Got a question... Has anyone been successful with the Medifast Diet? Many thanks for any comment. Another question I got... Other topics will be discussed that may not be appropriate for the easily offended..

Please discontinue reading Tough Love threads if they are going to cause you to become upset..

Medifast is a wonderful program with many different types of support and a fabulous community. We understand that everyone is an adult and this is not a "mean" group. For some of us, we thrive on this program if we have a place where we are held accountable, where we commit to the program 100% and where we have a place to chat with others who feel the same..

What we believe:1. Cheating on Medifast is NOT a strategy to get us out of our fat suits.

2. The only way for us to learn about our problems with food is to take the word "choice" out of the equation when it comes to Medifast. Our only "choice" is 5 packets and 1 weighed and measured lean and green a day.

3. We look to those who have been successful with this strategy to continuously remind us about why this way, for us, is the way to go.

4. We believe that, even though we are completely committed, knowing that we have a group that holds us accountable for our actions is both useful and important.

We commit to:1. Remove the word "choice" from our vocabularies.

2. Follow the Medifast plan as written, including transition and maintenance.

3. Tell our "inner brat" to shut the H-E-** up and quiet him or her through abstinence from off plan foods.

4. Give and receive tough love without complaining or calling each other "mean".

5. Cheerlead fellow group members as they follow the path to thinness.

6. Make Medifast the LAST diet we ever go on.

7. Check in with the group as often as our schedule reasonably allows.

8. Be honest with ourselves and our Medifast family and to stay 100% OP at all times. We also swear that WHEN (not if) we are having a tough time and feel like we may eat SLUDGE, to come to our Medifast family first and ask for support and help to get us through the struggle..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could assist you..

Good morning Karen and thanks for the coffee...

Haven't been on much lately.. need to catch up...It's so hard to get on during the day and then at night there are too many posts to read. Hopefully I can pop on a bit at work today.. Anyway, staying OP but TOM arriving soon so I am staying of the scales....

Going to drive so to school then jumping on elliptical.. be back later.. I hope.

Morning Karen thanks for the coffee..

Morning Cindy..

Today after waiting patiently (LOL) I made it to 185 which puts me at 50 lbs exactly and moved to merely overweight. Now I amp up my exercise..

Not much but nap and housework on my agenda today. Have a good one!..

Morning! Thanks for the start up and coffee, Karen!.

6am meeting canceled for today! Woot. I get to relax..

Well... for an hour...

Congrats Anne on hitting the 50lb mark.. Woo hoo.

Hubby wet on elliptical while I drove my son to school... Now I have to wait.. At least he doesn't stay on long but will definitely put a wrench in my plans... He's so good for that..

Thanks for getting us started Karen. And that does sound fun! My job does a lot of interesting stuff so I get opportunities to learn about neat technologies too..

Yay Anna you made it to 50! That has to be an awesome feeling and a big motivator to hang in there..

Hi to everyone else and everyone on their way in...

Good morning, Tough Lovelies! Hey, when did I start taking orders for banners! Just kidding! I will try to get those do the requesters today!.

I'm surprisingly not too sore today after last night's gym time. On a lower body night, I used to move a total of about 20,000 pounds. Last night I moved 12,000 and change. Not bad for my first time back. I was happy with what I did considering my low calorie intake..

Thanks for the coffee and I'll see you all at the office!..

Morning, TLers! A whole week at home... I hardly know what to do with myself! I get to check in here and everything!.

Hey, it could be worse, so I shouldn't be complaining. One of my co-workers was in Japan when the quake and tsunami hit, and it took him a week to get home - a long, scary week. I guess my jaunts around the country don't amount to much in comparison...

ANNA!! Congrats on the big 5-0!!.

Here's your happy dance..

Morning TL'ers!.

Thanks for the coffee this morning. I needed it. Weight is holding steady - sigh. But I'm planing an "all drink" day today for my Medifast products..

Freya - I agree, poop never weighs as much as we hope. I always figure I could lose a pound after some quality bathroom time, but unbelieveably I've actually seen the scale jump UP after I've gone to the bathroom. No rhyme or reason to it. However, I do have a colonoscopy scheduled in April, so that should make a difference for sure!!.

