Medifast is a wonderful program with many different types of support and a fabulous community. We understand that everyone is an adult and this is not a "mean" group. For some of us, we thrive on this program if we have a place where we are held accountable, where we commit to the program 100% and where we have a place to chat with others who feel the same..

What we believe:.

1. Cheating on Medifast is NOT a strategy to get us out of our fat suits.

2. The only way for us to learn about our problems with food is to take the word "choice" out of the equation when it comes to Medifast. Our only "choice" is 5 packets and 1 weighed and measured lean and green a day.

3. We look to those who have been successful with this strategy to continuously remind us about why this way, for us, is the way to go.

4. We believe that, even though we are completely committed, knowing that we have a group that holds us accountable for our actions is both useful and important.

We commit to:.

1. Remove the word "choice" from our vocabularies.

2. Follow the Medifast plan as written, including transition and maintenance.

3. Tell our "inner brat" to shut the H-E-** up and quiet him or her through abstenance from off plan foods.

4. Give and receive tough love without complaining or calling each other "mean".

5. Cheerlead fellow group members as they follow the path to thinness.

6. Make Medifast the LAST diet we ever go on.

7. Check in with the group as often as our schedule reasonably allows.

8. Be honest with ourselves and our Medifast family and to stay 100% OP at all times. We also swear that WHEN (not if) we are having a tough time and feel like we may eat SLUDGE, to come to our Medifast family first and ask for support and help to get us through the struggle..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you an answer..

Morning Anna! Thanks for starting us off. I just noticed your new avatar. Very nice!.

Yum, good coffee, thanks...

Good morning, Anna and MT! First night shift almost over... possible ER coming in but it is at least an hour away. Got some studying in for my upcoming certification exam and some walking as well. Hoping I have enough energy to do the 20 minute Turbo Jam when I get home... will have to play that by ear..

Anna, I'm glad your hubby's clothes made it out there with him!! It would have been very inconvenient if they had missed the connecting flight!..

I can't sleep if I exercise before I go to bed. I get too revved up. I have to exercise when I get up. Not sure how you do it, Ella <3..

Morning MT and Anna and everyone coming in a little later!.

I've been gone for a couple of days but rest assured I'm still 100% OP and happy!.

I'm trying not to feel so overwhelmed in my life by getting some of the little things done that it seems I never have time to do. Part of that is by staying off the internet so I can stay motivated to do it..

So please don't mistake my silence for falling off the wagon. Just takin care of business..

This weekend my big job is finishing my taxes and doing my mom's. Not fun, but such is life..

Oh, and yesterday I bought a pair of DKNY jeans in a size 6 and a size 4 at Costco. They were half price of what they were last year when they had this style of jeans. That pair of 6 was the only pair left in that size. The rest were only size 4's and 2's. I'm guessing they found those in storage and cut the price in half to get rid of them. So dumb they would have that many size 4's and 2's in the first place.

Anyhoo, all that to say that I can get the size 6's up over my hips and buttoned barely if I don't want to breath. I didn't even try the 4's yet. I'm just amazed and in awe that they will probably fit some day..

The vanity sizing is crazy! I have size 12 dresses in my closet from years back that are still way to tight to wear. So someday maybe I will be saying I wear anything from a size 4 to 12. too funny!.

Wow! that was a lot of words! lol! Guess that's what happens when I don't stop by for a couple of days!.

Have a great weekend, my friends!..

Good morning Anna MT and Ella and whoever jumps in before I'm done....

Anna coffee is great... Busy saturday for me.. up at 6am, elliptical done... Need to shower have breakfast then dropping son at lacrosse practice (lax in all future posts).. Going to work for a couple of hours and then hopefully a mani & pedi. Son needs cleats sneakers and clothes but will have to wait I need some me time...

Snow is all melted here and I can see my entire pool cover.. Two more months and the pool will be open!!! Maybe I will get a bikini this year (not for public though) I really want a belly ring but I think 47 is too old for that...

Anyway, didn't mean for anyone to choke on their coffee....

Enjoy your day all I will check back later!!.

