That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I got an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could assist you..

I will do this. I'm gonna weigh myself Thanksgiving morning and then give myself a goal from there...

380, it's a lofty goal but I think I can do it...

Hmmm, I need a goal but it's going to be other than weight. Maybe BF% or some other fitness metric, maybe max dead lift or squat since that's the mode I'm in right now. Can I get in with a non-weight related goal?..

282 today with a goal of 260 by Jan 1st..

Could be tough with Thanksgiving, Christmas, my birthday and new years all coming but Im up for it...

Did someone say life style change?.

These events come every year about the same time...

Twas the Month After Christmas.

Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house.

Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse..

The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste.

At the holiday parties had gone to my waist..

When I got on the scales there arose such a number!.

When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber)..

I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;.

The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,.

The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese.

And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please.".

As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt.

And prepared once again to do battle with dirt.

I said to myself, as I only can.

"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!".

Soaway with the last of the sour cream dip,.

Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip.

Every last bit of food that I like must be banished.

"Till all the additional ounces have vanished..

I won't have a cookienot even a lick..

I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick..

I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,.

I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry..

I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore.

But isn't that what January is for?.

Unable to giggle, no longer a riot..

Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!..

Well I'm not gonna hit my 12/1 goal, so I'll revise it for New Year's: 180.

Did you miss the part where I said Im up for it?..

Good luck mike. 22 lbs is a boatload in a month - no matter how big you are..

Its a bit lofty but it's 38 days (nearly 5 and half weeks) and If I keep my 4 lb average per week I should be pretty close on new years day. I also haven't weighed in since last Saturday, so I figure Ive lost one or two already. I think it's attainable.

38days / 7=5.428 x 4 lbs per week = 21.71 = I may have to much free time..

I'll be at 160 easy. My number is more maintenance, but will be a useful check on me. Have been having these weird twinges that I've kicked the program's and my fat's asses and so "what now"? So a month or two maintenance challenge would be good check on me..

I'm feeling slim at 165, so I may not choose to stay at 160...have been all over the map on where to stay...but any changes will be deliberate, not to cover a slip...

I know that you're not quite at goal, but you have really kicked ass on this program so far. Congratulations! And if you do half as well at maintenance as you have at losing you'll never have to be a loser again...

Thanks, Mobay, Nutrisystem and the boards helped me do something I had been fiddling with for a decade. Always knew I had it in me to lose the weight. Still, I know I have it in me to gain it back too. I really hope to do well at maintenance. Congrats on how you have done yourself. Great spokesexample!..

Yes, good job poly. I hope you do well on maintenance. you stick around and we'll follow your weight. now, with you out of the competitions, I think I need a few wagers with the rhino and bond...we need to kick it up I think for Jan 1..

That would be fun. I appreciate y'all doing the Hoff, big men against small. There's bd4cu too...and Robert could power his way down close to you too...

I'll get in on this. I've been a lurker now for a while but I think this is where it's going to get tough for me. I'm between races and this is the last goal on my list - "MAINTAIN THIS LIFESTYLE CHANGE".

Bring back the hoff or something similar...hilarious to lurk in...*back in hiding*..

Fun to see all the takers in the challenge; non weight goals such as body fat are more than welcome too. I think this is what I need to stay focused through the holidays..

I'm gonna make my 1/1 goal 208..

That might change depending on what I weigh-in at on 12/1...

I am in. I will give you a goal weight on 12/1...

I'm in - shooting for 244 by 1/1. Things seem to be leveling off this week but hopefully the diet and exercise keep the weight going down..

It would also be a weight I have not seen since my high school days over umm, umm, umm 26 years ago as well as being down 140 from my highest..

Go! Go! Go!..

185 this morning. Lightest I've been in a year. Stay back, evil mashed potatoes & stuffing! 180 here I come!.

I'm in ill shoot for 260 by 1/1 my birthday is 1/5 I'd like to be at a good weight by then and 260 would be 20 less then I was last year, bring on the holidays!!!..

Wife and I just ate monster salad so we would be ready for dinner at the outlaws house...we're going over fully prepared to take this on!.

Happy thanksgiving gentlemen!..

Weighing in at 282 for the new years day challenge. 283/282/268.

I'm fairly new here. I've been on the Nutrisystem plan since mid October and have lost a few pounds. I'd like to be down to 225 by my birthday (12/31) just a day earlier than the end of the challange..

