That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at iPage as they probably know..
Using FastStone histogram on your images..
The color mode you use for your images is CMYK not RGB..
CMYK is good for print jobs but not web related stuff..
All versions of IE and Firefox 1.X and 2.x cannot handle CMYK color mode..
Firefox 3 can show images using CMYK color mode..
Try opening them in an image editor such as IrfanView and re-save them as jpg..
It will convert them to RGB mode automatically..
::here's another deck:: ->Blackjack?..
That must be why when I open the image I saved from the iPage site with Paint, then save it under another file name it's only about 1/4 the size (bytes) of the original..
Whew, thank goodness, I resized a couple and uploaded them again, but they must have worked becuase I opened them with irfanview and resized them and then resaved them. So instead of resizing them all I just opened them and then saved them from irfanview..
When I exported the vector images from adobe illustrator to a jpeg the default was CMYK so I just left it that way. That explains it..
Thanks for all the ideas guys!..
Let's all give Bryce a big hand - He figured it out!.
Changed the size to half it's size and it opened in ie just fine. hmmmmm..
I note google picassa don't like your pics iether, but open in paint & save & all ok!!..
