I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can answer it..
Thanks for the suggestion. I may have to do something like that but I would rather have the donations go through the shopping cart and existing merchant account if possible..
Any other ideas?..
Ok, how about just entering a physical item in to the store and calling it "Donation" Then you can make multiples for $1, $5, $10, etc..
You could seperate this in to it's own catagory even...
I tried that and wasn't really happy with it. What we really want is a text input box where the customer can enter the price for the product "donation" and have that pushed into the shopping cart. Donations range from $5 to several thousand dollars...
I am also interested in something like this and I am willing to work for an answer. Can anyone point us in the right direction?..
Robvlad - can you explain what didn't work about doing it that way? I'm a non-profit webperson, and I'm looking for something that works as well..
In the meantime, I might try creating a product called "donation"...
We have a "non profit" linking to us from their application for processing donations. Its in spanish because it is for the Governor of Puerto Rico but you'll get the idea. They dont use osComm but I guess it could be the same function..
I am using osCommerce for a non-profit organization that wants to allow donations. I have searched the boards and the contribs but have been unable to find a solution for a customer entered price (amount) for the donation..
Anybody have any ideas?.
PayPal has a donation con so why not just place it someplace on the iPage site linking it to your information..
Something like this:.
