Yes sir! but you might want to make sure and wait for another person here to confirm my answer as I am unsure of myself. Better yet, why don't you ask the iPage guys because they can answer you better...
What do you mean by header tags contribution? I did not set up the script, it was purchased through ebay and I suppose the owner set it up. Thanks Again. How do I get a hold of the header contribution?.
#1 Have you installed the header tags contribution If not then you should..

Well the first place I would start would be the person you purchased the iPage site from as I am sure he can tell you what contributions were included on the site..
Do a search for header tags in the contributions..
With the header tags controller contribution you will have extra fields in your product pages in the admin to add your tags there, if you do not have the extra fields it has probably not been installed. If you do decide to install it make sure you back up your iPage site (or at least all the files you are going to change) and you database before you get started...
Ok, At first I thought you were talking about contributions as a file or script. Now I believe your talking about a contributions made by people who donate the scripts..
I have written the person who installed the script..
I believe I have the answer, there is no answer except the script left this information out. I see the words title but PHP is in code. I don't understand PHP LIKE I understand html..
So what I am doing is downloading a php editor from Download.com and then I am sure i'll be able to place the tags in the proper place..
Thanks for the information and your time..
Tim - look at the top of this display and you will see a link for Contributions. Click on it and then type in Header Tags in the search string. Contributions are scripts written by users that perform certain tasks. Your shop may or may not have it installed. Look for a file named header_tags.php in your catalog/includes directory. If it is not there, you do not have it installed.
As for an editor, you can use just about any editor to work on the code for OSC. However, none will display the page as DW does for HTML. You will need to edit the actual code..
You will save yourself a great deal of time by installing the contribution instead of trying to code it all yourself. Just go.
Download what needs to be downloaded and follow the instructions to install. What this contribution will do for you is make it so you can just enter your title, keywords and description right in the admin catalog rather than hard coding each individual page. It's much much easier this way...
Boy - This is some scary stuff. I see, I will need to work with the script and forget trying to edit php..
I am trying to understanding the add on contributions script for adding title to pages. It looks like with a lot of patients, I may be I will able to pull it off. But I have a problem in that the script talks about changes in the database..
When the script was installed for me, the sql database was not used because my server database kept timing out because the database was to large..
I was told that he would find another way, however it would take a few hours to complete the job. I suppose entering data through the admin control panel. I really don't know. guessing......
The problem I am trying to work out in my head before I start the project is the changes required below..
The below requires a change in the database title. What do I change instead if I am not using the database? or i'm I just totally lost. Have I lost you..
Could it be that header.sql is the name of the add on script?.
Forgive me if I don't seem to bright today. I'm tired and worn out from a rough week at work. Please clearify, thanks..
This was ok to me (wdo):.
Add the following code to your database or import "header.sql" (Talon177).
ALTER TABLE products_description ADD products_head_title_tag VARCHAR(80) NULL;.
ALTER TABLE products_description ADD products_head_desc_tag LONGTEXT NULL;.
ALTER TABLE products_description ADD products_head_keywords_tag LONGTEXT NULL;.
Thanks for your input.....

If you have an osC iPage site running you are using the database as it will not work without it..
Yes the sql file is what needs to be added/changed in your database, using phpmyadmin it is pretty simple to run the changes you just select the database, click on the sql tab, click on browse and drill down to the sql file on your computer and click on run..
Again make sure you backup everything first before making any changes...
What scripts do I add the Keywords, Title and Meta Tags too. I do not see any php with the title section keyword etc. I need to add this so that I can submit my web iPage site to the search engines..
Also any one have a clue as to how to edit the header and footer. I am using dreamweaver and when I load the header and footer I don't see anything I can edit. Is there a program people use to edit PHP files?.
If you know the answer please help..
#1 Have you installed the header tags contribution? If not then you should..
#2 Are you trying to edit the files in wysiwyg mode? If so then that is the problem, if you want to edit the files you are going to need to actually change the code...