So count me in. I weighed in this mroning at 248. My goal for 1/1 is 225..

I am for the New Year's day challenge. I weighed 201 this morning. Put me down for 196 on New Year's day..

I better call Nutrisystem and make a speical order of the Blueberry Muffins!..

Now that we've finished our 12/1 goals, I'm ready for a new year's challenge. With my birthday, Christmas, and New Years all approaching, I'm going to keep it realistic..

1/1/10 Goal 184lbs!..

Starting weight for the month is 219.4. Goal weight is 210...

Weighed in yesterday, but haven't had time to come on the boards until now..

NS-start / Challenge-start /.

Challenge-current / Challenge-goal.

1.5 lbs ain't bad for T'giving week...

I need a good challenge to stay focused so I'm in. This is what I came up with for a challenge since I don't really want to lose weight, I want to cut body fat and build back muscle. Don't laugh at my current weights, I've actually been working hard in the weight room for months but since I lost so fast I was inevitably unable to retain much muscle..

Bench Press - Current 1 rep max 205, goal 1RM 225.

Squat - Current 1RM unknown, I just made some major changes to how I squat so my weights are off while I groove the new form, let's say 185, goal 1RM 275.

Dead Lift - Current 1RM 250, Goal 1RM 315.

*Goal deadlines are all 1/1/2010..

And oh yeah, I recommend that anyone who misses their challenge has to sport the Hoff for one day for every pound they miss by, (I may have to rethink that, that could add up big for me!)...

Join our Cutters team, Hugebear. We need a "Dave"...

I'm afraid I didn't understand any part of that. What's the Cutters team, and can't I just be Bill?..

Watch Breaking Away for the references..

We have a cycling clique committed to 400 mile (each) in December...

Ahhh, now I get it. I'm even from Indiana and didn't get it right away..

I've just about transitioned completely over to running from cycling for the winter. Below 50 and the cold hurts my knees pretty bad. Now I could possibly run 100 miles before Jan 1.....

Ok i'm in. I did not make the 12/1 challenge - and December is equally frustrating.

So I am 230 now - i'm going for 220 as realistic..

Good luck guys.

I'm on vacation in florida in a condo complex stealing internet so I can't really say much for a while.....

I'm in! I am 200 now and want to be at 190.....

Lets do it!..

I saw 189 on the scale this morning, that's a first! I haven't been under 190 in at least 15 years.

Now it's on to 185. Plus I may have to change my photo, this one was taken right at 240lbs on an Alaskan cruise this past summer...

Give us a "before" and "now" shot, Rads!.

Really proud of your progress, Rad. I understand your wife's jealousy. Heck, I'm jealous..

But keep it up, man. Positive examples mean so much. Plus you are really transforming yourself. Bet you are super happy with the new physique that emerges from the flab!..

If I miss my goal I'll put up the Hoff eating a burger off the floor while drunk out of his mind...

Thanks Poly, you ought to be incredibly proud of yourself as well! My wife is actually doing pretty well, I believe she is now down about 25lbs herself. I'll reach my goal weight sooner, but she'll get to hers as well. She just opened a new BBB tonight, mine should be here on Friday. So we're going to go 100% all month, with the exception of 2-3 days during the holidays, but even then we'll choose wisely.....

My month of December has been crap so far..

Back on plan 100% tomorrow...

Mine has been too; almost like my scale is stuck. Pants seem to fit better every day even without the # dropping...

I am officially back on the wagon. Found out that life stress can really do a trip on your diet plan. Lost 32 pounds, gained 7 back. One must stay on task..

At one point, I was content in saying "no" to sweets and chips. But with the fall season came lots of baked goods and chocolate at work. Also added stress at work and especially with putting my father in law into a nursing home has disrupted family life to where all I have wanted to do when I finally get home is lay on the couch and eat Doritos..

So I want my December to be a losing month so that I hope to lose 3 pounds by Jan 1...

I just did my weekly weigh-in, and I'm stoked to be down to 187.9. That makes a 5lb drop in a week! But I had been bad during the previous week.....

Finally the gift of another pound lost; now at 281 with a new years day goal of 268. the 270s are so close I can almost taste them!.

First week went pretty good. My first weigh in on 30 November I was 248.0. This morning I weighed in at 243.4, down 4.6 lbs..

Not too bad. I was hoping for 5 lbs or better for the first week..

