My first question is Home Page on Yahoo iPage Won't Load? Many thanks for any response. Another question... OK, I've set all file permissions on folders to 0777 & files to 0644, got my admin page & default oscommerce store site.. But when I go to the php code in the column.left file & try to cancel/hide the manufacturers box, nothing happens. I put the 2 dashes in the code like so.. // include(DIR_WS_BOXES'manufacturers.php'); & yes I did save it..

I've put in the dashes via the admin iPage site & in the saved php file in my Dreamweaver software but still nothing happens! Ifv anyones got any suggestions no matter how small, I will be v grateful! I'm seriously goin nuts over this...

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at iPage as they probably could assist you..

Thanx Jim,.

I tried that but still nothing happened. I got a feeling that my problems got nothin 2 do with the code...

Comment #2

Or if you are using a template the code might be in includes/header.php..

Comment #3

Thanx Nick. No I'm not using a template, but I will bear that in mind for future...

Comment #4

Have you tried putting // in front of ALL the lines of code I posted?..

Comment #5

Thanx again Jim..

I actually can't make any changes at the moment cause I foolishly changed sum file permissions from 755 to 777 in a fit of desperation (& now I hav 2 find them & change em back! cause the 'save' button doesn't appear underneath the php code box in oscommerce admin) but I will try that as soon as I can get back 2 editing the code! Just wanted you 2 know I hav read & acknowledged your last comment...

Just to throw a spanner in the works it is recommended not to use the file manager in the admin area of your shop..

I'd download it using an ftp client, edit it, upload back to same place...

Personally, I'd liken it to looking for a gas leak by candlelight......

The code actually looks like this (most likely):.

If ((USE_CACHE == 'true') && empty($SID)) {.

Echo tep_cache_manufacturers_box();.

} else {.

Include(DIR_WS_BOXES'manufacturers.php');.

}.

It may still be grabbing data from the cache, if you have that enabled..

Try setting ".

Use Cache.

" to.

False.

In your Admin.

Save it...
