Quick question: Does anyone know a good cheap iPage web host that provides video streaming? Looking forward for any comment. Second question.. I want to get rid of the broken image that appears next to the text that says "lets see what we have here". This is when you have clicked on one of the categories..

I cant find the relevant piece of code anywhere to remove it..

Does anybody know how to do this?.

Thanks.

Lucy..

The answer is Yes, although you might want to make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm this as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you e-mail the iPage guys because they can give you help better...

Yes it sounds the same to me. I notice that the alt tag of the image automatically changes to correspond to the heading text. Its as thought the image file is automaitcally generated by the code but the image dosnt even exist..

Cant suss it out...

Have you found the name of the original image for the Lets See What We Have Here screen?..

I am fairly new here but willing to offer this without promises..

Find the following in the index.php.

<td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES'table_background_default.gif'.

And add 2 forward slashes to remark-out as follows.

<td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php //echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES'table_background_default.gif'.

Good luck..

Try to set in administration side.

Configuration =>Images=>Image Required=false.

In index.php.

// Get the right image for the top-right.

   $image = DIR_WS_IMAGES'table_background_list.gif';.

   if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['manufacturers_id'])) {.

     $image = tep_db_query("select manufacturers_image from "TABLE_MANUFACTURERS" where manufacturers_id = '"(int)$HTTP_GET_VARS['manufacturers_id']"'");.

     $image = tep_db_fetch_array($image);.

     $image = $image['manufacturers_image'];.

   } elseif ($current_category_id) {.

     $image = tep_db_query("select categories_image from "TABLE_CATEGORIES" where categories_id = '"(int)$current_category_id"'");.

     $image = tep_db_fetch_array($image);.

     $image = $image['categories_image'];.

   }.

?>.

           <td align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES$image, HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>.

         </tr>.

       </table></td>.

This is part of code for Caategories images affect on many images.

As categories, manufacturers, subcategories...

I dont understand exactly. I have edited my database so that all the fields for category_table are NULL value. I set the Admin>Images> Require Image to false. But now I lose my "buy now" buttons..

So now I systematically and manually edited the database table OSC_CATEGORIES.

I replaced all the null values with the table_background_default.gif and I set all subcategory images to blank.gif (a custom made gif 32x32pixels which is blank because I dont want any category or sub category images). This fixed the broken link issue. But I still can't set my Images>Require Image setting to false without losing my header gifs including the replacement oscommerce.gif and those my account , cart contents and check out gifs in the top right hand corner. I can't find the files that deal with these...

This worked until I added my first sub category. For some reason when I add a subcategory to an existing category or I add a main level category the images get broken again. No Idea!..

Oh for the mother of God please someone reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

When you first go to your catalog the image appears right?.

But when you go to a category the image for the category should or should not appear? I have mine set to require images and this causes that XBOX to appear for each category same problem? Also when I set my image required setting to false the top banner disappears, just curious to know if we share the same problem?.

PS Work around. I made a blank.gif 57x40 and added it to each category. I got pissed off and deleted the whole iPage site and then re-installed the whole thing because some other muchups happened through some kind of corruption with my FTP tool it wasnt good at auto switching between BINARY and ASCI modes, just the same my link is broken and I also need to know what file is default for this...
