That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably can help you..
Basically, that text is there, not to inform you, but to inform visitors to your iPage site that is is not live..
You should leave it there, or something similar, until you go live, and in the meantime you can set up your shop in peace without people trying to place orders...
1. Note the version that cpanel installed for you..
2. FTP the catalog dir down to your PC..
3. Edit catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php, you will find it there in the top...
What do you use to edit .php??.
Any text editor will do the trick. You could even use notepad, but I personally use textpad..

It has some great features like color coding and an ftp client..
I have your every day basic HTML knowledge. I have been looking for a shopping cart that was easily managed for use on my website. I have been playing around in my C-Panel from my current iPage hosting provider and came across osCommerce. I installed it thru Cpanel and was able to make all my changes to the catalog. What fun that was! Now when I go to: mysite/store (where the catalog is located) the first page up looks nice, but tells me:.
OK - call me dumb, but how do I do this? It has the links already there and clickable for my catalog, so I dont want to mess up the setup process I went thru in the catalog. What do you guys suggest?.
Thanks in advance for any help!!.
Desperatly needing advice..
~Help much appreciated. I will go read now!.
