That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I find an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you an answer..
Trust me when I tell you that we all know the pain of sipping but that's just part of the tool. You really want to take advantage of this first couple of months. But you'll drink again, full thirst quenching guzzling gulps of water.
Because I couldn't "quench" my thirst with all that damn sipping no matter how much I sipped. I'm not sure what was worse.. sipping or the liquid part of the Medifast diet I had to do. This to shall pass...
You may want to do a quick review of what you are eating. Check salt, sodium levels, any msg,.
, preservatives etc. Sometimes ingredients are causing thirst. Also, are/ were you diabetic?..
Archives for thirst:.
Oh my, thought that was just me. I could never seem to quinch my thirst either. But.... I am now 3 weeks and now can take almost a mouthful at a time(yes only one mouthful every few min.) but my thirst is getting taken care of..
On top of that I ended up with a unirary infection and they wanted me to drink more than 64 oz. Yeah right! Then 2 days after that diagnosis I was scheduled for a CT by my doc to make sure nothing else was going on and they said I had to drink 3 bottles of water the hour before the test.... excuse me?..... I couldn't. but the test was okay with a 1/2 bottle and showed diverticulitis...... Now with all the antibiotics I am thirsty again.....
Loss, but hopefully this will all pass soon..
3 weeks post op and down 28 Yahoooooooo!!..
Thought I was gonna shrivel up from dehydration but it gradually got better just hang in there you are doing good!..
I took a gulp of water yesterday without thinking! Boy, was that painful! That cramp that followed the large gulp reminded me of the importance of sipping! Believe me, you do not want to gulp! (smile) I am 5 months out...
No diabetes and not a lot of salt- just plain want to drink my dang water..
I experimented a little last night and took a big gulp of water but kept it in my mouth slowly sipping it down from my cheeks... that worked wonders!..
I am almost 14 weeks out and I guess I don't "sip" really anymore but kinda drink. I surely don't GULP, as I learned that the hard way one day. I wasn't thinking and started gulping one day and boy did it hurt and I ended up throwing it up. LOL don't worry, it will get better :)..