Penny - thanks so much for the special order banner. I LOVE IT!! Glad you're enjoying your bodybugg so much. It is inspiring me to get my son's (which he no longer uses) activated. We'll see..

Steph - so glad you get a week at home. Hope you get to have some FUN! I always like to think of all those things we only seem to do when people are in from out of town - and do them for myself. I don't know where you live, but here, everything is in bloom and it is amazing. I would certainly spend the extra money on some gas and take a nice drive somewhere. I love to do that..

Gotta get to work. HUGS!!..

Congrats Anna- Glad I finally saw your name, now I see it's in your sig! where have I been. 50 lbs is AWESOME!!!.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!.

Penny- good job on the banners! I like the green and can't wait to see the purple.

Makes this place look great- not that it didn't before..

Well I still have to work - but I get to eat dinner with DH every night, and sleep in my own bed, and run with my dog. It's such a pleasure to be home!..

Morning TLers..

Back from two days in Disneyland. Had a great time. Stayed totally OP (of course). The little one enjoyed his birthday. Now it's back to the grindstone..

Penny - love the new colorful banners. If you do take requests, I will go with the previously requested purple..

Have to go get ready. Taking bday sludge to daycare for the child. Need to pack it up..

Happy Tuesday. I will check in later...

Good morning everyone! Congratulations to Anna! You are such an inspiration!.

After the scale going up .2 yesterday, it went down .6 today! I'm now 149.8! In the 140s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Good morning to everyone that follows!..

Morning, at least I assume it is. Yep. Just caught a glimpse of the window in the conference room and it's definitely morning. (It was dark when I got here). SO sleepy this morning. And still pretty stinking sore.

Guess I'll hit the CA dvd again when I get home today..

Penny - I really do love all the colored banners. Really brightens up the place! Wish they all had "100% Works" on them, but I am just happy with my pretty Caribbean blue.

Speaking of which....173/9/21.

Anna - WOOT on the big 50!!!.

Sunny - WTG for staying OP at Disney. Easier than people think, isn't it..

Steph - Glad you're home for a while. There really is nothing quite like waking up in your own bed every day..

Waving to everyone. Waiting for the caffeine to kick in. 4 more days then I can sleep in all I want!..

Good Morning!.

Today is going to be a beautiful day in Huntsville Alabama! If all goes well, we will see an end to our sewer/septic woes...and get back to normal around here. (Well, normal plumbing-wise, at least.).

I'm going to have a busy day once the plumber I probably will miss a lot of today's thread (as I did yesterday)..

I hope everyone has a great OP day!..

De, I agree. It should be quiet here this morning, so I will make the banner, including the 100% Works Tagline in every imaginable color! He he!..

Morning, everyone! On my second cuppa, but the caffeine hasn't kicked in yet. Had strange dreams about being some sort of announcer for the new Speaker of the House...totally out there! I'm officially calling myself a nutcase this week!.

Nice little victory this morning: I slid my way into the 130s at 139.5 lbs. Happy, happy! Been a long time since I've seen that, before trying for kiddos and having to take lots of hormones in the process (the official turning point in my weight was Clomid....

Hate that stuff!) That's still somewhat heavy for me, as I'm a shortie at 5'2" with a small frame (but, unfortunately for me, too well-endowed for a shortie, IYKWIM!) but I'm inching up on a healthy weight! From there, we'll see if my goal weight is a possibility for me. I think it is but we'll was my wedding weight from 16 years ago, after all! Medifast set it for me and I thought it was funny and went with it!.

Yeah Anna on 50 lbs! You are my hero! I'm doing the happy dance for you!.

Everyone have a great spring day today! Got to start teaching my kids, whether or not the caffeine has kicked in!..

You have NO idea!.

Penny - You are the bestest!!! I'm keeping all the different color banner codes in a word document, so that I can change my color depending on my mood. hehe.

Pittie - Yay on finally getting your septic woes taken care of. I can't even imagine what that has been like for you. After reading your posts, I started thinking that the giant AZ water roaches that come out of the drains weren't all that bad. Then I regained my senses. lol..

