I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..
Glad to hear everything went well! Just keep sipping.. you're still early out, and your pouchie is still swollen and healing, so be patient and do the best you can.. it will get easier..
Glad to hear it went well. I am 8 days out, and I am still struggling with my liquids and protein I think will come easier once we can have more Medifast food and are healed up more...
Welcome home my.
Sister. Keep me (us) posted how everything is going. Let me know what you're doing and I'll do the same. xoxo..
Not to worry if you are not hitting your dietary guidelines. That is what they are guidelines. It all falls into place as the days and weeks go by..
I hated the protein powders so I drank Carnation Instant Breakfast, broths, whizzed up bean and meat soups thinned with no chucks, and nonfat milk. And did not sweat that I was not getting in exactly everything the guidelines suggested. I knew my body was using it's reserves. : ).
Water is sip, sip, sip...really is more important to not get dehydrated than to get in all the protein at this stage..
Congrats on being home and being on the "Loser's Bench.".
Glad you are home. Our stories are similar. My doctor said the same thing and he let me come home a day ahead of schedulle. Still alot sore, some tired and some weakness. Just take it easy and take care of yourself. I slept most of today.
Good luck getting your liquids in. Just do the best you can for now. I have that issue too. Don't stress too much..
Welcome home! Water is more important than protein at this stage. Herbal tea was a lifesaver for me in the early days. The warmth relaxed my pouch. I began and ended the day with a great cuppa' tea!!.
Just keep sipping...it is tough in the beginning but it gets easier. Sip,sip, sip! :) Glad you are home and doing well!..
So glad to hear that things went well for you....haven't had.
Yet, but keep hearing that it will get easier to get more in as you heal...just concentrate on the water so you don't get dehydrated... Keep us posted....and save room for me on the losers bench :).
I had my.
On Tuesday and they let me come home today. If feels really good to be home. Having a struggle getting in more than 10 gms of protein and still only managing about 10 oz of water. My.
Went really well though the doc said it couldn't have gone any better! Any suggestions on how to get all the required protein & liquids in?..
So glad your home and doing well just read alot of these post and believe me you will do fine...
Thank you all for your encouraging words!! Today has gone much better. I think I have almost doubled the liquid intake from yesterday!!..
Yay! Welcome Home!.
The first week is rough but it does get better everyday..
Isopure Carb Zero has 40g of proteins and 160 calories. It is considered a clear liquid so not only are you getting in fluids you are getting in protein. They are a bit pricey you can pick them up at GNC or I ordered mine at.
(sometimes they have great sales on them at this site and some of their stuff you get free shipping)..
Just remember to sip...
Happy to hear that your home safe and sound :).
Sip, sip, sip... Rest, rest, rest, Sip, sip, sip, Walk, walk, walk, sip, repeat ;).
I'm not crazy about the taste but Isopure (grape frost) can be purchased at GNC and it's about 40gms protein for 20 oz's fluid..