I can pretty much always sleep. If my mind is racing I either hop in a hot shower (totally relaxes me) or curl up with a boring book in bed. If I do both I'm pretty much guaranteed to be out within 5 minutes of my head hitting the pillow..

I'm on call starting at 3 pm so I will make sure to get sleep early... although we'd have to have a TON of patients come in before I'd actually get called in... we only have four in the hospital right now!..

Cindy, if you want a belly ring... get a belly ring. Who cares how old you are? It's how old you feel inside!..

Morning all - stopping in for some yummy TL coffee before I'm off with the GKs for a day of sliding, splashing and playing..

I'm with Ella - it's how you feel.

60 <ahem, still 59> isn't too old to jump in the various pools with all the kids but me thinks 47 may be a bit.

To get a belly ring..

And, really, who's going to see it that cares...that matters??.

I wore a modest bikini on my honeymoon My theory was, tan fat looked better than white fat. The hubs wore a speedo.

We're reruns in the marriage department, so we weren't young and skinny...I was 49 and about 180...DH was 53 and in pretty decent shape. The point being, who cares?.

So, in the who cares dept, I gotta go shave my legs....cuz.

Care! Nobody will be looking that closely, but I gotta do what makes.

Feel comfortable..

Have a great day, TLer's. I plan on it!!..

Cindy- try sports authority for the cleats. My ds1 did lax for a few years then stopped last year due to the coach. Sad because he really enjoyed it..

Anna -thanks for the coffee..

Ella- I like to exercise before bed as well. during the summer months I'll go to the gym late at night 10pm and stay till 1 am. No one is usually around. Love my quiet time..

Chickie-have fun shopping..

Morning to all those I missed. Time to go work...

For those of you that can exercise at night it really is a good thing.. The closer you exercise before bed the more you will burn during sleep.....

Morning kids. Going to be an almost hot day here (86 I think). I need some good sun time though, so the Ren Fest today should be a great day for shorts and a tank..

I haven't worn a bikini in 20 years, and while I may to sun in the privacy of my own backyard, I will NEVER wear one in public again, regardless of how thin I am. The stretch marks from 2 children will never go away, and seem to become more noticeable when the weight drops. Maybe something like Penny posted once - the boy shorts with a bikini top, but a true bikini? Nope. Never..

As for the belly button ring - Ella - What's the point in getting one if you aren't going to show it off?.

Anna - Thanks for getting us started today..

Well, need to get some things done before we head out to the festival. Hope everyone has a great Saturday. I'll talk to you later on...

Thanks for the coffee, Anna, it's much appreciated..

You+DH in your avatar+ perfect!.

Home Sweet Home! Lost all energy in CA with kids, so did not make it up to Seattle to be with sibs..

We're so happy to be home! DH off doing a forensic case right now. I am in bed with what I hope is just a cold/flu. not that hacking mess so many have had. We'll see..

Ella, my DH is just like you, falls asleep anywhere and anytime. Essential for the profession..

I miss my little Daisy so much. But DD2 is our financial (+everything) responsibility for life, so we remain where DH is not only respected and appreciated, but in a solvent state where he can earn decent money to pay for her care. DH plans on retiring in 6 years when he turns 70. 70? We just got married! Aren't we still 21 and 22? Guess not..

Enjoy your weekend, TLers!.

Good morning everyone!.

I got up early and most of my migraine has dissipated though I've got some lingering numbness and vision problems, and I can't handle noise. Thanks for the well wishes yesterday..

I just went to a craft show and bought a giant wooden chicken for outside. DSO just weighed it and it weighs 48 pounds! I was shopping on my own - I tend to make crazier decisions when left unchecked. It's from a woodcarver in the area that makes big stuff out of logs. I already have a bear from him. The bear sits on a ledge in my house and holds my glasses by wearing them..

Today is clean the messy house day and precook food for whatever gaggle of inlaws come over tomorrow with our new tractor! We were going to get it last weekend, but it didn't work out, so tomorrow is the big day. I'm pretty excited..

And all this bikini talk! I haven't worn a bikini in a long, long time, and even when I did, I didn't look good. I'm just aiming for being willing to wear a bathing suit that doesn't include mens swim trunks..