Yeah, Pittie! I'm so happy for you! I cannot even imagine what you've had to deal with!..

I'm getting much faster at this....

Here are all the colors I could grab that looked okay. All of these have toe "100% Works" Tagline..

I have a little NSV of my own today. I have this great gray wool double-breasted blazer that I love. It's form-fitting, and it doesn't have a bit of stretch in it, so I have to be a certain size, or smaller, to even consider wearing it. Nothing worse than a too-tight jacket. When I purged my closet last fall and gave my sister most of my 6s and 8s, I kept this jacket. It fits well enough for me to be wearing it today - even with my BodyBugg!..

YAY Penny- I love that feeling, your head will be a little higher today.

Pittie I am really hoping that your sewer/septic woes are completely over today- can't imagine what you are going through..

WTG Jennifer- in the 130's congrats!..

Good morning!!!! I'm late, I know - I'm so sorry - I overslept. Actually, I didn't sleep last night AT ALL - so I called in sick today and slept from around 5 am to 10:30 - I feel so much better!.

Karen, thank you so much for the coffee, it's delicious!.

Morning Cindy! Anna - GREAT JOB getting into the 50s!!!!.

Morning MT and Zoe!.

Steph - good catch, I totally missed that one - good chuckle!!!.

Morning TK, Bobbie and Cheri!!!!!.

Kris, CONGRATULATIONS on hitting the 140s!!!!! Jeez, what a great group of losers we are!.

Morning Pittiekisses - I am SO glad the problem is getting resolved!!!.

Good Morning Penny - thank you SO MUCH for the lovely colored banners!!!!! I'm loving the pink one!.

Hi Jennfer - WAY TO GO on hitting the 130s - now that's where I want to end up - so if YOU can do it....

Hello De!!!! Thinking about your soreness - at least the garden's doing better! I love that you have tortoises - I've never heard of that! I have a chipmunk, groundhog, 3 bunnies and 1, 244, 785 birds. And I love every single one of them..

Hello to all who follow - Freya, I hope your soreness is getting better! It's really a sight to see you and De hobbling around - shame I forgot the camera!.

Wishing everyone a fabulous OP day. WI is tomorrow, and I think it will be a good one.

Be back later,.

Morning TL'ers.

Finally home. Up and out of the house at 630 am. Two kids to school and the third one to the dr's for a physical. DD has grown 5 inches in two yrs. She is taller than me and her twin Bro..

Thanks for the much needed coffee. Errands to be done today..

#1 on my list FLAX SEED oil pills. Something else to get me moving..

Laundry, Girl Scouts, Bills etc........

More Coffee..

Have a great day...

Good morning! I'm here early - got to work an hour early. I told myself last night I could wake up at 6 (alarm set for 7:00). I woke up at 6. I have a paper I need to revise for school, which shouldn't take more than an hour, so now I've bought myself some extra time at work. Yay!.

I'm less sore today for sure. Hopefully De is too? She and I could maybe even set down our canes and chase each other at a trot. Slow trot...

Penny - Loving the banners. Aren't we all colorful now? Thanks for making them..

De - It really was easy to stay OP at Disney. The people are all so nice there. They will work with you. And I went prepared. When my DH and DS were eating Disney sludge, I had my Medifast food. And I really didn't even mind.

Today is my weigh in day. I am down another 2 lbs. Yay for T & M!!!.

Pittie - Glad you got your septic woes taken care of..

Anna - Great loss! 50 lbs! Woot!!!.

And Kris is in the 140's! Awesome!.

Penny - Yay for fitting into the blazer..

I didn't check in over the weekend. But I gather De and Freya are sore (related?) and there was talk of poop..

Hi to everyone already here, those here now, and those yet to come. And those who will join our group next week because they realize we rock!.

Alright, time to get to work. I'm having some hot cocoa and coffee. That should warm me up...

The tortoises aren't technically ours. They come with the house. Apparently, about 30 years ago, the original owner of the house picked up some baby desert tortoises from the desert before it was against the law to do so. Not exactly sure when it became illegal to remove a tortoise from it's natural habitat, but they have lived in our yard for so many years, this has BECOME their natural habitat and here they will remain until they die. They are pretty cool though. Much faster than I imagined and actually full of personality, which really surprised me.

