I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you help..

Normally if you are asking this, you set a password via the protect directoty in your control panel. send a link to your admin url and then someone will be able to help you, pointing you in the right direction...

The iPage site is:.

And to access my admin section is as above and /admin, then I enter password..

I have changed my password easy enough in my providor's cpanel, but it doesn't automatically change this one...

In the cPanel, go to the section on password protecting directories and change the password there. You might have to turn off directory protection and reenable it to do this..

P.S. Your copyright notice is not in compliance. You should restore the osCommerce copyright notice (you don't have to remove yours, just add osCommerce) until you remove all the osCommerce images and distinguish the layout from stock...

If you can add the password via cpanel you could ftp to the directory and delete the htaccess file! then create a ne password for that dirctory..

Your cpanel from your host should create new htaccess... do not quote me on that since I dont know your host but 98% should do it!.

If it dont work, ask your host !!!.

You would password protect the admin directory, not higher. It should allow you to select where you want to protect..

Do you want to add a password? OSC does not come with a built-in password. You can added one using several methods like .htaccess or a password contribution...