I declined an invitation to go out this evening because I'm still not pleased with the way I look. I know that's silly, but I'm working on getting back to a comfortable size for me, and I just don't want people to see me right now. I know it means I'm missing out on fun and friendship because of my own hangups, and I doubt my friends notice or care, but I'm just messed up over it and would sooner stay home than feel crazy all night. And part of the evening is spent at a place where I know all the regulars, so it isn't as if I could blend in..

Hope today rocks for all of you!..

Good morning and happy Saturday!.

Just finishing my first cup of coffee and already thinking about the second one. Good job, Anna. No sense in drinking coffee you can see through. Weve taught you well..

I had terrible foot and ankle cramps again last night. It started around 3:30 am and kept bugging me every time I relaxed enough to go back to sleep. Horrible cramps in my outer ankle and across the top of my foot to my big toe. At one point it was such a fast hard cramp that it hurt the joint in my toe. I just dont get it. In addition to everything thats in my Medifast meals, Im also taking a good multivitamin, a womens 50+ one with extra calcium.

I still think it's my lower back which is very sore and tight this morning..

Chickie, I agree about the vanity sizing. I have a pair of jeans that were my goal jeans in 2009 when I first din MF. They were from 2001. They made my behind look great and I loved them. I kept them hoping to wear them again one day. When I did get into them, I was wearing other clothes in a size 10.

Even now, I am wearing things that are 6, 8 and 10..

Cindy, know what? I am 47 and I will wear my belly ring proudly this summer! I got mine in 2000. I also got my tongue done, but I let that close because it was just too PWT (poor white trash) after a while. There were things I wanted to bring into the new millennium with me and a tattoo, belly ring and tongue stud were all on the list. I do take the belly ring out when I get uhhhh hefty. Its not comfortable with tight clothes. As a matter of fact, it's getting about time to start wearing it again.

Jan I hope you have a wonderful time there today! You are gonna be the hottest Grandma there! Rock it, girl!.

De, enjoy the Ren Fest and the sunshine today!.

Beth, I love the new avi! What a big change from the last one!.

I was creative once again last night. I was able to go out and get more glass pearls than I needed, in more colors and sizes than I needed Id love to dive in again this morning, but were looking to leave here in about 90 minutes and wont be back until tomorrow afternoon, so this is me signing off and hoping you all have a great weekend! Play nice and keep your eyes on that prize!..

Hello all my favorite MFers in the WHOLE WORLD!!! (That just makes me chuckle!).

I can't believe today marks my 52nd week on MF! Wow. It really went by fast and I was NOT MISERABLE for 1 second of it! It all blows me away..

As a reward, my husband has surprised me with a romantic weekend in Chattanooga TN and right now he is in the shower...while I am pirating his computer to post. I won't likely be back to chat until tomorrow evening, and more likely Monday morning, because we have quite a weekend planned!.

I am so excited to have 114 pounds off my body FOREVER, to have a super supportive husband and kids (and in-law kids), and most of all I thank GOD for leading me to Medifast. Without Medifast and YOU my very dear Medifast friends...I wouldn't be celebrating this moment..

Thank you for celebrating with me. I <3 you all!!!!!..

Pittie.. 114lbs gone... Be proud what an awesome accomplishment.. Keep it up!!!.

Wow ! A well-deserved holiday. Isn't it wonderful to be in love with life!..

Pittie - WOOT for you!!! Enjoy your weekend and be proud! We are!!.

Penny - You have a great time too..

I am looking to come home with a tan. Always nice to get some tan in March. While my "white" skin is still darker than most people's, I feel very pasty white right now and need me some color!..

Pittitie you rock!1.

Beth I love your new pic too and thank you.

Good Morning to all.

Went to the thrift shops, got 2 capris, one short, one pr of jeans and one top for 12 bucks. can't beat that. All in size 14 but one thing, some fits now some will fit in another 10-15 lbs. My old summer clothes are all far too big...

HI all TL MFers!.

Thanks for the coffee Anne..

