You betcha! but... you might want to make sure and wait for another person to confirm this as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you email the iPage guys because they can answer your iPage question better...

Oh yeah, and you can also do it by going to catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php.

The first line of php code is all that text you see....

Just take it all out so all you see is this on the first line:.

Define('TEXT_MAIN', '');.

(there should be nothing between the 2 single quotes '..

That's real bad advice to give to a newbie..

Next he'll be back wondering how to put text back on the page..

And: Your signature violates forum rules. Big Time.

Okay okay... so it's late, you should find all your text definitions in the includes/languages/english/index.php.

Sorry for the mis-information above! the text_main is the greeting explaining the ecommerce store from the first install....

Wanna see my cool store? go to:.

The instuctions for modifying the page text are right on the first screen you see after the install.

Editing Page Texts.

The text shown here can be modified in the following file, on each language basis:.

[path to catalog]/includes/languages/english/index.php.

That file can be edited manually, or via the Administration Tool with the Languages->English->Define or Tools->File Manager modules..

The text is set in the following manner:.

Define('TEXT_MAIN', 'This is a default setup of the osCommerce project...');.

The text highlighted in green may be modified - it is important to keep the define() of the TEXT_MAIN keyword. To remove the text for TEXT_MAIN completely, the following example is used where only two single quote characters exist:.

Define('TEXT_MAIN', '');.

That's what I thought but Text Main doesn't include that part I quoted. The welcome part is there towards the bottom of that index.php but when I remove the line in between the '' , I get a php error..

Thanks for the help, I think I got it now..

Catalog/index.php locate this code (use your search):.

         <tr>.

           <td class="main"><?php echo TEXT_MAIN; ?></td>.

         </tr>.

Just remove that whole table row and it's gone...