Goal weight is 225 by 1/1..

261/243/180 New years.

Lost 4 this week. Looking for 7 more before New Years...

Great job, Robert!! 4 lbs is a BIG week!.

Only down 2 this week, 7 more to go by new years...

Slight gain this week (was 224.6 last week). Too many pitchers of beer Thursday and Friday night while visiting a friend.....

23 lbs is a lofty goal for one month, especially if you're not one of the much bigger guys. Good luck!..

Have you tried that new Bud select 55? It's only 55 calories per 12oz, and it's really not too bad. I tried it over the TG holiday, and thought it was pretty good. Throw a lime slice in and pretend it's a Corona..

Nice pic radsdad, I did not even recognize you!.

They don't have that in NJ - land of the pork roll/taylor ham.

They do have mgd64 (and becks light is 64) but best to just stay away!!!!!!!!!!.

Anyhow, bond, i'm in the same boat as you. went to see my dad in florida. we did golf and I got some exercise, but I ate/drank even tho I brought Nutrisystem with me. I knew it would happen but somehow it was a wash..

I am going to jump in. I am shooting for a 10lb loss by the New Year. That would put me at 214. I like the accountability of the boards to keep me in check. I need it! Now if I could only get myself to the gym......

I like that! And I totally agree, the few times I've wondered off track and been less then 100% committed to NS, I've stayed off the site. Posting about my own trials and tribulations, plus reading about others', is very motivational. My birthday is Friday and I'm really pushing to give myself a weight of 185lbs as a gift!..

Well getting close to new years goal allready I'm at 270.8 need to lose 10 more for new years goal, I know I can do it!..

I am sure this answer is somewhere on these boards, but I have questions about a 100% day. Does that mean eating only Nutrisystem foods, or eating based on the planner? Can I be 100% if I got out to eat, but eat within my means? Any info or direction would be appreciated...

I'm not sure it's ever been officially defined, but my interpretation is 100% On Plan - which includes the add-ins per the planner. Not sure about eating out using non-NS entres. I've never eaten out in a way that I consider "on-plan". LOL. 100% may mean slightly different things to each of us, but it basically means following the program with no deviations..

I always thought of it as being on plan-eating Nutrisystem foods and the add-ins and drinking the water or coming close...hence anything that you are not supposed to eat/drink, you have not.

Frickin pizza party at work today and guess what, I did not have 1 damn piece. ate fruit salad and the lunchtime granola bar - I gotta leave the building now since there are leftovers (and since I am a cheap bastard and gave them $6 for the pizza - it is diggin into my soul)..

Everybody is doing great against their goals, keep it up..

My progress so far:.

I'm doing this great strength building program that is working great so far. After several warm up sets for each exercise I do 3 sets of 5 reps, (except deadlifts which is only one set). The objective is to increase the amount of weight each session, even if only by 5 pounds..

Today, in my work sets I did Squat 195x5, 195x5, 205x5, Bench Press, 180x5, 180x5, 185x5, and Deadlift 235x5. I think I'm looking good to make my New Year's goals...

That's a HUGE NSV!!!.

Let it go man. Paying for pizza and not eating any is close to sainthood...

IMHO, yes. As long as you followed the Nutrisystem dining out guidelines, then I say yes. A big part of this journey which is mostly overlook by Nutrisystem is the real world. We need to change our behavior for life. Look at the I8NY thread. Countless losers have gained it all back and then some.

So if we can order grilled chicken instead of a burger at a restaurant, then we not only have followed plan 100%, we have made a change. It's easier to follow the plan 100% with out any temptations. Lock ourselves in the house until we hit goal. But that doesn't help one iota when the real world happens..

Every meal we eat out and successfully follow the Nutrisystem guidelines is a win...

Thanks for the opinions and feedback on the 100% thing, that makes a lot of sense. I have made choices such as the chicken instead of the burger so that is a big change. It makes me feel better and not as worried about going out this Holiday season. I just need to make good choices/changes...

"frickin pizza party at work today and guess what, I did not have 1 damn piece".

Napoleon you are a stronger man than I...

Guess what, there were two pies left, so I took 4 pieces, threw them in a bag - went to the jeep and....put them way in the back so I would not eat them. gave them to my kids. ha! I got my 6 bucks worth after all! not even a nibble. plus a Nutrisystem dinner and some veggies - booya! look out jan 1..
