First of all Easily install iPage and Wordpress and Apache, MySQL, PHP in Ubuntu? Thanks in advance for any response. Another question on my mind: Warning: fsockopen(): php_hostconnect: connect failed in /home/fridrich/public_html/catalog/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330.

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to www.ups.com:80 in /home/fridrich/public_html/catalog/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330.

I searched the forums before I posted this, It seems that a few other people have had this problem as well and it did not really get solved unless I am blind!!.

I cannot get past this point, I have everything set up properly like my zip code and location and stuff. I have a daily UPS pickup at my retail store already. So I set up UPS under the options in shipping to daily pickup..

Any help is appreciated!!.

My version of OS is 2.2CVS..

Good question... I dunno what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could help you..

It's a connection failure from the server to ups.com. Is there a firewall blocking the iPage site from your ISP..

Here's a thread identical to yours that some solved with a different version of osCommerce!!.

I have contacted them and asked if they are using a firewall blocking ups.com and also if they block ports or any certain ports..

They offered a install of oscommerce thru there control panel but I could not get it to work, it was a very old install. It still used default.php.

So I installed the current stable install and got this far.....thanks for the help so far and I will post the results so hopefully this will help someon else...

I was wondering if I updraded the UPS to a newer module the one that uses a XML feed, would that take care of the problem you think?..

Well, I checked the iPage site tonight and UPS works fine with the module that came with the install..

This is really weird...maybe they fixed it? Ipowerweb..