I do know that my dogs love hanging out in the tunnels in the summer when it's so hot. We also have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a snake. Too many animals. hehe..

Oh Yeah- the other thing that is on my mind today- My DD Jordyn TURNS 18 today!!!! It seems unreal!!.

Cheri- 100% OP in Disney World!! Way to go- I am so glad I have such strong inspirations! You guys ROCK!.

Freya- glad to see your soreness is fading! I keep saying I need to work out again. I did P90X last summer and gained muscle and weight- made me MAD! Nothing like having all of this muscle with 20 lbs of fat over it. So I guess it's time to do something again..

Morning Michelle or should I say afternoon? Man I wish I could have slept in today- hope today is a good one for you.

Everyone else- have a great one!..

Good morning Tlers! Drinking coffee to wake myself up-I'm SO enjoying this lazy spring break.

Anna, congrats! 50 pounds gone is such a nice number to get to.

Penny, that's awesome that you fit into the blazer! Clothes NSVs are the bestest. And thanks for the new purple TL banner..

Here are some of my NSVs:.

My size 12 jeans are already getting baggy. I'm starting to see what people mean by having 2 week jeans. I'm going down in size much quicker now and I bet the 10s will fit soon. I can get them on and barely buttoned but I look like a sausage being squeezed into it's casing..

My sweet new leather jacket (1st leather jacket ever!) that I got at a clothing swap is already getting loose. I'm not bummed at all-there will be more leather jackets for me at goal..

A gal I hadn't seen in months literally had her jaw drop open when she saw me on Sunday. She was nearly speechless-and this is someone who doesn't shut up. "You've... you've lost..." Yep. I have indeed lost weight...

Sassy- I think we always post at the same time.

Congrats, mostly on the jaw dropping- LOVE IT!! Sorry about the leather jacket (but not really)!..

Ha! Thanks twin poster.

I was thinking about some much loved clothes that I have had to get rid of as I've lost weight. I realized that the reason I loved them so much was because they were one of the only things that looked good on me when I was a chunky monkey. Now that I'm a size 12 I can get more clothes that look good on me than my budget can handle!..

Thanks, Bobbie! Yes, it's fading. But you still won't catch me in a gym. I'm all for exercise for some purpose, but not quite at the structured workout point yet. I'm still okay with being "skinny fat." *laughing*.

Sassy: congrats on the shrinking!!!! Droopy butt to stuffed sausage - yup, that's how it goes. I didn't mind so much with the jeans, but it made me a little crazy when I'd shrink out of the belts I'd bought to hold up the pants...

Sassy, now is when you switch to stretchy fabrics and tight clothes only. If you're breaking into 10s, most of that you'll still be able to wear at goal if you pick the items right. Skirts out of stretchy fabrics, and buy them right on the edge of ridiculously tight - just wearable with one of your older larger shirts over them. Start buying all shirts tight too - you'll have to pair things in reverse - tight shirts with the larger pants so you're not showing off muffin top. Loose shirts with the tight skirts..

These items will be your comfy slightly-baggy stuff when you're at goal. But still, spend SLOWLY if you can. Once you're at goal you'll be even more excited to start buying fitted things that fit you like a glove, so save some budget. If you can...

Ha! Thanks Freya! Did you get out a drill to drill new holes in your belts?..

Bobbie-It's my husband's 33rd birthday today! My children are only 2 and 4 but I can already see how the time flies!.

And thanks Cheri and Melissa!..

Great advice! I've been shopping every day for the last three days and the only thing I've bought was two size 10 pairs of jeans to shrink into. I really don't like to complain about my shopping 'issue' because because it's a great issue to have, but dang, I have absolutely no clue what fits my new body and what looks good. And then I realized the other day that I'm moving through sizes quicker now that I'm out of plus sizes and I don't want to spend a lot of money if the things aren't gonna fit in two weeks. Great advice! I'm going to hit the mall today with this in mind...

