Quick question... Free iPage web hosting that lets you upload custom web pages? Thanks for any answer. Another question on my mind: I've got a new box set up on every page called newsletter_box. In the box is text saying "Sign up for our weekly newsletter". What I want is a mailto: link for that text. Everytime I try to put it in the box disappears, and I'm wondering since I have a ? in my mailto link, is that causing problems?.

The link should read:.

Mailto:/catalog/.

And the newsletter box is in the right column..

I should mention that at one point I did have this working and then during one of my backups, I lost it..

Thanks.

Terry.

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can answer it..

You could use the newsletter subcribe contribution or you could break out of php and use html for the link then if need break back into php or you could use script to write the section of code using document.write.

Post the codes for the box for an ammendment.

<?php.

$info_box_contents[] = array('text' => 'Newsletter Box');.

New infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, false, false);.

$info_box_contents[] = array('text' => 'Sign up for our weekly newsletter here');.

New infoBox($info_box_contents);.

You can do this.

<?php.

/*.

$Id: information.php,v 1.6 2003/02/10 22:31:00 hpdl Exp $.

OsCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions.

Http://www.oscommerce.com.

Copyright 2003 osCommerce.

*/.

?>.

<! information //>.

<tr>.

<td>.

<?php.

$info_box_contents = array();.

$info_box_contents[] = array('text' => 'Newsletter Box');.

New infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, false, false);.

$info_box_contents = array();.

$info_box_contents[] = array('text' => 'Sign up for our weekly newsletter here <a href="'NEWSLETTER_MAIL_NAME'">Newsletter Subscription</a>');.

New infoBox($info_box_contents);.

?>.

</td>.

</tr>.

<! information_eof //>.

Then in catalog/includes/languages/english.php add this.

// mailbox box text in includes/boxes/mailbox.php.

Define('NEWSLETTER_MAIL_NAME', 'mailto:?subject=subscribe">Newsletter Subscription</a>');.

New infoBox($info_box_contents);.

?>.

</td>.

</tr>.

<! information_eof //>.

You can use scripting as stated before to spam bust the address using document.write..

I haven't had a response to this, but I have had a concern about spam. I'll deal with that later, but I do want to put a mailto link in that box..

Anyone, please?..
