Big Brown Box came yesterday, as did the first grocery shopping trip. First weigh in is 213 pounds this morning, and we are officially off and running with NutriSystem: The Sequel. Goal weight is 160 pounds for a sequel weight loss goal of 53 pounds and 70 pounds overall if you include the first go around where I started at 230...

I'm with you Haggis, I've updated my tickers and am back on track. Let's see where this takes us...

Alright men! I hope you had a good, on track, healthy day yesterday!.

Today is a new day and it's time to make wise decisions about your eating. Tomorrow is Memorial Day and many of us on these boards will make flat out stupid decisions and not even care about it. That's fine if that's the way you want to be..

If, however, you want to be victorious over your eating, then man up and make the decision TODAY to eat on plan tomorrow. You'll be at a cookout, and if you don't plan ahead you're going to screw up. So what if you have to bring your Nutrisystem food with you or eat it ahead of time. That's the price you have to pay, Tubby, because you let yourself go for so long. If you wanted to eat crap tomorrow you should have thought about that all those years you were stuffing your pie hole with junk..

Now is the day of reckoning between you and your fat. No cheats today, no cheats tomorrow, no cheats ever! Get your mouth under control men! TODAY is the day of YOUR victory over your weak willpower! Control your eating, control your life!..

Well said! I'm standing right behind you Haggis, I gotcha back. I know, you know, that we know, that you know how. I'm not going to wish you good luck cause luck has nothing to do with it. Forward March!.

I've been back on plan 100% for little more than a week. I'm just now passing that initial 'cleanse' period. By Monday or Tuesday I should be able to take an.

Scale number, depending of course on 'perfect storm'..

Perfect Storm: The perfect time to weigh. First thing in the morning before I eat or drink anything and after I take a dump...

Well I have had more fiber in the past two days than the entire past year, so I'm expecting big "things" in the days to come...

Haggis, reading your blog, I see your back exercising very heavily - several of the guys here that were stalled worked at increasing their calories with protein drinks and were able to lose steadily again. Either lower your exercising (yes exercise is fantastic and a great help) or get very serious at finding the calories that will give you NO MORE than a 1000 kcal deficit. If you have a higher deficit your body will NOT allow you to lose - we've all read that too many times..

I really want us all to be successful - there is a fellow that is a former seal that works for my major client. He's very fit and very fat - works with a personal trainer and eats very light - lifts heavy does cardio etc. etc. The frustration is all over these boards with people who exercise diligently and stick to the plan and can't lose weight. Then there are those like Gordon and Ben who've upped their calories and started losing again..

I know we can find the lifestyle we can enjoy and that will enable us to KEEP the weight off..

Let's get er done!..

I'll keep that in mind. I haven't been to the gym since the BBB came, but when I do, I'm going to consider adding a protein shake or two into the mix. I'm going to let it ride for a couple of weeks first, but great advice...

It's Monday the 25th and I am giving up on a failed maintainence plan and going back to the 100% plan. Today's challenge includes drinking 120 oz of water. I'm starting at 186 and headed to 170. I was at 238 in 2006 and lost 20 on my own over two years. I started Nutrisystem at 218 in late March 2008. I'm glad I'm doing it ....

I keep telling myself.

It's time to make the chart move in the other direction...

It's a little intimidating seeing all of you back on the system after you lost all of that weight. What caused this problem and how do you and I avoid it when we get back down?..

Logic my dear RSettin. If you get to your goal weight (which I did not) and you do not continue to follow the plan, you will get fat again. Pretty simple actually..

You don't lose all the weight and then magically you're impervious to eating crap and gaining weight. It's a lifetime struggle. You either make it work, or it works you...

Good Move, Better! Good to get a grip before the trip gets longer. You've done a good job of keeping from really gaining. Heck, a 10lb bounce is not too bad at all. A short 100% trip should do ya. I figure I'm a lifer here. It works, I like it, and I have very low expectations of my ability to maintain left to my own devices.

And you know what, that's not a bad way of looking at it either. Back in the day there was a big conversation about how guys didn't want to do this forever, etc, but I say if you like the food and you're having success with it, why not? I mean it's pretty convenient having all that food shipped to you, and it can actually save you money. I see no reason to not make this a lifetime deal...

Thanks Haggis. I am looking forward to goal, not to get off NS, but to scale back to a 5 day/week system. That's my plan, anyway. Like you said, I see no reason not to do it that way..

Thanks for the encouragement. Your chart is really impressive! Straight down. My move from 179 to 185 was partially due to some new medication, which I have since stopped. The 176 to 179 was all my doing. It's hard to get the chart moving again, but it will...

My chart is starting to wobble at the end here. Since I started muscle-building type of exercises and cut way back on cardio, I've had 2 weeks of no loss. No worries. I figure even if my weight stays the same, but I add muscle, there must be fat coming off somewhere. So, as much as I'd LIKE a straight line to the goal, I'm ok with it tapering off as I approach it..

You'll see yours turn down now that you're back on plan. You're one of the big inspirators around there..

Back to the OP: How are you doing, Haggis? Got your first week back under the garter yet? It's fun to have you around again..

Well, I started Saturday morning at 215 pounds. When I weighed in this morning I was at 208 pounds. So 7 pounds in 5 days...yeah, I'd say it's going pretty well...
