Yep, but... you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else here to confirm this as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you call the iPage guys because they can give you an answer better...
Sockstat | grep mysql.
Mysql mysqld 743 3 tcp4 *:3306 *.
Mysql mysqld 743 4 stream /tmp/mysql.sock.
Mysql mysqld 743 22 stream /tmp/mysql.sock.
As you see. Everythink is ok..
As example that everithink is working I just wroted a simple php script.
$link_id= mysql_connect($hostname, $username, $password) or die('Cannot connect to mysql!');.
Mysql_select_db($db_name, $link_id) or die('Cannot connect to table!');.
$query="insert into $table values ('hello','world');";.
Mysql_query($query, $link_id) or die('Cannot write to table!');.
Mysql_close($link_id) or die('Cannot close connection!');.
>mysql -u root -p.
Mysql>select * from mytable;.
|hello |world |.
2 rows in set (0.01 sec).
Has the configure.php file been written to, are errors silent on your server?.
If you mean php.ini so.
Error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE.
Display_errors = On.

DId you also change the configure files to reflect the changes?..
Before installation I set chmod 777 ./includes/configure.php and ./admin/includes/configure.php and after installation I changed it back to 644. Is any more configure files on osCommerce? I didnt find.....
The CHMODS will not stop your iPage site from showing.
You said ./shop/catalog/install i've renamed after installation..
Did you change the paths in your.
Catalog / includes / configure.php.
Catalog / admin / includes / configure.php.
If you installed to shop / catalog etc then this is where the config file look for the store. if you renamed them after install was complete then it looking in the wrong place.
For what? After installation I should remove install directory. There is no any lines about installation dirrectory in configure.php files, and as I understand shouldn't be. Sorry if I clearly don't understand php language and reading files as c/c++ programmer. I just checked my installation:.
As I see in sql dump (oscommerce.sql) there is line with creating table administrators;.
So using mysql console.
Mysql>select * from administrators;.
And I can see table with LINES I fill installation time..
Installation was successfull...
First of all I would like to say sorry for my english, but anyway I hope it will be read able..
Im trying to install OsCommerce downloaded from.
To my FreeBSD 7.0 server (apache13 + php 4.4.7 with all extensions needed for installation + mySQL 4)..
1. I've created mysql user and database for new installation:.
Mysql>create database shop;.
Mysql>grant all privileges on shop to shop@localhost identified by '1';.
2. I've changed chmod 777 for ./includes/configure.php and ./admin/includes/configure.php.
3. I've typed.
Using FireFox (when I tryed to write just.
- nothing happened).
4. I've gone thrue installation (4 steps) and finished successful..
5. I've pressed catalog button or Administration Tool button, but it loaded empty pages..
Ofcourse I changed back chmod for both configure.php files (644) and renamed install directory..
What I done wrong? What chmod should be? (i've done 644 to all files exept ./images, ./admin, ./admin/backups and ./admin/images/graphs).
Thx for reading and help!.
