My 1st question is: Chickens- Medifast recipes, care, coop designs...? Hoping for any answer. Another question on my mind: I had.

Surgery.

9/23/09 and to this date I have lost 166 lbs. My weight loss slowed down so much after 145 lbs and now weight comes off very, very, very slow..

I can't and won't complain, because I'm in a far better place now than I was a year ago. I feel great, look ok and enjoy shopping for everything from bras, underwear, shirts, sweaters, jeans, even pajamas. It's still automatic when I go shopping to head to the Plus Size Section, and I still look around before I remember that nothing there will fit me, unless I want a shirt for a nightgown..

I'm at 172 lbs now and I was hoping to be anywhere between 140 and 150, maybe it will happen and maybe it won't..

The disadvantage I have over most is that with my neuro-muscular disease I can't get out and walk or.

Exercise.

Like everyone else, so what weight I have lost is just from so little food, the.

Surgery.

And sitting on my butt. I do get around better now, I have a.

Brace.

For my leg and can actually walk quite a distance now, but nothing like everyone else..

I'm so very proud of where I'm at right now, although the only time I see the difference is when I take a picture of myself and look at it. I wish I could find a fix for the mirror, because every time I look in it, it shows me 300 plus Kelly. Hate that mirror and all mirrors....but love looking at pics..

Sorry it's long, just getting out some thoughts, good luck to all you newbies, and congrats on the new you!!!.

Kelly..

Thanks all, and with all the pics of you.....ev1 looks AMAZING!!!.

What a great gift we have given ourselves..

As far as working with a PT or any other therapist......I do see a PT every 6 months at the ALS Clinic. According to her, my leg is the weakest it can get before I lose total use of it. So she believes that any type of PT or.

Exercise.

Will hurt rather than help me..

I do use handweights and of course I lift on things. Even though the muscle weakness is all over, it is mainly my leg that is affected the most. My left thigh is practically skin on bone, just about all the muscle has deteriorated..

However, I move while I can. I smile and walk what I can. There are people that are worse off than I am, so I'm thankful..

Thanks again,.
