First question I have is Does anyone know how to get the adds off of your iPage web page? Thanks in advance for any response. Another question... How can I move my mysite.com/catalog page to my mysite.com/index.html page?.

Thanks..

The answer is Yes, however you might want to make sure and wait for someone else here to confirm my answer as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you email the iPage guys because they can answer your iPage question better...

300+ posts 99% of them deal with users not searching or really trying. You can poke around and see most of my posts are in fact helpful. When a post such as yours has so many topics I can not do the search for you as I get pages and pages instead of being able to point you to a single thread that was buried somplace. But once again I found a thread that will make this is about as simple as it is going to get.

I read that post. They change subject in the middle of it to "google search"..

Anyway, what it doesn't tell me is what files I have to add where. Do I just put everything on root instead of /catalog? Even the adm files?.

I just don't want to mess it up. I wasn't asking you (or anyone) to do a search for me, I am capable of searching, thank you. But I am really new to this whole OSC thing, and not much of what makes sense to other posters make sense to me...

No problem at all as I will reply over and over till you are comfortable with doing the move.

And yes I find it very rude when someone starts asking other questions within someone elses thread as things get off topic and make searches that more difficult..

The best explanation I can give is to move all the files in.

Catalog/.

Down 1 level to the root. Then re-run the install program. Make sure you.

Uncheck.

The populate database option during the reconfiguration..

So your folders will look something like this:.

Html/.

Html/includes.

Html/admin/.

...etc....

Then just fill out the required information..

While I like the idea of what you and others want to do I personaly like to keep things within a structure. I.E. Store is in a store folder, chat in a chat folder, misc stuff in a misc folder, etc This just makes it easier when things are sorted. I just use a simple intro page as my index file that auto refreshes to the store in x amount of seconds..

Hope this clarifies things for you.....

Thank you..

I'll try and let you know if I have any problems..

I thought of just making a frontpage to the store, but I found that pointless since all I use the iPage site for is the catalog itself..

Thanks again,..

We do to just use a pretty Flash image and sound for an intro..

Feel free to PM me if I loose this thread...

I have searched (thanks for not being helpful), but I can't make sense of it..

Some posts say to move the catalog to the root folder - but what files? Some posts say to edit configure.php. Some posts say to redirect the file..

WHAT SHOULD I DO???..
