Ye, but... you might want to make sure and wait for another member to confirm it as I am not completely sure. Better yet, why don't you give a call to the iPage guys because they can answer your iPage question better...
I tried that, but I didn't work, something within the file must have changed during the install...
DOH! Yep your both correct, I found the backup in the wrong directory... oops!.
Right now, one more question? Why is it ever time I try and alter the TEXT_MAIN part of this file it screws up everything else? I tried just over-writing the defult text but it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing this wrong?..
Well, you have to do it right. For example, if the text contains any apostrophes, you have to preface them with a backslash. The define is creating a PHP string constant that is echoed into the HTML output. So it should be valid HTML with the apostrophes escaped as above..
If this doesn't help, post the define here and perhaps we'll spot something. Also tell us what "doesn't work" (what goes wrong?)..
Thanks again Steve for the reply. I did eventually get it working but I'm not quite sure what went wrong with the first couple of attempts. Probably just trying to do it in a hurry again and caused a typo somewhere (maybe an apostrophe or something like you say).
Anyway, sorry for all the newbie questions. I really shouldn't give in so easily!..
Hi folks, just been trying to setup my first OSCommerce site. Problem is though, I've accidently deleted a file which I shouldn't have and I really don't want to do a re-install so I was wondering if anyone would like to e-mail me an unmodified copy of....
Or if anyone knows an easy way to recover this?..
Download a copy of osc to a spare directory and get the file from there - keep the spare directory and contents for future such issues..
