The answer is Yes, however you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else to confirm this as I am unsure of myself. Better yet, why don't you contact the iPage guys because they can answer your iPage question better...
Yes, that does make sense. I'll give it a try this afternoon..
Thanks for the help!..
I got it installed and it works.
Now I just need to learn how to set it up..
Thanks again for the help..
I suggest you visit the link in my siganture callecd OSCOMMERCE ROADMAP FOR NEWBIES read through the whole thread, because theres another post on there with a bunch more links to other helpful links.....
I will do that next, thanks for all the help!..
I've read through some of the installation instructions and I have a few questions..
We have a web iPage site up and running but with no online purchasing.. We are ready to try the OS Commerce but I don't want to take my iPage site down until I've had a chance to play with and get a store completely set up..
OS Commerce can be automatically installed by Cpanel.
Do I have it install to a sub iPage domain or do I let it create a directory to install to?.
Can I set this up without messing up my existing site?.
How do I access it once it's installed?.
Sorry about the novice questions..
Thanks in advance for any help..
Hi, you should be able to install OSC into a folder claaed catalog (providing you don't already have one.
You can access this folder at any time by going to www.yoursite.com/catalog/index.php.
Only you will know it's there (you could even password protect the folder to keep it safe to start).
Then once ready to go live, remove the password and create a subdomain for your store to direct to that folder.
So what you would have is something like.
Does that make sense?.