Sassy as much as I LOATHE thrift stores I've taken to shopping there. A few here are nicer and more well kept than others so I go to those...

Ha! Would ya' look at that? My legs are indeed SORE...

You know what? I used to loathe thrift stores too. Now I'm totally a fan of consignment, and not horribly offended by thrift. The difference? Less fatness..

Plus-sized girls buy clothes that fit and don't make us vomit on ourselves. We hate shopping because even that is hard to come by. Then, we wear those clothes until they fall off us in shreds. There's never anything nice to end up in a thrift store at the tail end of this process..

Once you're into smaller sizes, though, there are a lot more options at the stores. Consignment is FUN AS HECK in a size 6 - rich skinny ladies buy things, never wear them, and dump them off at consignment stores in nice neighborhoods. It's like magic...

Sassy, one word: Leggings. They are the only thing that has lasted from size 12 to size 8..

I bought 4 pairs and a bunch of shirts to go over them. I am now at a stage where only 1 pair still fits, but they lasted awhile..

Freya, I know what you mean about belts. I went from never wearing belts, to now having belts that are too big. Sassy, I asked my husband to drill holes in the ones I have... lol.. I have a favorite pair of black pants that are a 10 and now too big. I am not giving them up.

I wonder if I can get them tailored to be smaller......

G'morning all!!.

Karen, thanks for getting us started!.

Cindy and Steph... um, yeah, I kinda wondered about him "wetting" on the elliptical myself!! LOL.

Anna... so VERY proud of you! (You must be taller than me... I have to get to 174 to be merely "overweight") That is AWESOME!.

Hi, Zoe!.

Penny, what exercise are you doing that you "move" a set number of pounds??? Color me confused..

Hi to Cheri, Bobbie, Kris, Jennifer, Pittie, Freya.

Penny... I think we all need a picture of said blazer... I bet it looks gorgeous!.

De, we inherited a desert tortoise from my MIL many years ago (he is now with BIL) we named Slick... he was an awesome addition to the family! Now we just have our adorable Olde English Bulldogge named Winston!.

Sassy, that had to be fun watching her jaw gape open!!!.

Staying steady at ticker... I think I go in bursts and fits, so I'm actually quite happy to see the scale just stay steady... especially with all the stress this past week. Have to go in to work today for a HIPAA/EMTALA meeting and if I see my boss I'm going to schedule some time to discuss the passive-aggressive coworker with her. Frankly, if she's doing it to me, she's doing it to other people, too. I can't hate my job...

Thought I was for sure going to get called in last night... even got a call at the beginning of noc shift warning me it was a strong possibility, so very happy to wake this morning with the phone not having rung!! Now if I can just get low-censused on tomorrow night's extra night shift life will be good!..

We have a great consignment store in town just like you described. Full of rich ladies cast off's. I'll take them. I get some great deals!..

Guess who is gonna go find consignment stores in nice areas of town this week??..

Freya I don't like them more b/c I'm OCD and like all my things lined up nice and neat by color and size. Although looking at the mess that is my house one would never guess this..

When I move to Cali I'm hoping to have much better shopping thrift and otherwise available. most of the people here with nice clothes are over 60 and that's not exactly how I dress..

OMG guys! You want consignment stores? Come to Scottsdale!! I swear there is one in every single strip mall you pass! Talk about rich thin women who throw stuff out! Shees. I don't shop much, because a) it's pointless right now as I have plenty of smaller sized clothes to fit in to, b) I'm flat broke.

, and c) I wear mostly jeans to work because the only shoes I can wear for long periods of time since my ankle surgery are tennis shoes or sandals as long as they have some kind of arch support like Earth Shoes. I have noticed that even dropping almost 10 lbs has made a huge difference in the pain in my feet and ankles, so am hoping that by the time the rest is gone, I will be able to wear some cuter shoes, although I doubt heels will ever be in my wardrobe again (not that I wore that many BEFORE surgery)...

Is it me?.

No, wait, it is both of us!.

