First question I got is Has anyone here had problems with 123 Looking forward for any answer. Another question on my mind: Hi all.

I’m looking for a bit of help, I have a customer that has purchased a reseller account from me and used his own domain registered with Godaddy. That’s all works fine and there wasn’t any problem, it’s been working for several months..

He then tried pointing another domain name to his private name servers that he had set up and the domain would not work. I did a DNS check using intodns and got the following error “ERROR: Some of your DNS servers do not have A records at all. I could not find any A records for the following DNS servers:”.

After talking with my dedicated server provider I told him to contact 123 reg as the problem is caused by the server. Which he did but never got very helpful responses or no response at all. He then transferred the domain name to my reseller account with reseller club which is provided by WHMCS. He has now basically asked that I deal with it and fix the problem. I checked the private name servers and IP addresses, deleted them and created new ones but no luck. I have contacted WHMCS support and am waiting for a reply, has anyone had a similar experience, if you have how did you solved it?.

Thanks, best wishes.

Hi I have tried to delete and recreate the name servers using the manage child name servers but I have had no luck, I also asked my server provider to login in and have look and they couldn’t see any problems. That’s when I contacted WHMCS there response time for domain name is not great. So you agree with my server provider that it is registrar end may be they aren’t just trying to end the instant chat. Lol.

Thanks for your help.

I think you need to do a couple of things..

First, do a 'whois' on the shell, paste us the output..

If it does not exist, you may not have registered the dns servers at your registrar..

Second, do a 'dig A', to see if the a-record resolves..

And finally, it would really help to know the domain, if you feel like it you can message me it and I can do a little rundown of the DNS...
