Got a question... Does anybody know some drink Medifast recipes? Looking forward for any response. Another question on my mind: Well I told a few people at work. (Had to as I am the manager and would be odd if I just disappeared). My bosses reaction was one of shock, but she wished me luck. One of my employees begged me not to do it "because everyone gets sick!".

But the end of the shift she had came around and wished me lots of success and said she would be praying for me..

Anyway it was just a shocker to have that first initial reaction and to see the look on their faces as if I wanted to work at it then I could lose the weight..

I have been exposed to prejudice all my life because of my weight and if I was doing.

Weight watchers.

They wouldn't think anything about it. I don't understand..

Yup, however you might want to make sure and wait for another member here to confirm it as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you give a call to the Medifast guys because they can give you help better...

I too did this I waited until one month before.

Surgery.

To tell my bosses. and then asked for privacy until the.

Surgery.

Was done as I knew that all the reactions would be negative..

And I had had it with negative..

Its usually from people who never had more than 10 to 30 pds to lose :) you know the ones who think the way you should live it's their way and for their amount of weight. LOL.

They don't get it.

And I also got the oh you will be sick a lot..

Well you know I wasn't sick a lot. and I take care to follow the orders and take my vitamins and the.

Calcium.

Which I did have an issue with but I am ok now I take it liquid form. And I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I felt nauseous. Only a few times when I had too much mayo, and if I had to do this again I WOULD. in a heartbeat..

Don't let them get you down. You will be very pleased with yourself when all is said and done. :)..

I think our taking this action puts weight loss in the face of many who need to lose a few lbs., themselves. Some don't want to work at it, some would NEVER consider (or maybe don't need GBS or other.

Surgery.

). Still as we succeed, and are cautious of what we eat, those who we've had eating/social relationships with can feel uncertain how to be with us...can we still be fun? Can they still eat what they use to or want to and not feel guilty or judged by you?.

Coworkers and loved ones may have concerns for our safety (as you experienced); and while they may mean well, some may be discouragers, and we have to be on the alert for that. It can be shocking and upsetting to us But as others have said, this is a decision you have made for your own health and well-being. Keep that in mind..

I finally stopped telling people about it before I had my.

Surgery.

If I heard one more "you are taking the easy way out" or "why don't you just Medifast diet and exercise" I was going to choke someone out! Haha. Gee thanks people...cuz I hadn't already tried either of those like 400,000 times, right?.

As soon as I had my.

Surgery.

And was starting to see the immeadiate health results I started telling everyone. I have no shame about having gbs...I will stand up and shout it from the rooftops. I have lost 80 pounds since the 1st of july and 66 pounds since.

Surgery.

On july 21st. I could have NEVER done that on my own. Anyone who doesn't approve or agree with my decision can frankly kiss my shrinking ass!..

I have only had positive responses, except for one little mountain woman, who, of course knew people, who knew people....yada, yada!.

The response I recommend is:.

"If I told you I had cancer, would you tell me not to have treatment, because people die from cancer all the time?".

Well this is my disease, and my treatment, and people die from obesity every day!"..

Don't worry about what other people say. I'm sure you have researched this and know what you are getting into. This is for YOU!.

I told an ex-boyfriend that I was having the.

Surgery.

And he got mad at me...didn't understand why I would do that. I think he was just pissed b/c he knows I'd never give his sorry butt a second glance in the future! LOL.

Congrats on your decision to change your life!!!..