I got rid of all my goal weight work clothes and bought bigger ones when I was last feeling defeated by my weight. Then I grew out of those and bought only about 5 things to wear for work. I'm swimming in those 5 ugly things and I'm back into the bigger set. And, luckily, that's getting to be too big now too. So I need to ditch all this mess and repurchase an entire work wardrobe at my goal size. (A wardrobe I've now tossed out 2 times! Ack!).

I'm very serious about keeping the weight off this time, and I'm not even going to let myself buy anything bigger than my goal size. I'm done with this up and down. ( My 30 stubborn pounds takes me through 4 full clothing sizes because I'm so petite.)..

Ella, I was doing a few different things last night. I did several sets of 150 pound leg presses (I used to do 300 lbs), 75 lb. ab crunches (stayed the same there), 50 lb. leg curls and leg extensions, and 50 lb. torso rotations. The gym was so packed with teenagers.

I love going with my husband, but if it stays so packed, I will likely find an excuse not to go. I told our friend at the front desk not to have any more membership drives...

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the coffee. It's my first official cup in here..

Slept in this morning (7am is REALLY sleeping in for me) because SOMEONE kept me up late with poop talk..I won't name her (Freya) because that would be rude..

Thrift stores...Anna, I have a REALLY hard time with them too. It's the smell, the tiredness of so much of the clothing and the fact that it isn't color and style sorted like Nordstrom. It affects my stupid. I see cool things that people get at thrift stores, but I always wonder if they really picked them up at the Rack because I never see things like that when I go. I think I am too impatient. I want the sales person to help me find cool things at a low price, stand outside my dressing room door and tell me what looks fabulous and what looks like crap..sheesh..get over yourself Susan.

I need to go back and see what that even means. It had cute furniture in the window. Maybe I've found my new store..

I live in a fairly upscale area and we have 2 or 3 consignment shops that I haven't visited. I will do that this weekend. Downtown Portland is full of them, I need to check them out..

Off to the gym..may play hookey from work. I'm the boss, so I can..

Thanks again for letting me hang with you guys...

I SO need to check out thrift and consignment stores around here! I can totally relate to what Freya said about buying plus sized clothes that didn't make me barf and wearing them until they shred. That has been my system for years now! My current wardrobe consists of very baggy, very worn out clothing. It's embarrassing. DD11 called me a hobo today!.

I hate, hate, hate clothes shopping, though. Even in a skinnier body, I've still got to figure out how to find stuff that fits me in the chest. I'm afraid to see what size I am now since the girls probably have kept it from changing significantly!..

I did the same thing! I gave almost everything to my small sister. She, ever so much more organized than I, promptly donated all the things that weren't her taste or her size. So I can't even cop 'em back. I'll want new stuff anyway, and the last time I was thin it was mostly just that one winter. This time I'll have a skinny summer (and fall and winter, and...) and I can't wait!..

I watched a show on the style network, and they did a makeover on a girl who was relatively thin, but very big-busted. She either looked sloppy or slutty in the clothes she bought for herself because they were all too big to go over her bust, or too tight on her bust so they wouldn't be baggy elsewhere..

They bought her a bunch of shirts and took them to a tailor and had them sized to fit her shape..

She looked amazing! You could see her shape and tell that she was fit, just busty..

Maybe that's the ticket?..

Zoe, that sounds like a good plan when I hit goal! Not going to invest the money in it now, but when I get into stuff I know I'll keep...absolutely! Thanks for the suggestion. Funny that at my age, I'd really not yet thought of that myself! I just keep my blinders on and keep on moving!..

Oh, me too! I remember getting a bunch of money/gift cards for Xmas after I hit goal. I was pretty excited until I actually went shopping. I was thought it would be SO much easier to find cute clothes in an 8 instead of an 18. Yeah, RIGHT! 8-10 is one of the most common sizes apparently and every cute thing I saw was either too big or too small. Then there were the pukey colors that year. I just hate shopping.

Right now the styles are against me again. I love long, calf/ankle length sundresses in bright vibrant colors. I'm relatively tall and long waisted so the longer dresses/skirts fit my body great. Last couple of years it's hard to even FIND a cute sundress, and when I do, they hit right below the knee, which is NOT a particularly good length for me and have waistbands that hit me right under the girls. My waist is actually several inches BELOW that.

