'm almost at end of week 2 and pray I loose at least 1#So please say a little prayer for me or just keep your fingers crossed ...

I just started Medifast today and so far had 3 shakes and ate 2 stalks of celery and chewing gum like mad! Plus 2 lge mugs of black coffee (miss the creamer already) and 32 oz of pain brewed green tea. And I quite counting the trips to the bathroom. From what Iv'e been seeing on the message boards this is typical. Well wish me luck, I hope I can handle this plan for the duration, I need to lose 80 lbs..

Hi Mercy and February starters,.

I am new and starting tomorrow. I am tired of looking in the mirror and seeing a stranger. I am hopeful Medifast will work for me. You are all so inspiring. If there is any way I can support you, please reach out...

Congratulations, thinbride!!.

You are on your way to goal! Yay! Keep up the good work!..

Hello Everyone,.

I am a Feb starter so I figured I fit in well right here. I started on Thursday 2/17 so, today is day 3 and I am feeling good. I have enjoyed all the food that I have tried so far. I plan to have soft serve tonight for my evening portion..

I look forward to this journey with everyone. I am renewing my vows in July and I am hoping to have lost at least 50-60lbs by then.......

I just have to report...I lost another 2# as of today and my official weigh-in day isn't until I'm so to change my ticker yippeeeeee...

I scheduled my weigh ins for Mondays. Eventhough I started on Thursday 2/17 I weighed today and have already lost 5lbs. AWESOME!!!..

Just wanted to check in to see how everyone is doing? Had a rough day yesterday because I love pico de gallo. So, I improvised using the alloted tomatoe, cilantro and peppers. Left out the onion. I put it on top of my steak. It cured my craving. I loved it!!..