Im off this weekend and plan to do some spring cleaning and purging of my house. I have two little boys who mess up the house instantly so it wont be clean for long. But I just love to declutter and get rid of stuff. A cluttered house really effects my mood, makes me feel crazy and out of control. I also think I will get a pedicure this weekend..

Hi everyone, I'm sick with a horrible cold. Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that I am 100%OP, just really feeling icky. I hope everyone is well, I'll be back - I need to sleep..

Hello to all the TLers! Just wanted to stop in quickly to state that my beautiful, Penny originals earrings arrived today. They are even prettier in person than on her ETSY site!.

Everyone have a great saturday evening and a wonderful OP sunday. Wish I had time to hang out with you guys today!..

Hey Tlers! I'm taking two of my kid friends to see STOMP tonight. Seriously excited about it! And loving that my body is smaller and fits into theater chairs nicely...

Back from the ren fest. Awesome as usual. Took a bar and some puffs along and had a great time with the kids. Also wore a pedometer just for fun and we walked 3.95 miles. Not too shabby for an old grandma with a bum ankle.

Beautiful day. Not unbearably hot and a nice breeze. This is the time of year that I do LOVE AZ. Come summer, not so much...

De.. sounds like a great time and exercise too...I wish the weather here was as warm as Az I am cold all the time.....

I can not wait for that day to come along for me! Have fun. Hope the show is as good as I've heard it is...

As much as I HATE flying I am looking forward to fitting in my seat in April and not being worried about if I will have seat belt left over I weighed 235 last time I flew and was getting close to needing one...

Hi everyone. Wow...not so much to catch up on today. Whew! On plan and watered. Day of rest though. At my age I need to rest those muscles every once in a while. Tomorrow is a long run day.

Congrats Pittie/Barb! I know my 5+1 time was very easy. Thank you Medifast and those who kept me on plan..

Have a great evening everyone..

No chopped tofu!..

Hi all!.

Posting before I catch up because I'm not sure I'll have the time to catch up on the past 3 days. I've been super busy, but it's not a bad thing. Keeps me out of trouble!.

Tomorrow is our first dock diving competition of the season so I'll be gone all day tomorrow too. So I'm saying hi now and waving to all!.

Wow... good "morning" all!! Not even going to TRY to do a full shout out, but Sassy, I hope the show is great and De... sounds like a great day! (Oh, and she can show off the bb ring if she WANTS to... she just shouldn't care what anyone else thinks!) Melissa, I hope you feel better.... Zoe, I'm glad you do feel better... and I'm sure I missed a gazillion things with that!.

I ended up not exercising until I got up... I was just too tired. (But I'm a member of.

Team Beachbody.

, so every day you exercise and log it into their program you get entered into a daily drawing for anywhere from $300 to $1000.... I'm NOT missing a day of exercise!) Here's the fun part... apparently my 14 year old son tried to do the "Learn and Burn" introductory workout that comes with my Turbo Jam... and couldn't finish it! (and he's on the football team!!!) I can do the 20 or 40 minute full workout (isn't pretty near the end of the 40 minute one, but I can do it)... he just grinned and said, "I bow down to the Turbo Jam master..." Smart aleck!! Did it with my oldest daughter..... she's the best workout buddy!.

Even better... down to 193.3 .... that next decade is getting so close!!! Yay!..

Those of you who have daylight savings time don't forget to change the clocks tonight!..

I get bilked out of an hour of pay tonight... it SUCKS! I mean seriously, I was born and raised in Arizona where we know that WWII is over... DST is so frustrating for me!..

Definitely a bonus here. Although it is confusing as to which time we're on at any given time. We have DH's father in Utah and my mom in CA. So 1/2 the year we are in time with one, and the other 1/2 with the other. Just when we get it down, it changes again. Oh well...

De, glad to hear Ren Faire was ossum - it's great your kid wanted you along. Love it!.

Sassy, have an amazing time!!!.

Pittie, I am just thrilled for you. You have done amazing things, and I am so impressed by your commitment and success. Hooray!!!.

As for me, I'm really tired. Don't know if it's that it's sort of spring break now (still have my day job and a paper due Tuesday), or transition. I'm guessing transition. Today was the first fruit day and I'm just knackered...