Probably going to have to break out the sewing machine if I want cute dresses for the cruise...

You know what I don't get? People who completely substitute something for every Medifast meal and still say they are on the 5 & 1 plan. And then blog about Medifast and post on MC. I just don't get it. If you aren't on Medifast then why hang out on these boards?.

Rant over...

Sassy, one of the very reasons I am in here and my Bugg room and not out there...

That's why I'm always lurking here just behind the curtain. I read the other blogs and think WHAT don't you understand about 5 & 1??!! Can it be any clearer? On MC someone wanted to know how much low fat SLUDGE she could have and stay OP! Jeez.......

I had a weird clothes discovery once I was in the smaller sizes. I went through a friend's goodwill pile and took a bunch of things home. I LOVE having old broken-in pjs, sweaters, and thermal shirts. If it weren't for her cast-offs, I would have nothing old and ratty in my closet at all..

I just can't live up to the pressure of new clothes every single day. You know?..

Yeah slw, I hear ya. I don't begrudge people who go off of Medifast because they truly can't afford it. For some of us Medifast hits our budget hard, for others it's just too expensive. I do shake my head though when people say they are on Medifast 5 &1 and don't use a single Medifast product...

Hi TL'ers! I'm on my lunch break and somehow had time to catch up on the thread today..

No chopped tofu, I'm too tired and totally can't remember who wrote what. Sorry!.

I need a new scale, mine broke and now I'm weighing at work on the scale for large dogs. Not only is it a different scale with different readings, but someone always manages to walk in see me weighing. I don't care if they see my weight, but explaining why/what I'm doing to the practice manager is kind of uncomfortable!.

Amen sister! Bugs the crap out of me. Those are the same people who will then complain that they aren't losing fast enough, or are stalling. Really? You hit a plateau? Shocking!!!..

Hi everyone! I'm going to do some serious sewing of curtains and stuff, but I wanted to stop in and say hello first..

Congrats Cheri on the 2 pounds down - that is AWESOME!!!!!.

De - a SNAKE????? I mean - is he in your HOUSE? Or is he wandering around the back yard? OMG - I wouldn't be able to sleep if I knew there was a snake in my back yard!.

Bobbie - you did a very funny thing - a gazillon people call me Michelle. I have no idea why - they just do! It's like my name is sort of like Michelle I guess! So now I'm not even surprised by it - I knew you were talking to me :-).

Sassy - what a great feeling that must have been! Worth every hard moment on this plan! Don't you just want to somehow box that up so you can pull it out whenever you need a lift? I can't wait for that to happen to me!!!! I hear you on the MC boards - in my short 4 weeks here I've learned that I don't need to hear this stuff. I'm here doing Medifast for a reason - and I'm not about to **** around with it. Only success is good enough for me - and if 100% does that, I'm in... if not, I wouldn't be here. And from everything I've learned from everyone here in this group is that 100% DOES work. Amen..

Hi Freya! Hi Penny! I want to go to De's consignment/thrift stores!!!! I have some here in Closter which is a bit closer than AZ - so I may check them out in 20 or so pounds. I have a ton of 18s and 16s that used to fit me, I'm just getting into some of the tighter 18s now. But below 16 I have absolutely nothing. So 14 on down will be SO much fun!!!!..

Wow, I said a dirty word and didn't even realize it!..

That's why I'm hiding out in here as well! Watching people figure out ways around the plan is just discouraging to me. I get the money issue, totally, but my sense is that there are many who just want to find ways to eat what they want. For me, this process is as much about learning self control, changing my relationship to food and taking responsibility for my health as it is to losing weight. It is totally depressing to me to hear about others cheating and wondering why they aren't losing. If I wanted to find ways to eat what I want, I'd still be over there failing at WW!..

De... I was thinking about Scottsdale when the talk of consignment shops came up! I may come down when I hit goal just to go shopping! (Oh, and throw it in the face... I mean, visit... my husband's family.).

Zoe... try wearing scrubs! The cheap ones hang straight from your bust... make me look even heavier than I am! I tend to wear scrub bottoms with long sleeved tshirts and scrub jackets just so I don't look like a brightly colored box...

