I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could give you an answer..

Amazon has a web services API that allows you to integrate your shopping cart with their shopping cart. In other words, instead of storing the shopping carts in your database they are stored on Amazon's site. The user doesn't know that this is occuring until they go to checkout..

It shouldn't be too hard to rewrite the shopping cart to support this. There are two methods to do this, XML and SOAP. I am going to attempt to do the rewrite using SOAP as I am interested in setting up an Amazon shop. I am not that fluent in PHP so if anyone has any suggestions on how to do this please let me know...

After some research I found that the PHP API for Amazon Web Services has already been written..

AmazonLib.

Allows you easy access to AWS..

I figure that the easiest way to implement this is to write a page that copies the shopping cart from osCommerce to Amazon's remote shopping cart. To bypass the normal check out procedure you would change filenames.php at line 30 from.

Define('FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING', 'checkout_shipping.php');.

To.

Define('FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING', 'checkout_amazon.php');.

Checkout_amazon.php being the page that you create to copy the shopping cart over to Amazon..

I will post the replacement page when I get it written...

Let me know when it's done. I've setup an amazon store with selected books at.

Using an integration within phpnuke, but I think it would be a marvel if amazon services may be integrated with osCommerce. I'm pretty interested about this!!!..

Can't it just be an affiliate of amazon, show the book one would like to sell and instead off having a link "buy now" osc shopping checkout, have a link of the products in amazon?.

I like to sell only a few books but through affiliation. it is good idea?.

Thanks.

Hi,.

I would be interested in a feature where, once an osc search is performed, the osc shop shows it's results in a box and then displays (on the bottom) another box where matches from amazon are displayed..

Has anyone programmed this yet?.

If not I will probably go ahead and start doing it..

Cheers.