True DAT. When a very smart, well-educated friend of mine said, "Just one bite won't hurt," I lost a lot of respect for her brains and now I just don't think she's as smart as I used to. She really meant it and was shocked when I had an explanation for WHY one bite would INDEED hurt..

I sent the little one to school with the Door Prize earrings today. I'm picking her directly after school and taking her grocery shopping with me. She's a great helper..

Haircut time again this weekend! It comes around quickly with I have short hair. I am goinh a tad shorter this time. And losing a lot of the red. More browns and golds this time for spring. Red just fades too quickly. And more gold (without going blonde) will hide my grays!!! It's been a long time since I had any golden highlights and I'm excited...

I also heard Scootsdale has lots of Professional Organizers. NOT something I could do!..

Penny, I love your jewelry! If you end up shipping to NC anytime soon, it's probably me! I LOVE new earrings!..

Growing up we called it Snobsdale. (And I'm an Arcadia brat, so I'm entitled to the comment! LOL)..

Meslissa - Yes a snake and yes, IN MY HOUSE! I was NOT thrilled about it at first. My son bought a Ball Python and keeps it in a big tank in his room. The lid is weighted down and clamped so it can't get out. He has been told that if I ever find it outside it's cage when he is not holding it, his not so little pet will find it's way to the cotton fields on the Indian reservation quicker than he can say BOO! As snakes go, this one is actually pretty cool. It's very friendly and the boy has had no problems with it at all. What happens to it when he heads off to college remains to be seen. I do NOT touch, let alone feed the darned thing!..

No, you've got it wrong. It's SNOTSdale <snicker>..

Thank you, Jennifer! I'm always thinking of new designs. Today I'm wearing an experiment from last night - just a pair of gold and pearl wire wrapped post studs. Very pretty! I've made posts before, but these are a little different. I'm also getting ready to do some more designs in sterling silver...

Just popping in to say hi. I've kept up on all the threads..

Penny thanks for the new cool purple banner, I love it!.

You all have inspired me to head to the thrift stores. I have officially gone from 26s to 22s and I gave away everything in size 26 and 24. TONS of clothes. I didn't want to ever have room to grow in my clothes..

What I didn't think about was I am now down to 2 pairs of pants and a handful of shirts that fit. Pretty boring wardrobe right now. Need to hit those thrift shops and see if there is anything that might work for awhile..

I had a smaller loss this week than I have in the past, so I may have to adjust my goal in my head. I was hoping to hit 50 lbs at this next weigh-in, but now it may be the week after. I think I got all hung up on the number 50 and the scale just stood still this week..

Wish I knew a trick to force myself to not care about what that scale said..

Hope everyone is having a great day. It's a gorgeous day in the MidWest today..

No, I didn't eat it and no I won't, but there are flour tortillas in the bread basket that are taunting me. One of my favorite things to eat was that with a laughing cow wedge, veggies and a little salad dressing wrapped up in it. I'm going to have to wean the kids off them so they aren't in the house anymore...

Where in the midwest are you? We may be moving back there this summer...

South-Central Illinois....just south of I-70 halfway between St Louis, MO and Indianapolis, IN..

I don't care for the Midwestern Winters or Summers, but I absolutely LOVE their Spring and Fall..

My hubby grew up in the Chicago suburbs. We haven't lived there since '99...

We have a team rule here in the Tough Love world to not talk about off-plan foods, as they can be triggers for people. So please, when you want to mention some off-plan food you either did or did not eat, just say SLUDGE instead. And if you might eat something off-plan, come here to get talked down off the ledge first..

Oops, I forgot. I am sorry. I know I read that, but I forgot...

Yes- jean/leggings. they have fake pockets and a button but no zipper so they are pretty flat around the waist. mine from target have back pockets too! super cute..

I love jeggings! My DD does, too. She has a pair that she will rarely take off. I have to steal them and wash them at night!.

My case of S'mores bars just arrived at the door. Oh, happy, happy day!!!..

I got my jeggings from Target as well! I love them, mostly because a size 10 fit when I'm really a 12! And no muffin top!..
